Ichiran is undeniably a nationally popular tonkotsu ramen shop, and it's no exaggeration to say that. Despite its fame, I don't often have the chance to visit, maybe due to being in Fukuoka. It's been about two years since my last visit. The soup is typical of Ichiran, with a sweet and flavorful tonkotsu broth without any unpleasant smell. Even after this long break, the taste is still outstanding. The noodles are moist and thin, and the chashu is salt-boiled pork, which was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I went to Ichiran for the first time in a while and was surprised by the price of 980 yen for a bowl of ramen! The extra noodle refill was 210 yen, which is outrageous. When I tried the ramen, I was again surprised. It wasn't bad, but I don't think I will go back to eat there again. I used to think it was delicious, but now I wonder if it was just a dream or an illusion. Maybe other ramen places have gotten too good? I always thought they were getting too cocky with their membership system and prices, and now it seems like expanding too much has affected the taste. The price and taste are completely out of balance. I wouldn't even want to eat it for 500 yen now. When we left, my friends and I were saying, "We should have just had a regular meal." I cannot recommend it to anyone. This is just my personal opinion, so please forgive me. Thank you for the meal.

It was my first time at Ichiran. I've always wanted to try it, but never had the chance until now. It's easy to come here alone, which is nice. Thank you for the meal! 🍜

I decided to try Ichiran, which I have disliked since a long time ago, because of their tactic of offering free ramen for elementary school students up to 6th grade amidst the price increase competition. When I tried it in Daimyo or Tenjin, I felt like I never need to eat this ramen again. What made me feel that way? I don't know anymore, haha. My wife, kids, and critics also went with me. The restaurant is designed so that even one person can eat comfortably. This is great for critics. The space is a bit small, but you don't feel people's eyes on you, which also helps prevent the spread of COVID-19. Actually, I went there once after a long time. At that time, I thought, "Huh? This tastes normal and delicious. What was I thinking it was bad before?" Maybe because it was my first time, I mixed in the spiciness. I still don't want to mix in that spiciness. It overwhelms the taste of the tonkotsu soup and reduces the deliciousness by half. What's so delicious about that spiciness? It's still not clear. The critic's favorite is bari-kata (firm noodles) and rich tonkotsu. This seems like something the critic would like! I ordered my preferred taste on the order form. The critic likes the richness, normal thickness, half a clove of garlic, green onions, with chashu, no secret sauce, and extra firm noodles. Will it turn out to be the critic's favorite ramen? It's good that you can choose the richness of the tonkotsu and the firmness of the noodles based on your condition that day. However! Not adding the secret sauce and having to lift the bowl to add it later, which is appreciated by the critic who wants to add it later, is it necessary to lift the bowl in front of the customer in this time of COVID-19? And the number of toilet papers! As soon as I opened it, it was gross, haha. Well, but there's no sin in delicious ramen.

It's still the same as before. I never thought Ichiran ramen was delicious, but after not eating it for decades, I forgot, so I decided to check by going in. The ordering method is still the same as before. Probably the taste is also the same as before. The price and taste did not suit me. Maybe in another few decades.

I went to pray for my child's success and on the way back, there were too many shops along the approach, so I came here instead! Well, there were still a lot of shops here and I had to wait quite a bit, but... I wanted to say "my usual Ichiran!" but the soup was clearly thinner than usual... I usually order in the usual way, but it turned out to be a disappointing bowl. Chain restaurants have their own taste, so if they dilute it, it will be criticized immediately. For you, it may be just one bowl among many, but for us, it is an important bowl, you know...

I drove all the way to Ichiran! It was a long journey from Nagasaki, but many people around me also travel just for Ichiran. It is a representative ramen shop in Kyushu. For the first bowl, I ordered it normally, but with extra garlic and the secret sauce, and the noodles were firm. This is the true Ichiran! It was delicious. I fell in love with ramen and started exploring different ramen shops because of this place. However, I made a mistake with the second bowl by adding too many toppings, which deviated from the original taste. I learned that the basic flavor is the best for me when it comes to ramen.

Renowned Ichiran! Oh, you haven't been there before, have you? So, I went to the Dazaifu branch! It was Sunday at 11:30 am and there were still parking spaces available. I waited for a few minutes and then entered smoothly. The seating was only at the counter, with partitions in place (which is good for COVID-19 measures) and papers were provided. You could indicate your preferences for soup richness, thickness, noodle firmness, and toppings. The staff were polite. The partitions between seats made it feel like you were in your own little world. The ramen arrived, priced at 890 yen. The balance between the soup and noodles was indescribably good, appealing to a variety of tastes. The chashu was well-considered and meticulously prepared, showing great attention to detail. It was a delightful meal.

It's been a while since I visited Ichiran, and it seems like a few things have changed. First surprise was the price - a bowl of ramen costs 890 yen! And an extra serving of noodles is 210 yen! Ichiran's portions are usually small, so you might need the extra noodles, but it's expensive! I visited at 1am and ended up spending a lot. The ramen itself was just okay. The soup was lukewarm, and the noodles seemed a bit thicker than before, with maybe a bit more flavor. But still, it's too pricey. It's quite bold to have ramen over 1000 yen in Fukuoka, right? I probably won't be going back for a while. Thank you for the meal.

I don't usually indulge in late-night luxuries, but I can't resist the temptation of a yearly treat. The rich and delicious taste keeps me coming back for more. I love thin noodles, and Ichiran's thin noodles are my favorite because they are not too strong in flavor. The red secret sauce adds a deep flavor to the dish. I enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant, the order form, the private dining experience, and the sound of the ramen flute. I don't usually get extra noodles, but having the option for a half serving is greatly appreciated. I really want to go back soon.

I saw Hiroshi Tamura and Masaki Suda eating at Ichiran on TV, so I couldn't help but go. It's been a while since I had Ichiran. My favorite is: strong flavor, super rich, with white onions, with chashu, without the secret sauce, very firm noodles. Lately, I realized that the secret sauce doesn't really suit me. It's delicious even without it! In fact, I think it's better without it, to be honest. I used to eat it with the secret sauce like 10 times before. This place has a spacious parking lot, which is great! ✨

I wandered around Dazaifu area like a blue bullet. I felt like eating ramen, so I went to Ichiran. I wasn't sure if the acidity in the Oskaran ramen was from black vinegar, but I decided to pass on it this time. Since it had been a while since I last visited, I found a new menu item, the simmered pork belly plate, and ordered it. It was a bit different from what I expected, but I mixed it with the rice and dug in. It was just okay haha. I like Ichiran's soup and noodles ✨ Even though I usually don't like tonkotsu ramen, I like Ichiran haha. I also felt like eating char siu and gyoza.

I love ramen here so much that I always end up thinking about it as the standard. I prefer strong flavor, super thick broth, firm noodles, white negi, medium spiciness with extra garlic. This combination is the best for me. It was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Once in a while it's good, but Ramen Nagi is still expensive. The taste is decent, not bad enough to hate it, but considering the price, I don't feel like eating it often. It's been a while since I last went to Ramen Nagi, and during that time, I think many new restaurants have opened and I've met many people, which might be why I feel this way. I don't dislike Ramen Nagi. I wonder when I'll go there next.

A year later, my daughter wanted to visit Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine to pray for her son's success in the university entrance exam (he passed and is now a college student this spring). After exploring the shrine, they decided to come here. Yes, they wanted to eat ramen here for their success prayer (laughs). It's a solo dining style here. They bought tickets from the machine outside, didn't interact with the kitchen staff, and enjoyed their own little world (laughs). But it felt good. There are famous shops for a reason. The ramen was delicious... Thank you for the meal.

The taste of Ichiran is consistently good. The soup is delicious and makes you want to drink it all up. The extra noodles came quickly and were tasty. It's nice that they always provide tissues.

I was feeling a bit hungry, so I had Ichiran ramen. I'm already used to the taste, so it's not about whether it's delicious or not, but more like "Oh, this is the taste of Ichiran."
