Momochi Beach may seem like a convenient place to work with its beautiful buildings, but in reality, there are very few options for lunch. There are some places available, but they are overwhelmingly scarce. As a result, many people end up going to convenience stores or buying bento boxes from places like Hotto Motto. During lunchtime, there is a major traffic jam and it can be quite crowded, so I try to avoid it by going to buy lunch at off-peak times. Hotto Motto nearby is a lifesaver! (laughs)

Located south of the TNC Broadcasting Hall in Momochi-Hama, Sawara-ku, Fukuoka City, this well-known takeout bento shop in Kyushu is called "Hotto Motto". It is a chain of takeout bento shops that changed its name from "Hokka Hokka Tei" in 2008, under the umbrella of Plenus Co., Ltd., based in Hakata, which also operates the Yayoiken (formerly Meshiya Donburi) and MK Restaurant. It has over 2500 stores nationwide, mainly in Kyushu and Yamaguchi. They pride themselves on using their own brand of rice called "Kinme Mai", which is a blend of domestically produced rice that is milled and cooked in a high-powered gas pot. Recently, they have also started offering "Mochi Barley Rice", which is rich in dietary fiber and popular among health-conscious individuals, as an option for almost all menu items. The reviewer mentions that they have been a frequent customer of Hotto Motto, even before it was known as Hokka Hokka Tei, and have enjoyed hundreds if not thousands of meals from there. They particularly like the "Takana Bento" with the option to change to "Mochi Barley Rice". The reviewer also mentions that the "Takana Bento" is a regional specialty menu in Kyushu and Yamaguchi. The bento consists of rice topped with Takana, Kinshi Tamago, and Beni Shoga, with side dishes such as Chicken Tempura, String Bean Tempura, Kinpira Gobo, and Konbu and Katsuobushi Okaka. The reviewer appreciates the balanced lineup of dishes and the fact that despite containing fried items, the meal is relatively healthy at 623kcal. They recommend the "Takana Bento" as a good option for a quick meal, especially during a time when there are many options for fast food.
