Wind God Thunder God RA-MEN @ UNIVERSAL CITYWALK OSAKA Wind God Thunder God Ramen ¥900 Early summer vacation for Uncle at USJ. This ramen shop is the only one near USJ where you can slurp up a valuable bowl of ramen. A sister shop of the long-established ramen shop "Kotan" in Osaka. Located on the 5th floor of Universal Citywalk Osaka just before USJ, with a flashy facade welcoming Wind God and Thunder God. The interior is mainly bustling with families at the table seats. There are also children's menus such as fried rice set and gyoza set, making it suitable for families. There's even ramen with takoyaki on top...lol. I arrived for my first visit just after 1 pm, and the interior was almost full. The operation was solid with a quick serving time. The soup is a rich soy sauce-based tonkotsu with a nice thickness and fine pork back fat floating on top. It's a delicious soup with a fresh tonkotsu flavor that keeps you coming back for more. The noodles, which I thought were thin, turned out to be medium-thick with a firm bite and a strong wheat flavor, almost like straight noodles. They were delicious! The slurping was smooth and delightful. There's plenty of bean sprouts, and the chashu and flavored egg were of good quality. I was surprised, as I didn't expect to find such authentic ramen in a chain restaurant in this location. I would like to try the original "Kotan" next time. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!!!

I used to come to this restaurant when I was little, but this is my first time coming as an adult. The thickness of the noodles goes well with the broth, but the moyashi ramen was just average. I felt like the gyoza was missing something else. Probably because it's always crowded with tourists and people even at night (it's near Universal Studios), I understand that the staff must be very busy, but they seemed a bit low on energy. Keep up the good work with your business!

Title as it is, there is no Universal Studios correction at all, and it's actually a real issue, you know. When you have to have lunch here. In that case, it's possible to have normal ramen and other options like gacha gacha, and that's how I ended up at a ramen shop. In conclusion, it's totally okay, and there was some dedication to the thickness of the noodles. Rather, it's kind of sad to be thought of as targeting Universal Studios customers. It's delicious, but as a ramen fan, I have to talk about chemical seasonings, but I think they are used heavily. However, it's delicious. That's the feeling. The price is cheap, so it's a good idea to have a meal before entering the park. Just for your reference~

Just near Universal Studios Japan, in Universal City, there is a ramen restaurant. While there are many dining options in Universal City, this is the only ramen specialty shop in the area. Menu (tax included): Fushin Raijin Ramen - Soy Sauce 990 yen, Miso 1030 yen, Chashu Men - Soy Sauce 1155 yen, Miso 1191 yen, Kimchi Ramen - Soy Sauce 1024 yen, Miso 1064 yen, and more. Ramen, Fried Rice Set - Soy Sauce 1210 yen, Miso 1250 yen. Ramen, Tianjin Rice Set - Soy Sauce 1210 yen, Miso 1250 yen, etc. This time, I decided on the Tianjin Rice set after debating between the Fried Rice set and the Tianjin Rice set. Fushin Raijin Ramen Tianjin Rice Set - Soy Sauce 1210 yen. The soup has a strong soy sauce flavor with a good amount of saltiness. The pork bone taste is not very strong, making it easy for children to eat. The noodles are medium-thick and straight, lifting the soup well. I personally prefer thinner noodles for pork bone ramen. The chashu is thinly sliced with a good amount of fat and a nice length. Takoyaki Ramen is a ramen with takoyaki (octopus balls) in it. I wouldn't normally order this at a regular ramen shop, but since it's a specialty of Osaka, I decided to try it. The soup is similar to the Fushin Raijin Ramen, and the takoyaki is crispy at first but softens when soaked in the soup, giving it a different texture. Overall, the ramen has a light tonkotsu (pork bone) flavor, typical of a ramen chain restaurant, with a consistent taste. Being so close to Universal Studios Japan, the prices are higher, but it's still cheaper than eating inside the park. It's not too crowded if you go outside of peak hours, so it's convenient. The takoyaki ramen may look good for social media, but if you want to eat takoyaki, I'd recommend going to the takoyaki park downstairs.

I chose this ramen shop in CityWalk after hearing that the Osaka food here was either takoyaki or okonomiyaki, and the ramen here was recommended. When I visited on a Sunday after 7:00 PM, there were 3 groups waiting, but I was able to get in after about 10 minutes. I had the Wind God Thunder God Ramen (miso) and some gyoza!

Yesterday's dinner at USJ was at Fuujin Raijin in Universal CityWalk, where I ordered the Takoyaki Ramen set for 1,300 yen. I couldn't resist trying the Takoyaki Ramen, which seemed very Osaka-like! The soup seemed to be based on pork bone, and you could choose between soy sauce and miso flavors. I chose soy sauce, and the pork bone-based soy sauce soup was light and easy to eat. The takoyaki was also delicious. There seem to be various types available, so I'll try something different next time!

It seems like this is the only place in Universal City where you can eat ramen, so I tried it out. I had miso ramen and fried rice. I wasn't expecting much, but the ramen was surprisingly well-balanced. The soup was a light and flavorful tonkotsu broth, and the noodles had a good firmness to them. If you feel like something is missing, adding garlic spice to the soup makes it really delicious. The fried rice sounded like it was cooked well in a frying pan, and it was very tasty.

There are plenty of takoyaki stalls in Universal CityWalk, but there's only one ramen shop, which is a part of Japanese culture. It might be better to do something about this. Visitors from abroad definitely want to try ramen. There are chains in town with long lines. Here, too, there's a line, but the expectations are slightly higher due to the fancy posters. It seems like a sister store of a long-established ramen shop. Due to the location, you need to be prepared to endure the price and wait time.

I stopped by after visiting Universal Studios Japan♪ I'm A for-Real vocalist Mizuki Shoji. I was able to get in relatively quickly without waiting too long. I had the ramen and mini fried rice set for ¥1200, which is the tourist price. It was a soy sauce flavor and a bit light, but it was delicious.

I finished work early, so I decided to have my second lunch of the day at "Fujin Raijin RA-MEN" in Universal City Walk Osaka. This restaurant is affiliated with the well-known Osaka chain, Kotan. I ordered the "Chashu Ramen (Soy Sauce) for 1,270 yen" and an "Asahi Super Dry (Medium) for 600 yen". The ramen arrived quickly, topped with green onions, chashu pork, and a half-boiled seasoned egg. The soup was collagen-rich with a slightly thick texture, made from a base of pork bone and chicken broth, offering a moderate richness. The noodles were medium-thin and delicious. The atmosphere of Universal City Walk Osaka, replicating an American city, was to my liking. I would love to visit Universal Studios someday.

Yesterday, I took a break from helping out at the site and came here. It's been a long time since I last visited, maybe about 10 years. I often go to the Abeno branch and other branches in the Furutani group, but it has been a while since I visited this particular branch. The interior was different from what I remembered, but that's to be expected. I haven't had Furutani noodles in a while, so I ordered the vegetable-rich Nanamen with ankake sauce. It was delicious as always. Oh, I was supposed to be on a diet, but oh well!

I really wanted to eat tantanmen! When I'm tired from walking, I want to eat a quick meal! And above all, I love ramen haha. Tantanmen has never let me down. On this day as well, tantanmen! It has a spicy kick and the flavor of sansho pepper. The noodles are thin. The taste is light. Recommended for those who like simple and light flavors. Perhaps due to the COVID-19 situation, the staff's voices were a bit quiet. Thank you for the meal.

I used this restaurant around 8:00 PM on a weekday after visiting USJ. It seemed like many people were also coming back from USJ, as the restaurant was quite crowded. I ordered the Raijin Ramen set because I also wanted to try the gyoza. The set included miso ramen, half fried rice, and 3 pieces of gyoza. It was said to be a sister store of a famous ramen shop in Osaka. Thank you for the meal.

After playing at USJ, we ate ramen here. The place was quite crowded and there was a long line. My wife ordered the ramen fried rice set, and I ordered the spicy tantan noodles. The tantan noodles were spicy and delicious. I also tried some of the fried rice, which was also tasty.

I was walking around Umeda and on my way back to Osaka Nanko to catch the shuttle bus, I decided to return to Universal City. While looking for a place to have dinner, I found a ramen shop called "Fujin Raijin Ramen" and decided to go in. I ordered the spicy miso ramen for 913 yen and a mini Tianjin rice set for 286 yen. My companion ordered the bean sprout ramen for 880 yen but only ate about a third of it. It was a satisfying meal.

After 8 years, I visited USJ again (before the explosive spread of Omicron infection). The view of the Harry Potter area was quite nice, but I wish they could improve the flow to the attractions before getting on. Those who have ridden it before will understand, especially the area for baggage lockers. The Mario World area was also nice and has changed a lot. I splurged on ride tickets to skip the lines, but it would be impossible without them. The one-day pass is expensive, and Demon Slayer had a 300-minute wait time displayed. I waited for 4 and a half hours. When you think about it, Disneyland & DisneySea really consider the customers. I might get backlash for saying this. Now, onto the main topic - lunch. There is a ramen shop in Universal City Walk, a facility on the way from the station to USJ. There are many shops, but it was too cold due to the strong wind, so ramen was the only choice. The takoyaki shop was crowded, but I don't like takoyaki (laughs). When I entered around noon, it was empty, but when I left, it was about 80% full. It seems like a chain store, but not really? You order orally at the table and pay afterwards. The basic ramen comes with various toppings, and you can choose between soy sauce and miso. There are set meals too, but the menu is limited. They have a unique takoyaki ramen. The cheapest bean sprout ramen is 880 yen, and the expensive ramen (soy sauce) with fried rice set is 1144 yen (tax included). I confirmed that I could remove the shrimp, which I hate, and waited for over 10 minutes. The soup is warm pork bone soy sauce, with a blurred taste and warm double impact. The noodles are a chewy type. Maybe the set ramen has a small portion. There are no flavored eggs, and the fried rice is about a small bowl's worth and a bit greasy. The crunchy texture of the leeks stands out. It has a mellow taste, somewhat resembling food court ramen. In the evening, I had a hamburger at a restaurant in the same City Walk area, and it was quite delicious (laughs).

I came to Universal CityWalk for lunch, which is the closest place from my home. There are many restaurants here, so I always have trouble deciding where to go. I decided to try a ramen shop on a whim, thinking it was a Hakata ramen place. It had a similar exterior to Ichiran. I ordered the Spicy Pork Bowl Set with soy sauce flavor (850 yen) because it was a good deal. Hmm, it tasted like eating ramen at home, a bit salty. The pork bowl had a lot of sansho pepper on it, which made my tongue numb but lacked flavor, so I couldn't finish it. My tongue was numb from the spicy pork bowl, and the taste of the ramen and water felt strange. In the end, I couldn't finish either the ramen or the pork bowl.

On the second night of my Universal Studios Japan trip, I was exhausted from a full day at the park and decided to have a light ramen dinner at "Fujin Raijin". I ordered the "Spicy Tantanmen" for 920 yen. The spiciness wasn't too strong, but the flavor of star anise was prominent. This might vary depending on personal preference!

Ramen restaurant "Fujin Raijin RA-MEN" in Konohana-ku, Osaka City, near Universal City. Yes, it's on the way back from Universal Studios! Yawn, cold, tired, hungry, and suffering from pollen allergies, we followed Captain santo to this place! Of course, there is no parking lot. It's right near Universal City Station. After the parade, all the nearby restaurants were crowded. After a 10-minute wait... surprisingly fast? Maybe the staff's teamwork is good? We were seated relatively quickly. We ordered the Miso Ramen with Fried Rice set (1070 yen) and the Soy Sauce Ramen with Fried Rice and Gyoza set (1140 yen). It's a bit expensive, but oh well... (>_<) The food at Universal Studios is surprisingly pricey for us country folks! But the food here is warm and delicious. The ramen had medium-thick straight noodles and a soup that was not too thick. The chashu was thinly sliced (haha). The fried rice had a generous amount of fragrant oil, which I like, and the gyoza was filled with lots of garlic. It's convenient that they have a good turnover rate. It's also a short walk from Universal Studios, and most importantly, it was my first time visiting Universal City, so I had a great time. I've always been from a single-parent household, and whenever I went to Universal Studios, I would ride a couple of attractions and then quickly leave, only staying for about 3 hours at most. But this time, I was able to stay from opening to the parade, thanks to Captain santo. I am grateful (*^^*)

This is a sister restaurant of Kotan, which has a long history in Osaka, but I have never been to Kotan before. I visited with a friend for lunch. We were seated at the counter. My friend ordered the Fujin Ramen (soy sauce) for 850 yen, while I ordered the Raijin Ramen (miso) with 3 gyoza and half fried rice set for 1170 yen, tax included. There was also takoyaki ramen on the menu, but it seemed more like a menu for tourists, so we passed on that. The soy sauce flavor had a collagen soup base with mild soup containing back fat, and the noodles were medium-thick straight noodles with a slightly chewy texture, similar to a house-style ramen. The miso flavor had a creamy soup base with a hint of sweetness, and the noodles had some miso sauce clinging to them. There was a sprinkle of red pepper flakes at the bottom, but it wasn't very spicy. It had a bit of a Sapporo ramen vibe as well. The menu photo showed mizuna greens, but it was only green onions in the actual dish, along with corn and thinly sliced pork chashu without much fat. The gyoza was quite ordinary, similar to what you would find in a supermarket, and the fried rice was decent in flavor but the portion was on the smaller side. It might not be satisfying for those looking for a hearty meal. Personally, I found it sufficient. The taste was average, nothing outstanding, and slightly on the greasy side, like a typical ramen. The location and pricing were neither good nor bad, with a slightly touristy feel and a bit on the expensive side. If you really want to have ramen here at Universal City, this could be a good option since it's the only ramen shop we found. It was a decent experience.
