The Senbei shop "Nisshun-do" has unique shaped senbei that I have purchased as souvenirs before. While at the store, I also found some candy that wasn't cute like Kintaro Ame, but it was Papa Bubble candy. The small cut pieces were nice, so I decided to try one.

I found these adorable snacks from Higashinunodo that are perfect as souvenirs from Hakata! The Niwase Senbei with cute character designs like Keroppi, Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Pompompurin are not only fun to eat with their cute masks, but also delicious. I immediately decided to get them as gifts for my friends and they were all delighted with the individual packaging. So cute and tasty!

I had some time so I wandered around Hakata Station. It was just past 9 o'clock on the weekend, so it wasn't too crowded, but I was grateful that some souvenir shops were already open. I looked around and found some funny snacks, so I bought them for my kids.

This rice cracker is famous in Fukuoka, even featured in commercials. There were various types like Sanrio and Doraemon, so it was hard to choose, but I ended up buying the classic version. My kids didn't react as excitedly as I had hoped, but they enjoyed eating it and said it was delicious. I want to try a different type next time. Thank you for the meal.

In Fukuoka, there is a familiar snack called "Niwaka Senbei." There was news about Slime appearing, and right after that, it was sold out here too. The package is cute. I bought it because it was displayed in the store. The shape is like Slime. So nostalgic!! The taste is just like the traditional senbei, nothing has changed (lol). The difference is that you can make a Slime mask. It seems like young children would be delighted.

This is a review of the "Slime Niwakasenpei" sold by Shinonome Hall as part of the real souvenir project for Dragon Quest Walk. I obtained it at the Mainingu store before leaving Kyushu. I have 8 souvenirs left to collect in the Kyushu area. The Niwaka mask slime-themed senbei is a reward for clearing the PayPay Dome quest. I first completed the collection on my own in the local Kinki region, but compared to Kinki, Kyushu is incredibly challenging when it comes to collecting souvenirs. As for the senbei, it is carefully made by hand and has a satisfying crunch. It is quite delicious and was well received by my acquaintances. The box is also cute, especially the back side.

Looking for souvenirs at Hakata Station? Niwase Senpei Honpo Tokiwa-Do is a famous shop known for its humorous 20-layer senbei. These senbei are shaped like Hakata Niwaka, a traditional local performing art loved by the common people of Hakata. Made with plenty of wheat flour and eggs, they are baked to a crispy finish. The texture is crunchy and the flavor of the eggs is delightful. They come in three sizes: extra-large, medium, and small. I purchased a pack of 3x3 (432 yen) at the Hakata Station Ming store, and the individually wrapped packaging is convenient. If you prefer something sweet, they also have cream-filled senbei.
