Just outside the southeast exit, near the entrance of LUMINE2, there is a waffle shop that becomes popular in the summer with their Belgian chocolate soft serve. Despite the heat of the sun, it's a perfect treat to enjoy. A medium size cone costs 310 yen. The chocolate soft serve, with over 70% cocoa content, is rich and has a bitter flavor. The waffle cone is crispy and light, making it easy to devour.

I visited the shop in the evening on a weekday and there were a few people in line. Although the shop mainly focuses on Belgian waffles, I was craving for some dark chocolate soft serve, so I stopped by after finishing my errands in Shinjuku. The "Belgian Chocolate Soft Serve" is made with 70.4% cocoa. Compared to a certain famous chocolatier's soft serve, it had a slightly refreshing taste. The medium size waffle cone (they offer M and L sizes) costs 310 yen, which I found to be a good value. They also have a menu where you can top the chocolate soft serve with a waffle, but since it was before dinner, I decided to try it next time.

For about 5 years, I had been wanting to try this soft serve ice cream but never had the chance. Finally, the day came when I could try it. I got the chocolate soft serve ice cream that I had been dreaming of. The best part was that I could choose the size - M size for 310 yen and L size for 410 yen including tax. It was definitely worth the price, so I went for the L size. When it arrived, it looked more like an M size to me, haha. The chocolate soft serve was made with 70% cocoa and was rich and delicious. Even the chocolate cone was tasty!

I visited Mr. Waffle Lumine Shinjuku store on the 1st floor of Lumine 2 in Shinjuku. After enjoying Lumine the Yoshimoto, I decided to stop by here for some waffles. I got 2 plain, 2 chocolate chip, and 2 almond waffles to go. Sometimes you just crave waffles, right?

Every time I pass by here, there's always a great smell. I feel like I end up buying a waffle every time I'm here. They have quite a variety of limited-time flavors, so it's always exciting! When they warm it up, the waffle is crispy on the outside and soft inside - delicious! I also love their waffle parfait. The chocolate soft serve is incredibly rich, like something you'd find at a specialty chocolate shop. The combination of warm (waffle) and cold (ice cream) is unbeatable. If they had a sit-in space, that would be great...

A shop that serves Belgian waffles and soft serve ice cream, located near the southeast exit of Shinjuku Station. While Belgian chocolate and waffles are not uncommon, this shop is perfect for when you occasionally crave them. The soft serve ice cream I had this time was rich, with a balanced bitterness and not overly sweet. It was delicious. The price is also reasonable, around 400 yen, making it a great dessert option after a hearty lunch in Shinjuku.

The next day after purchasing, I toasted them until crispy. Chestnut, maple, Earl Grey. The maple one got a bit burnt, but... Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, with a very good flavor. Why didn't I eat this before? I want to try it again when seasonal limited flavors come out.

While exploring the area around Shinjuku Station, I felt like having something cold on a hot and humid day. I remembered seeing a place that served chocolate soft serve, so I decided to stop by. It's a waffle shop located right near the southeast entrance of Shinjuku Station, just before entering Lumine Shinjuku 2. There was a bit of a line on some days, but this time there were only two customers ahead of me, so I quickly made my purchase. You can choose between medium and large soft serve in a cup or cone (extra charge for the cone), and since it was after lunch, I opted for a medium cone. They also offer sets with waffles, but I just wanted the soft serve. Even the medium size had plenty of soft serve inside, so I was satisfied. The rich chocolate soft serve had a great flavor and was quite satisfying. If you're looking for a quick and delicious ice cream treat near Shinjuku Station, I recommend this place.

I used to think that this shop would quickly close down considering the rent, but it has been operating for quite a long time. Whenever I pass by, I end up buying something. Their sweets are not too sweet, and the size and price are perfect for souvenirs. On this day, I bought some as souvenirs for my children. They regularly change their limited-time products, so customers never get bored. On this particular day, I bought chocolate and a limited edition mugwort and red bean pastry. When warmed in the toaster, the surface becomes crispy, and the aroma that wafts up is delightful. I only had a small bite, but I really liked the mugwort and red bean flavor. Since it was a limited-time offer, I wonder when I will be able to try it again. I'll check it out next time I'm nearby.

There is a small waffle shop right outside the south exit of Shinjuku Station. The shop always smells amazing as you pass by. I usually buy some to take home and warm them up in the toaster before eating. I was planning to buy plain and chocolate chip waffles, but as I was taking a photo of the shop, someone cut in line and bought almost all of them. I had to wait 10-15 minutes for the waffles to be ready, so I ended up buying the almond and maple ones that were left. It was my first time trying the almond flavor, and I loved the crunchy texture from the finely crushed almonds inside! The shop provides instructions on how to warm them up at home, but if you wait a bit after toasting, the outside becomes crispy like freshly baked. The combination of crispy outside and moist inside waffles is simply irresistible.

The other day, after finishing a bread tour in Shinjuku, I was about to get on the train when I noticed a sweet smell wafting through the air. I saw a waffle shop near the exit of LUMINE2. It reminded me of the feeling of Osaka's Manneken and I felt nostalgic. So, I decided to buy one for my snack the next day. Plain 170 yen, Earl Grey 180 yen. The takeout paper bag is cute too! They even included a paper on how to warm it up for a delicious experience. It's generously buttered. I warmed it up in the toaster, so the outside is crispy, and the inside is soft and moist, very tasty. Especially the Earl Grey flavor has a strong aroma, I might like this more than the plain one. It seems they also have a shop in Omiya, so next time I want to try a different flavor.

It was 6:00 pm on a weekday. There was no line, it was empty. It's nice that there are various flavors available. The waffles were good. They tasted pretty much the same no matter where you eat them. The unique feature here is that they are a bit moist. The size is also normal. Everything is average, but I would like to go again.

On Tuesday around 6pm, I'm definitely a fan of Manneken waffles, but they don't have it in Shinjuku, and I just really, really wanted to eat waffles! * Plain 170 yen * Cinnamon 180 yen Total 350 yen! It's rare that there's no line, so I went ahead and bought it! The restaurant has a Foodlog rating of 3.15 as of July 2020!

The current limited-time flavor is Chocolate. I purchased three flavors: Chocolate, Almond, and Chocolate Chip. The photo shows the Almond flavor! You can eat them on the spot, so I enjoyed the Chocolate and Chocolate Chip when the chocolate was melting. They intentionally don't coat the chocolate inside the dough so that it melts. The Almond has roughly chopped almonds packed inside. When reheated, it becomes even crispier!

I visited the shop where my friend wanted to buy something and decided to get something too. I took it home and toasted it. The chocolate chip baked apple exceeded my expectations - it was crispy and fluffy, and really delicious! The chocolate chips were quite sweet but that sweetness was delicious! Inside, there were chocolate chips and sauce on the outside. The waffle part of the baked apple wasn't too sweet, just the right amount. The apple chunks were finely chopped, which added a nice touch. Both were delicious! I would like to try different flavors and it would also make a great gift. I definitely want to go back to this shop!

After work, I found a delicious-looking Belgian waffle shop at the entrance of Lumine Shinjuku 2. There was a line of more than 10 people, but I couldn't resist the sweet and delicious smell, so I lined up too. I bought plain (170 yen), almond (190 yen), and baked apple (190 yen) waffles. When I reheated them in the oven at home and ate them, they were incredibly delicious!! It was different from the Belgian waffles I knew. I had imagined them to be more dry and crumbly, but they were moist and fluffy like pancakes. Somehow, the plain one was the most delicious, but I want to try all the other flavors too. It seems like you can also eat them warm on the spot, so I'll try that next time. Thank you for the meal.

I finally got to try the soft serve ice cream at the waffle shop in Lumine 2 that I had been curious about since I started seeing the sign in the summer. I arrived in Shinjuku around 5 PM and quickly noticed a line forming behind me with about 6 people. I purchased the Belgian chocolate soft serve in a medium size with a waffle cone (310 yen). I usually prefer cups, but since it's a waffle shop, I decided to try it in a cone. The chocolate soft serve was rich and delicious, and the waffle cone was crispy and crunchy. It was the perfect size for a snack while enjoying the evening breeze. I might come back for more.

Snack time at night. Currently during the test period, the students in our house are calling for food. It's already 9 pm and most places are closed, but luckily I was near the south exit of the station so I decided to buy some waffles. I got one plain and one Earl Grey flavor, one for the students and one for myself. Are you eating them now? No, I'm not eating both. I'll wrap them up properly and take them home. The tea is delicious. It has fine tea leaves and a balance of sweetness and bitterness, making it enjoyable even for adults. I want to pair it with vanilla ice cream, but it's too much for late night, so I'll resist today.

Located at the southeast exit of Shinjuku Station, this shop is impossible to resist with its sweet and fragrant waffle aroma. This time, I ordered the cinnamon flavor (180 yen) and the limited-time sakura flavor (190 yen). The waffle had a crispy exterior with a fluffy interior! I had only ever eaten chewy waffles from fast food restaurants before, so this was truly a special experience at a waffle specialty shop. The cinnamon flavor had a generous amount of powder on top, providing a classic taste, while the sakura flavor had cherry blossom leaves kneaded into the dough, resulting in a moister texture compared to the cinnamon. It was delicious.
