I visited WAOWAO along the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. I ordered at the counter right after climbing the stairs and then chose a seat. This time, I sat at a table by the window. There are also sofa seats where you can relax. Now, the matcha has been served. It is a generous amount, more than you would get at a tea ceremony. It has a nice aroma, and when you sip it, you can enjoy a pleasant astringency followed by a lingering sweetness on the tongue.

The second floor of the shop is where you can find the store, while gelato is available on the first floor. Be careful not to give in to temptation. The cocoa and matcha tiramisu served in a wooden box is a popular item at the shop, so be sure to try it out.

During a group tour in November 2020, we visited Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine and had lunch there. I had the Cheese Keema Curry, while my husband had a hot sandwich, and we both enjoyed Zenzai for dessert. The Cheese Keema Curry was delicious. The restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere and was not crowded, so we were able to enjoy a leisurely lunch.

I went to have some chewy matcha tiramisu! Since I hadn't eaten lunch, I also ordered a hot sandwich. The hot sandwich had plenty of spicy cod roe inside, with three small pieces of mochi. It was just the right amount for a light meal! The matcha tiramisu had a rich matcha flavor, perfect for matcha lovers! It had sweet bean paste and sponge cake at the bottom. Personally, I was full after the hot sandwich and matcha tiramisu. The place is WAOWAO, located upstairs after going up the stairs at the back of ViTO's store!

After visiting Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, I stopped by this place on the way back. When I went up to the second floor, the space was stylish. Sitting at the counter, I enjoyed the refreshing light blue color in front of me. I had a matcha tiramisu with chewy mochi and a matcha latte. Both had a strong matcha flavor and were delicious. I was very satisfied to enjoy delicious matcha in such a calming space.

I found myself on the 2nd floor of VITO. Despite being tempted by the gelato, I managed to arrive at the location. I tried the tiramisu in a cup, which had only two flavors - cocoa and matcha (feeling somewhat like Dazaifu). Priced at a reasonable 500 yen per cup, the taste was neither outstanding nor disappointing, but it was delicious.

Original Curry =========== The original curry at this restaurant is delicious and flavorful. The spices are perfectly balanced, and the dish is full of rich and aromatic flavors. I highly recommend trying it if you visit this restaurant.

Visited around 3 pm on Sunday. Ordered at the counter and then took a seat. The interior of the restaurant is spacious with white walls. Despite being a good time on a Sunday, there was only one group of customers. Tried the chewy matcha tiramisu for ¥500, which was the reason for my visit. Served in a cup, it had a mochi-like texture with a creamy exterior. Delicious! Perfect for matcha lovers. For those who don't like matcha, there was also a cocoa tiramisu available. Other menu items included hot sandwiches and curry.

I found a shop near the entrance of Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine where tourists (including myself) gather to visit and relax. The shop has a unique layout, with a café on the first floor (completely unrelated) and the shop on the second floor. The layout is a bit confusing, but personally, I like it! When you go up to the second floor, the interior is open and spacious. There are non-smoking and smoking sections, with the non-smoking area by the window where you can see Dazaifu from the second floor! The sunlight is great, and on a sunny day, it's very pleasant to spend time there! Now, onto the order. The most popular item is the Tiramisu Set (Matcha Tiramisu, Matcha Latte HOT) for 1000 yen. It's a great value set! The matcha tiramisu has a rich flavor. The texture may not be the best, but overall, it's above average! The matcha latte is not too sweet or bitter, and I thought it paired really well with the tiramisu! I think it's a place where you can visit Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine and take a leisurely break. With good value and location, definitely worth a visit!

Cafe on the 2nd floor of VITO on the approach to Temmangu Shrine. There is only a staircase, so you can't bring a stroller. If you ask the staff at the small shop on the 1st floor, they will keep your stroller behind a partition to prevent theft. However, there are no kids' chairs on the 2nd floor, and the floor is concrete, so it might be easier with a baby carrier. You place your order on the 2nd floor, next to the staircase. In addition to cafe menu, there are also light meal options and alcoholic drinks available. This time, I bought the matcha tiramisu and regular tiramisu, which seemed to be the signature menu items. You can also get a set with a drink including matcha. The tiramisu had mochi inside and was light and refreshing in taste. The atmosphere and the tiramisu both had a trendy, Instagrammable vibe. However, perhaps due to it being hard to find on the 2nd floor or because it was a weekday, there were hardly any people there, and it felt almost like a private space. It might be perfect for those who want to relax and enjoy a quiet tea time.

This is a shop on the second floor. I came to Fukuoka for a visit. The shop is popular among women. The matcha and mochi matcha tiramisu are delicious. The omurice curry was just average (laughs). I would like to eat here again when I come back to Fukuoka.

I stopped by this restaurant after a long time. As usual, when I went up to the second floor, it was surprisingly full. It seems like there are more customers now (laughs). I noticed that there were seats available in the smoking section, so I decided to sit there. This restaurant has smoking and non-smoking sections separated by a door, and for some reason, the smoking section by the window has a nice view. Today, I had the Original Curry. Price: 800 yen. The taste is the same as the Om Curry I had last time. However, without the egg, you can really taste the curry flavor. Personally, I prefer this one. The portion size is suitable for women, just like last time. It might be nice if they offered a larger size for men. After the meal, I had a matcha latte from Vito on the first floor. It's nice that there is an ice cream shop on the first floor so you can choose dessert. However, all the other customers were eating matcha tiramisu instead of ice cream. I might have made a mistake. Is it a specialty here? I'll try it next time. I enjoyed my time here once again.

I stopped by here on my way back from the National Museum because I was feeling a bit hungry. I've been here before, maybe this is my second visit? Today, I ordered the omu curry. The omu curry costs ¥900 and the drink costs ¥250. The curry is a Western-style curry that goes well with omurice. The omurice is served on multigrain rice with a fluffy egg on top, making it visually appealing and more geared towards women. The portion size might be a bit small for guys looking for a hearty meal, but it's just right for a light snack. There were mostly female customers, so it felt a bit cramped for us guys (laughs). Overall, it's a good place for a quick break.

It is located near Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. The place is on the street leading to the shrine, but since it is on the second floor, it may be a bit hard to find. Look for vito on the first floor as a landmark. It is located on the second floor behind vito. The menu offers light meals and desserts. Today, I forgot to take photos, but I had curry and the chewy matcha tiramisu shown in the photo. The curry used five-grain rice and had a gentle flavor. It may not be suitable for those looking for a strong curry taste. There were also other options like omu curry, so I am curious about them too. The matcha had a mild bitterness and was easy to drink. Maybe it was because of the ice? The chewy matcha tiramisu, as the name suggests, had a charming chewy texture. It's a trendy matcha tiramisu, and it was my first time trying it, so I can't compare it to others, but I found it delicious. However, I personally prefer a slightly stronger matcha flavor. There are plenty of seats, so I thought it was a good place to take a break after visiting the shrine.

You can have lunch with a drink for around 1000 yen, and the place is spacious, making it great for families, groups of friends, or couples. They have unique hot sandwiches like the mentaiko mochi cheese, which surprisingly tastes good. It's a bit inconvenient that they don't serve coffee, so you have to go to the first floor Vito to get some. The matcha latte made with Yame tea is delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. The smoking area seats are unfortunately the best in the house, but you can catch a glimpse of the approach and enjoy the sunny spot.
