Today, I placed an online order at the Hotto Motto Mizumaki Yoshida store for an eel rice bowl and a side of napoletana pasta. Lately, being able to order online has been really convenient for picking up at just the right time. The taste was great, the eel rice bowl was delicious and reasonably priced. I also like the napoletana pasta. I will definitely order again! 😊

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought this, right? Roland would probably say, "Meat or no meat." But since Hotto Motto is holding a meat festival on their menu, I feel like trying a non-beef bento once in a while. Last time, I tried the new Kalbi Yakiniku Bento and while I personally still prefer the Beef Bento, I thought it was quite delicious (*^∀^*) This time, I tried the Large Kalbi Don! I may be young in terms of food preferences, but I absolutely love eating yakiniku. When I opened it, the kalbi was indeed large... it looked almost like a steak. I briefly thought it might be difficult to eat because of its size, but as soon as I touched it with my chopsticks, the fatty part easily separated from the meat. The meat itself was incredibly tender. It was cut with fine lines and was so soft that it practically fell apart just by touching it with chopsticks. While it's better than being tough and hard to eat, it lacked a bit of that meaty texture... The taste was similar to the pre-marinated kalbi you get at yakiniku restaurants. It was sweet and savory, with a slightly spicy taste. I enjoy the flavor, which goes well with rice, but I found the texture quite off-putting. In the end, the Beef Bento wins again! (٩(๑´0`๑)۶) But seriously, whoever came up with adding pickled ginger to the Beef Bento or this Large Kalbi Don is a genius. Even for meat lovers who dislike vegetables, pickled ginger might be something they like, right? Of course, there are many people who don't like pickled ginger, but in my case, they hit the mark (lol). The meat was so large that it was difficult to balance the pace with the rice, and at one point, I even ate rice with pickled ginger. It goes well together! 😉
