I ordered the weekday-only service lunch set (800 yen) at "Lames" near Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Station in Chikushino City. I chose the Keema curry over the Vegetable curry. I asked for the spiciness to be in the middle of the 5 levels, and I also ordered a hot chai as my drink. The foreign staff member's service was excellent. However, the mini salad seemed to have some color deterioration, probably prepared the day before. The Keema curry had the expected taste and spiciness level, with a hint of mildness. The plain naan came in the same large size for the free refill, which surprised me. It took me 40 minutes, but I managed to finish the meal. Overall, it was decently tasty for the price.

Today, I was walking from Fukuoka's Futamata to Dazaifu, and I noticed a delicious curry smell near the east exit of Nishitetsu Futamata Station. It was only 9 am at that time, so they were still preparing. When I returned around lunchtime, there was a long line at Kobayashi Curry in front of JR Futamata Station. I decided to try the restaurant that caught my attention in the morning, called Ramesu. It's a small place on the way from the prefectural road to the east exit of Nishitetsu Futamata Station, but it has a decent amount of seating, including a counter for solo diners. The staff seemed to be Nepalese, and the menu had a good variety of options. Since it was a holiday, there was no special lunch set, so I went for the cheapest option - the Chicken Tikka set with a choice of rice or naan. I chose naan and Chicken Curry, which could be selected from four different levels of spiciness. I went for medium spiciness, which turned out to be quite hot. I also ordered a plain lassi. The set cost 890 yen (excluding tax). First, I was served a vegetable salad and lassi. The salad was shredded cabbage with a mild dressing. The curry arrived next, along with a surprisingly large naan. The curry was thick and the chicken pieces were tender. The Chicken Tikka was boneless and had a good amount of spices. The lassi was rich and delicious. Overall, Ramesu in the Futamata area is a nice curry restaurant, competing with other well-known curry places in the area. I hope they continue to do well. Thank you for the meal!

I can't explain about Indian curry completely, but I feel like the taste is similar no matter which restaurant I go to. When it comes to Indian curry restaurants, you don't have to trust the comments too much. I visited a restaurant in Fukutsu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, near Nishitetsu Train Nishimachi Station, where there is no parking lot. Inside the restaurant, there were two staff members in the kitchen, one male customer, and one male floor staff member. The staff member had dark skin and surprisingly clean teeth. I ordered the Chicken Cheese Curry lunch set for 880 yen with spiciness level set to "very spicy", and a cola as my drink. The curry had a thick texture and the cheese blended well with it. The spiciness was tolerable and I didn't sweat much. After finishing the meal, I found the cola to be very delicious. The price was a bit high at 950 yen, so I thought it would be better if it was priced at 780 yen.

My mother recommended a curry restaurant with no parking, so we parked at Aeon Niigata and walked about 10 minutes. Inside, there was a baby of one of the staff. I tried the honey butter naan recommended by my mother. The naan was fluffy and sweet with plenty of honey, which was delicious. Surprisingly, the sweet naan went well with the curry. The curry and lassi were both delicious, and I left feeling satisfied.

After finishing my errands near Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Station, I felt a little hungry so I decided to have a light dinner at this place I found near the station. I chose the Service Dinner Set (780 yen excluding tax) which includes a choice of Keema or Vegetable curry, Plain Naan or Rice, and a salad. I chose Keema with normal spiciness and Naan, and was also offered a drink, so I decided to try the Plain Lassi (+200 yen). The Lassi was delicious. The dinner set arrived on a silver tray, with a large piece of Naan. The salad had an orange dressing which was homemade, with no coloring, fragrance, or additives. It was thick and flavorful, making the salad very enjoyable. The Keema had more liquid than I expected, and the spiciness was just right for me. The Naan was too much for me to finish, so I was able to take the rest home. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Thank you!

I have used this place for lunch many times, but today was my first time having dinner here. Since my wallet was a bit light, I called ahead to confirm the prices. I was told that the curry set with salad and naan would be 780 yen plus tax. This was well within my budget. I ordered the spicy chicken curry set. The naan was bigger than at other places and made a big impression. The curry was spicy but had a strong sweetness (maybe from onions) and was delicious. I couldn't resist getting another serving of the giant naan. It's cheaper during lunch, but I would still like to come back here for both lunch and dinner in the future. On a side note, be careful when getting a refill on the naan, it's really hot!

Freshly made naan with a nice texture. Even the mild dishes are spicy. Next time, I'll try the sweet option. The mango lassi is also delicious. The staff are friendly. The only downside is that there is no parking, so you have to park at the nearby place for 400 yen per hour.

This is an authentic curry restaurant run by Nepalese people. I added a Cheese Naan set with a Lassi drink for an extra 200 yen on the evening menu. The Cheese Naan set costs 1200 yen at night. The total bill came to around 1500 yen including tax. It is definitely a popular place, especially among foreign visitors. It seems like there are many international students visiting Japan. The communication is done in Japanese, which is the common language. The taste is authentic. The Cheese Naan is filled with plenty of cheese and has a satisfying texture. It's a bit sweet though. Making the curry extra spicy was the right choice. However, the spiciness here is not too intense. Chicken curry is always the best. The Lassi is delicious.

I went to eat Nepalese food. I tried the basic Dal Bhat and Sukuti. By default, it comes with Japanese rice, but I added an extra charge (around ¥300 or ¥350) for Basmati rice. The Dal Bhat here is the minimum set, with rice, bean curry, salad, and achar (pickled radish). The portion of rice is generous. The pickled radish is refillable. The Dal is thick and flavorful. The Basmati rice has a strong aroma. The Sukuti I ordered was basically dried meat stir-fried. It has a smoked flavor and is quite tough to chew. It's best enjoyed as a drinking snack. The restaurant seems popular, with customers often ordering takeout or coming in groups. They have a visible handwashing area for eating with hands. I hope they expand their Nepalese vegetable menu as the Basmati rice is delicious. I also visited Ramesh, a Nepalese cuisine restaurant near Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Station. It's officially an Indian restaurant. Due to an accident, I ended up ordering from the Indian menu on my first visit as the Nepalese menu was not available. However, later I saw the Nepalese menu hidden behind another customer's order. Here's what I ordered (prices exclude tax): Cheese Naan Set ¥1280 - includes a curry of choice (I chose the Spicy Mutton Masala Curry), salad, and cheese naan. The cheese naan was crispy on the outside and had a sweet syrupy cheese filling, which might not be to everyone's liking. The mutton masala curry was more like sautéed onions with mutton, low on liquid, and quite sweet due to the high oil content. The combo of sweet cheese naan and sweet curry was not a good match. Seekh Kebab (2 pieces) ¥550 - I ordered the minimum of 2 pieces of a unique mutton and chicken mince kebab. It was spicy and tasty, although the portion was unexpectedly large. Chai ¥200 - hot tea served in a generous cup, with sugar to add as per taste. The milk was not too thick, which I liked. The restaurant served large portions, and my menu choice was not the best, so I'm reserving my rating until my next visit.

"Lunch set, 640 yen" Salad, naan, and daily curry included. Wow, that's cheap, isn't it? What!? Free naan refill too! I love refills and touches, who doesn't? So, without noticing the small "tax excluded" text, I entered the restaurant. Inside, there were four Indian people. All foreigners, welcoming us. We ordered the "lunch set, 640 yen" with a drink for 690 yen. The drink is 50 yen! Initially, it seemed cheap, but after realizing the tax, it was around 750 yen. The average set price in India or Nepal, right? My wife ordered the "cheese naan set, 1080 yen" (tax excluded) which came with 4 cheese naans, tandoori chicken, salad, and a drink. We started with the salad, which had curry-flavored dressing. For the curry, I chose keema curry while my wife chose chicken curry, both with a spicy level of hot. The chicken and keema tasted similar, is there an unwritten agreement in Indian/Nepalese restaurants? The cheese naan was sweet at first but became too sweet halfway through. My wife couldn't finish hers, so I had to eat the remaining half reluctantly. Overall, a satisfying meal. Thank you.

On February 13, 2015, I got off at Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Station East Exit and found a newly opened Indian restaurant. I finished my errands and decided to have lunch there. Luckily, the lunch set was only 500 yen until that day. Even after the opening, lunch sets start from 690 yen, and you can have free refills of naan bread. I chose the chicken curry and asked for it to be spicy. The staff warned me, "It's spicy. Are you sure?" but when I tried it, it wasn't that spicy. Indian and Sri Lankan curries aren't usually very spicy, unlike Thai curries. The curry felt somewhat similar to Japanese curry. The shredded ginger topping was a nice touch. The naan bread at this restaurant was particularly delicious. I've tried many Indian curry restaurants before, and this one's naan bread could easily rank in the top 3. Although it wasn't listed on the menu, a salad was also included. I ordered a lassi drink, which was rich and tasty. The lunch set during the opening campaign didn't include free naan refills, but some male students who arrived earlier asked for extra naan despite the additional charge. In the end, they were given some for free at the checkout. When I asked for a flyer to post on Tabelog (a Japanese restaurant review website), the owner kindly went to get one from the storage outside. The owner's hospitality was very pleasant.
