My wife loves the tomato ramen here and often comes to eat. Tomato ramen seems to be popular among women, but as a man, I prefer a hearty chashu ramen with egg topping! I also like to order a large portion of fried rice! There are plenty of vegetables in the dishes, so it's easy to eat. Personally, I wish there was garlic available on the table... I'm full now, thank you for the meal.

【Situation】I visited this restaurant for a solo family noodle lunch. Despite being located roadside, there was a long line outside. The place was packed with people working in the nearby area. During lunchtime, there are great value set menus, all of which offer delicious taste and generous portions. I chose the basic ramen set. The vegetable-packed ramen was amazing! Even though it's ramen, it should be close to zero calories. I also halved the fried rice in the set, so it's practically zero calories. I will definitely visit this local station again. I often eat tomato ramen, but this time I wanted something spicy, so I tried ordering the Miyazaki Spicy Ramen. It was spicy, but the richness of the flavor won me over. I didn't take a photo, but I always order the fried rice as well, which is delicious and highly recommended. Ordering a set is a good idea, especially on weekdays when you can get a free large portion of noodles or a size upgrade for the fried rice. The stamp card fills up quickly, adding to the value. I often pass by this restaurant and when I checked the menu, I saw that it was a chain restaurant called Gomihachi located in Shizuoka Prefecture. I thought it was the same chain, but when I visited, I was surprised to see a different menu. Later, I found out through reviews that it was a different restaurant! I also unintentionally asked the staff a rude question. I arrived around 11:30 and there was only one customer at the counter. I had my 1-year-old son with me, so we sat at a table and they provided a child seat for him. I ordered the Gomihachi Negi Ramen. As a fan of green onions, I was very satisfied. I usually eat tonkotsu ramen, but this soy sauce ramen was delicious. I opted for the free extra noodles on weekdays, and they were tasty with cabbage and carrots in them. My son, who was trying soy sauce ramen for the first time, seemed to enjoy it. I also ordered the French fries for 350 yen, which was a generous portion. They were thin fries with ketchup on the side.

The interior of the shop has a counter and table seats, quite well arranged. From the table menu... although the tempting tomato ramen caught my eye, it had been a while so I went for the basic ramen with half portion of fried rice. They mentioned that on weekdays, you can get a free large portion of fried rice, but I opted for half. The appearance of the cabbage-topped ramen gives off a stamina-boosting vibe like in Tenri, Nara. Surprisingly, it can be enjoyed with a refreshing taste. The bowl includes cabbage, chashu, pork belly, carrots, and leeks among other vegetables. The thin curly noodles are a good match. The fried rice is a moist and fluffy type. I knew about this place along the outer ring road because of its impactful name! I was searching for tomato ramen and found out they have it here. I ordered the tomato ramen without hesitation! From the kitchen, you can hear the sound of tomatoes and bok choy being stir-fried in a wok, like a Chinese restaurant. The base of the soup is probably garlic soy sauce? It has an addictive flavor and is super delicious! The bok choy is crispy but cut into small pieces, making it easy to eat, and the acidity of the tomatoes goes really well with it. There's also a bit of celery in it. I'm not a fan of celery, but it didn't overpower the taste or aroma of the ramen, so I enjoyed it! The dumplings were also delicious. They provided both vinegar soy sauce and miso sauce for dipping, so you can change up the flavor. The miso flavor wasn't very strong, but it was tasty. The person who seemed like the manager was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely come back here!

I visited Five Tastes Eight Treasures on a holiday, which I had been to a few times before. It is located along the outer ring road with a spacious parking lot, making it easy to access. The menu is simple and easy to understand. I ordered the classic ramen, the most popular tomato ramen, omurice, and gyoza. The gyoza came with miso sauce and vinegar pepper in addition to the usual dipping sauce. The gyoza itself was a bit lacking in flavor. The dipping sauce was served ice-cold, causing the gyoza to cool down quickly. As for the ramen, it lacked a punch compared to Tenri Ramen, but adding some table pepper made it more enjoyable. The tomato ramen had a delicious soup, which could be enjoyed as a tomato soup on its own. However, the noodles didn't quite mix well with the soup. The omurice was okay, but a regular fried rice would have sufficed. Overall, it was a bit disappointing, and I probably won't be returning. Thank you for the meal!

On the way back from Osaka, I visited a restaurant for the first time to cheer myself up because I couldn't stop by the Nagai store. First of all, I was surprised by how spacious both the store and the parking lot were compared to the Nagai store. Now, since this was a way to cheer myself up (lol), I went all out with my order. I ordered the standard ramen, half egg fried rice, gyoza, and karaage one after another. If I wasn't driving, I would have also ordered a beer. (^_^;) Now, about the taste. When it comes to the ramen, I feel like the soup at the Nagai store is better. I understand that the taste can change significantly depending on the harvest time of the Chinese cabbage (it's sweeter and more delicious in winter to spring), but there's something different about it. Also, since it's a ramen from Tenri, if you go to Tenri IC early enough, you can have the original and authentic Tenri ramen, so maybe they adjust the taste for that reason? The egg fried rice is delicious as always. It's cheating to put that thinly cooked and gooey omelette on top. I've made this at home many times. As for the karaage chicken wings, for someone from Nagoya... it was a bit on the overcooked side and a little tough. Overall, in terms of the atmosphere of the restaurant, the content of the ramen, and the taste, I think it's suitable for family use, including children, until late at night. After finishing work, I stopped by in the area of Fujiidera and decided to visit "Gomihachi Ten Fujiidera Store," which stays open late. This place is known for its stamina ramen, but their tomato ramen is quite popular, so I ordered the "Tomato Ramen for 800 yen." The ramen arrived after a while, and the soup was a vibrant red color. When I took a sip, I could taste a good balance of acidity and umami in the soup, which was quite delicious. The ramen was filled with tomatoes, Chinese cabbage, and other ingredients, providing a satisfying and enjoyable meal. Tomato ramen may sound unusual, but it was surprisingly tasty and easy to eat. I visited again. After rafting like last year, I stopped by the Fujiidera store. This is perfect for my tired body from rafting. The red one and half portion of fried rice (*´▽｀*) This time, I got the large size♪ It seems like it's becoming a regular course (lol).

I ordered the "Gomihachin Ramen" since it was my first time at the restaurant! It's great that they offer free upsizing on weekdays.

I really like the tomatoes at this restaurant.

The Five Flavors Ramen with boiled egg for 800 yen and Half Portion Fried Rice Set for 300 yen, total 1,100 yen. The Five Flavors Ramen is slightly spicy with a strong vegetable flavor, quite enjoyable. The Half Portion Fried Rice is also decent, but the regular portion is too much. On weekdays, you can get a free upgrade to extra noodles or fried rice with the set menu. The Tomato Ramen is recommended.
