Visited Sapporo Station on May 13, 2023, just a 3-minute walk away! I came to the creative izakaya "Saiya" located on the basement floor of Asti 45, which has many private rooms. Rumor has it that they have many photogenic menu items. So, I ordered some photogenic dishes! Here's what I had: - Luxurious Staircase Sashimi Assortment: Fresh sashimi beautifully arranged on a staircase, perfect for photos! - Lamb Roast Jingisukan Cheese Fondue: Lamb roast jingisukan served with cheese fondue! The rich cheddar cheese is irresistible! - Sauteed Duck with Yuzu Pepper: The duck meat had a nice texture, and the yuzu pepper added a great touch! - Large-sized Wagyu Brisket Sushi with Mountain Wasabi: Ending with seared wagyu sushi! The performance of searing it in front of us with a burner was appetizing! All the dishes were generous in portion size, and after trying four dishes, I was already full (laughs). The romaine lettuce salad was delicious and the variety of alcohol was great, allowing us to enjoy for 2.5 hours! The dishes looked more luxurious than expected and were worth the price. Although there were only two of us, the portion size was large, so I recommend going with about three people.

I used it for a drinking party at work. After making a reservation on Tabelog, I received a call starting with Tokyo 03, which was from the restaurant. I was informed that an additional 550 yen would be charged because it was the day before a holiday, and that the all-you-can-drink would be for 2 hours instead of 2.5 hours. I made a reservation for a private room through Tabelog, but they couldn't secure a private room. The night before, I received a call confirming the seating arrangement, and was told that it would be an L-shaped seat, and that there would be one seat less than the number of people, so one person would have a birthday seat. Even though it was the night before, I couldn't cancel without incurring a cancellation fee, so I had to accept it even if it was confirmed at the last minute. When I arrived at the restaurant, they said it would be an L-shaped seat, but there were separate seats for 4 people in a quite distant area, and despite making a reservation 2 weeks ago, only separate seats were secured for the same group, which was surprising. Also, I didn't know the details of the all-you-can-drink menu, but when I saw the menu on the day, there was no beer, and I was told that an additional 550 yen would be required to add beer. In the end, it was 1100 yen more than the course menu on Tabelog, the all-you-can-drink time was shorter, the seats were very narrow, and it was quite disappointing. I had already been informed in advance that the time would be shortened and an additional charge would be applied the day before the holiday, so I had already agreed to it, but when I was told about the seating situation the night before and didn't know the details of the all-you-can-drink menu, I was surprised to find out that there was no beer. I don't think I'll go there again.

Today I had work in Sapporo. After finishing, I was invited to dinner at a restaurant I had never been to before, which made me very happy! However, we agreed to meet at the restaurant, so I went there alone. It was a 5-minute walk from Sapporo Station, and since I was taking the JR train to return to Asahikawa, it was convenient to be close to the station. The restaurant was located in a huge building, showcasing popular dishes outside. Inside, there were separate sections for Sawaya and Meat Daruma, both part of the same group. I was guided to a private room, and upon arrival, I was told that photography was not allowed for the day. We ordered a variety of delicious dishes recommended by the staff, and I also had a chance to try some local Hokkaido sake during the all-you-can-drink session. The food was beautifully presented, with a staircase-like arrangement of sashimi and a generous platter of ham and salami. The experience was enjoyable, and I even made a short video to capture the fun moments.

All-you-can-drink for 120 minutes for 880 yen, without beer. On Fridays, Saturdays, and the day before holidays, it's an additional 550 yen. There is also a 550 yen table charge and a requirement to order at least 2 items per person. I chose this place because I wanted to drink in a private room near Sapporo Station. It's not as cheap as I thought ^^; It's located in the basement of Asty. The restroom is outside the restaurant. It seems to be a place for young people. I thought as long as we can chat, it's fine, but the menu is extensive and the food was delicious. It was better than I expected (・∀・)

Located right near Sapporo Station, in the basement of the Asti 45 building, is Irodoriya Saya, a restaurant where you can dine in peace in private rooms. They open at 4pm on weekdays, so I hurried over as soon as I arrived in Sapporo. I decided to have a solo drink and started with the standard all-you-can-drink option, enjoying a Sapporo Classic beer. It was fantastic, really capturing the essence of Hokkaido. The two dishes I had been eyeing on Instagram were as follows: 1. Hearty Hokkai Chirashi Sushi Bowl with Plenty of Ikura - 3,299 yen Topped with tuna, salmon, scallops, and octopus, this chirashi bowl is generously covered in ikura. The vinegared rice was fluffy and delicious. It's recommended to make a reservation, but since I was dining alone, they adjusted the portion for me. 2. Luxurious 6-Kind Sashimi Platter - 2,799 yen Featuring tuna, salmon, octopus, mackerel, bonito, and scallops, each piece was large and satisfying to eat. I made a reservation for Sunday at 6:00 PM and arrived at the restaurant. The atmosphere was lively, but since it has private rooms, I was able to enjoy a calm experience. There were also several families with children dining. The restaurant is non-smoking, so you can relax without worrying about smoke. We ordered the premium all-you-can-drink course (including draft beer and highball for 120 minutes) and started with a toast with draft beer. The Caesar salad with whole romaine lettuce for 1399 yen was a unique experience where you cut the lettuce yourself with a knife and fork. The dressing was delicious. The luxurious staircase sashimi platter for 2799 yen included scallops, tuna, and more beautifully arranged on a staircase. We paired this with sake. Since we were in Hokkaido, we tried the Kokushimuso sake served in a unique style, which showed their hospitality. The Kitakari potato fries for 799 yen were simply deep-fried with salt, allowing us to enjoy the sweetness and crispiness of the Kitakari potatoes. For the main dish, we had the Hokkaido-style Zangi UFO fondue. It came with 8 large Zangi pieces, perfect for dipping in the generous amount of cheese provided. The portion was satisfying for 2 people, but could also be shared among 4-6 people. The Asti building near Sapporo Station is connected underground to the station, making it convenient to avoid walking in the cold. The seafood was delicious without any fishy taste, as expected from Hokkaido. The meat dishes were also amazing. This is a restaurant located in the underground of Asty 45. Using the underground passage, you can move to Sapporo Station without being exposed to rain and wind, which is a nice feature. On this day, we had a plan that included several dishes and all-you-can-drink for 3,480 yen including tax. However, the plan did not include beer, so we had to add 500 yen unexpectedly. There were about 7 or 8 dishes, mainly sashimi and hot pot. They were all moderately delicious, but in other words, there were no menus that were not delicious. The drink selection is abundant, so it might be nice to go with a female companion. It was a fun night with an old acquaintance, so I think choosing this restaurant was a good decision.

Today, two middle-aged men were spotted in the Satsueki area. They met up with a friend they hadn't seen in three years due to the pandemic and shared some drinks. The menu seemed to offer dishes with good portions, but the prices were a bit high. It seemed more suitable for a larger group gathering. They ordered Herb Chicken Grill, a platter of prosciutto and salami, a whole Romaine lettuce Caesar salad, and seared ray fin. They started with a beer toast to quench their thirst after work, then switched to shochu on the rocks. The Caesar salad was quite substantial, a good choice for the vegetable-deprived middle-aged men. They enjoyed the Herb Chicken Grill and the platter of prosciutto and salami with their shochu. It was a satisfying meal.

Late at night, I visited Ayaya Sapporo Station Front Store. Located at Asty 45 B1F, it's accessible from Sapporo Station via an underground passage, making it convenient regardless of rain or snow. I just discovered that this popular restaurant is bustling with customers even at this late hour. Some customers are lively and want to have a good time, while others like me prefer to enjoy some quiet time alone. It's great that all seats are private rooms in this day and age. For the first drink, I had a Sapporo SORACHI1984 beer. I'm not very knowledgeable about beer, but I always remember the refreshing taste of Sorachi Ace. Most dishes are meant for two people, and the prices are also based on servings for two. The Tofu and Homemade Black Sesame Sauce Ramen Salad costs 1,099 yen. The Ramen Salad, said to have originated in Hokkaido, is occasionally seen in izakayas in Tokyo and Kanagawa. But of course, you'd want to try it in its birthplace. The dish is presented with noodles and salad on a flat plate, with tofu on the side. It's a style of mixing noodles with homemade black sesame sauce. The salad portion is generous, with no chashu or menma, but topped with tofu. Next, I had the Large Beef Brisket Sushi with Wasabi Soy Sauce on the side for 2,099 yen. Since it's the second round, I opted for sushi. The staff uses a gas burner to torch the sushi before serving. It's delicious as is, but even better when eaten with the soy sauce-marinated wasabi. Lastly, I tried the Lamb Loin Jingisukan with Cheese Fondue for 2,899 yen. I don't usually go for visually appealing dishes, but sometimes I feel like trying them. It's a sukiyaki dish with lamb loin, vegetables, and mushrooms cooked in a broth. The sukiyaki is surrounded by cheese fondue, which melts and combines with the sukiyaki when heated. I started by enjoying the lamb loin, which was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Then, I savored the cheese fondue with two types of cheese, both delicious. After the beer, I had a Lemon Sour. Lemon sour has always been a safe choice for me since I was young. The lemon sour here was also delicious. The meal ended with the Ribeye Steak for 2,599 yen. Despite the quiet surroundings of the building and corridors, the area is bustling with activity. At a glance, the shop seems to be fully occupied and popular among a younger clientele. I was guided to a private room with partitions. I asked for recommendations and placed my order: - Various beers - Luxurious staircase sashimi platter - Lamb loin Genghis Khan cheese fondue (for two) - Large-sized wagyu brisket sushi with mountain wasabi soy sauce - Hokkaido wagyu triangle brisket steak - Homemade catarana dessert Impressions: I started with a Sapporo SORACHI1983 draft beer for a toast! It was a delicious beer with a refreshing hop aroma. The sashimi platter looked luxurious and tasted great with the drinks. Located on B1 floor of Asty 45, it's conveniently close to Sapporo Station. I arrived right at the opening time on Sunday at 4pm, so there were no other customers yet. I was seated in a private room, as all rooms are private for COVID-19 measures. The Big Beef Brisket Sushi with Wasabi Soy Sauce was impressive, especially when it was seared in front of me with a burner. The Camembert Cheese Fry was delicious with the melted cheese and blueberry sauce. The Whole Romaine Lettuce Caesar Salad was visually stunning with a whole lettuce. The Grilled Atka Mackerel was a must-try in Hokkaido, and it didn't disappoint. The Cold Tofu was a simple and gentle flavor that I appreciated after a series of drinking. There are various menu options at Iroha today. We went there for a casual work after-party and were able to reserve a private room. The location is convenient at Asty. We started with a toast with highballs and Solachi beer. My companion was delighted as not many places offer Solachi beer. We ordered a Quattro pizza, a 5-tier sashimi platter, and roasted duck. The pizza with four cheeses and honey drizzle was easy to eat and was served quickly. The sashimi platter was extravagant and the duck meat was delicious despite the shortage of foie gras due to the current situation in Ukraine. We ended the meal with matcha ice cream. The private room allowed us to have work discussions without any worries, and the staff were friendly. It was a great restaurant experience.

The turnover of shops seems to be high at Asti 45, possibly due to the impact of the coronavirus. This place used to be an izakaya, but it has been renovated into its current form. Tables with bottled beers were lined up at the entrance. I was invited by a reviewer and made a reservation to visit. The interior of the restaurant has a calming atmosphere with brown furnishings. Most of the seating is in private rooms, with some exceptions. The private room we were initially shown was small, suitable for two people, so we asked to be moved to a larger table. **All-you-can-drink** - Sorachi Draft Beer Craft beer with a vanilla-like flavor and excellent aroma. Delicious. - Barley Shochu Soda - Kakuhai Highball **Luxurious Staircase Sashimi Platter** We ordered this menu first. When we placed the order, we were informed that due to procurement reasons, the 6 types of sashimi listed were reduced to 5 for the day. The sashimi platter was presented on a wooden spiral staircase. It included salmon, red meat, octopus, mackerel, and scallops. Each piece was garnished with wakame seaweed. **Grilled Lamb Chops** We also ordered this menu first. We waited for about 45 minutes until it was served. Unfortunately, it was overcooked. Lamb should not be cooked this much as it affects the taste. **Large Wagyu Brisket Sushi with Wasabi Soy Sauce** Thinly sliced brisket on top of sushi rice. The brisket was delicious, with a sweet fat content and a fine, moist texture. It was served with a burner at the table, and we requested it to be cooked rare. **Lamb Loin Jingisukan with Cheese Fondue** Cook the raw lamb loin meat and vegetables in a light broth in the center of the pot. Once cooked, dip it in the Jingisukan sauce. There were natural cheese and cheddar cheese around the edge of the pot, which melted into a creamy consistency. Dip the cooked lamb meat into the melted cheese for a unique experience. **Hearty Bukkake - Hokkai Chirashi Wooden Sushi** The menu mentioned pouring ikura (salmon roe) and snow crab on top of 5 types of seafood. However, the snow crab was sold out for the day. The wooden sushi box contained vinegar rice topped with tuna, salmon, scallops, and octopus. The ikura was brought separately and poured generously on top at the table. **Catalana** A custard dessert with a strong custard flavor. I suspected it was homemade, and upon checking before leaving, it was indeed homemade. **Tiramisu** There is a variety of both Japanese and Western menus to choose from, making the dining experience enjoyable. Many dishes are prepared and finished in front of you, adding to the excitement.

Considering that this time I prioritized location and the availability of private rooms, it's not bad if you think about it that way. Asti opened on May 1st. I ordered the extravagant Hokkai Masu Sushi (3300 yen) that I saw on their website. The staff poured crab and ikura over the rice and toppings, creating a fun overflowing effect. It may not look very appealing, but it's entertaining. The Lamb Loin Jingisukan Cheese Fondue (2900 yen) is a bold dish where you can enjoy both Jingisukan and cheese fondue in one pot. It's best to eat it before the two types of cheese fully melt.

We used a 4-person private room for just 2 of us. First up, BEER... poured with fine bubbles and at the perfect temperature, it was a delicious BEER. The first course was an assorted appetizer platter featuring "fresh octopus, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and cherry tomatoes," "German prosciutto," and "quail eggs" among others. The moist and round salty prosciutto was delicious, and the portion size was satisfying. The "Salmon Carpaccio" was served in a large portion for two, garnished with sliced onions, red peppers, and lemon, creating a refreshing and clean taste, perfect with white wine. The "Parmigiano-Reggiano Caesar Salad" was a rich and flavorful salad with ingredients like "Sunny lettuce, sliced onions, carrots, cherry tomatoes," etc. The "Gorgonzola Gnocchi" was brought to the table and flambéed with a burner, cooked to a recommended "firm" level, offering a mild blue cheese flavor that might be too subtle for some but enjoyable for others. The "Potato Fries" were small wedges of potatoes with the skin on, served with Raclette cheese, a calorie-conscious choice for those with a bulging belly but irresistibly delicious. The "Herb Grilled Chicken" was cooked with herb salt, resulting in a crispy exterior and juicy interior, slightly salty and perfect for accompanying drinks. We opted for the 3,450 yen course which included a 120-minute all-you-can-drink option (last order at 120 minutes) and a 150-minute seating time, making it a customer-friendly experience. Both drinks and food were served smoothly, allowing for a stress-free dining experience.
