[2019.11.03] Cafe while waiting for time. There are few restaurants in the international terminal. Among them, I chose Royal, a cafe with a good view. You can see the runway from the window. I ordered a set of sweets and coffee. ① Sweet Potato: An original Royal using "Benito" from Kagoshima. It was a delicious dessert. However, it was a shame that I couldn't eat the bottom part. My companion had ② Cheesecake, which had a nice acidity. You can have a refill of coffee.

We still had some time, so at my daughter's request, we decided to go to Fukuoka Airport to watch airplanes. She is a student preparing for exams, so this was also a nice break for her. My daughter and wife both love watching airplanes, so we occasionally come here. Since it was the last day of a three-day weekend, I thought there would be many domestic flights, so we went to the international terminal to watch the Royal Airline planes. We ordered the matcha chiffon cake set and the regular chiffon cake set. I just had coffee. The matcha cake had a rich tea flavor, as expected from Royal Airline. It was a generous portion, and my wife and I were very satisfied. The set with coffee cost around 650 yen, which was a good deal. You can have unlimited coffee refills. Although there were many Korean airlines flying during the day, we enjoyed watching the colorful planes. My daughter seemed refreshed, which was the most important thing. Thank you for the meal!

I was heading to Busan from Fukuoka Airport International Passenger Terminal in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. Since I had some time before the airline check-in and I planned to do some food exploration in Busan, I decided to have a light breakfast. I went to the 4th floor and found that "Royal Food Court International Store" was open. I checked the menu in front of the store and it seemed like they had a light breakfast option. I entered the store, paid for my meal upfront, and ordered my food. I chose a window seat where I could enjoy the beautiful view as advertised by the store. As soon as I sat down, I was served with an iced coffee. The staff informed me that my food was being prepared and asked me to wait. After about 2 minutes, my main dish, a "Ham and Egg Sandwich," was served. It was part of the "Morning Menu" as the "Set 4 for 880 yen," which included a choice of drink, in my case, iced coffee. I tried the Ham and Egg Sandwich, which had ham, egg, lettuce, cheese, and mustard in soft bread. It was delicious, and I even finished the potato fries. The meal was light and satisfying, perfect for a quick breakfast.

Pick up someone at Fukuoka Airport International Terminal. The arrival time is 18:55. Since there is still plenty of time before the arrival of the person we are picking up, we decided to have a meal first. There are restaurant facilities on the 4th floor of the terminal. We visited Royal Food Court. Food samples are displayed at the entrance of the food court. We first went to the register to place our order. Due to the high number of foreigners in the area, it took a while to place our order as many travelers were pointing at the menu to order. Finally, we placed an order for "Yukkejang noodles (1,080 yen, tax included)". However, the staff informed us that it was sold out and put a "Sold Out" sticker on the menu right in front of us. We were surprised but then ordered "Omelette rice & pork cutlet (1,580 yen)". We also added +250 yen for unlimited coffee refills. We received our coffee and got a seat with a view of the runway. We watched the planes taking off and landing while waiting for our order to be called. When the buzzer rang, we went back to the register to pick up our food. The omelette rice and pork cutlet were served on half-moon shaped plates, which when put together formed a circle design. The pork cutlet was crispy and the omelette rice was fluffy and covered in demi-glace sauce. It was delicious, but considering the price, it was expected. We had three cups of coffee to make the most of it, then headed to pick up our guest. Thank you for the meal.

In the morning heading to Hanoi, I used this restaurant. The domestic terminal has been renovated (still in progress) and has more dining options than before, but the international terminal still has few dining options. I wanted to have coffee, so I went in here. You pay at the register first, then pick up your food at the counter.
- My husband ordered the "Japanese-style breakfast set (1080 yen including tax)." I took a photo from my side, so I apologize for the poor quality. The plate included "small salmon," "fried egg," "broccoli & tomato," "ham," "salad," "seaweed," etc., along with rice and miso soup. For 1000 yen, the presentation was a bit lacking. It's airport prices, after all.
- I ordered the "Scrambled Egg Set (980 yen including tax)" which came with coffee, so I chose "iced coffee." The set included scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, salad (only cabbage), a slice of toast, and a small amount of butter and vegetables. The taste was quite ordinary. My husband still seemed unsatisfied, so I gave him half.
- The Japanese breakfast set comes with tea, but it was weak. The iced coffee was average. Both items are quite expensive considering the content. Maybe it's better to think of it as a seating fee.

I thought the airport restaurant would be just okay, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. I ordered a sandwich, okonomiyaki, and salad. The sandwich had fluffy bread and tasty eggs, and the side of potatoes was crispy and delicious. The okonomiyaki was fluffy and delicious, maybe because it had yam in it. I underestimated it, but it was really good! The seating was spacious, so I could relax. After the meal, I had coffee and a waffle soft serve. The soft serve was very rich and for around 400 yen, it was worth it! I definitely want to come back again.

I arrived at the airport too early, so I decided to have lunch. Since I am at the airport, I wanted to have a beer while watching the planes, so I came to this restaurant. The view here is amazing! You can constantly see planes taking off and landing. It's great. I ordered the popular menu item here, which is the omelette rice and salad set. Having a beer while enjoying the salad was nice. After the beer, I had the omelette rice, and it was quite delicious. This is a great restaurant! I am very satisfied!

Located on the 4th floor of the international terminal building at Fukuoka Airport in Fukuoka City, this restaurant is called "Royal Food Court". The establishment is spacious (with wide aisles to accommodate customers carrying luggage), bright, and has an airport-like atmosphere. They offer a variety of dishes ranging from ramen to curry and desserts. The restaurant operates on a pre-payment system, likely due to the diverse range of customers. Opening hours are from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm. One of their cakes, the Cheese Torte, is essentially a baked cheesecake. It has a perfect firmness that holds up well when cut with a fork, but melts in your mouth instantly. The flavor of lemon is noticeable. The portion size is generous, providing a satisfying eating experience. However, the presentation is somewhat lacking sophistication, as it is served in a standard packaging similar to what you might find in a supermarket.

<October 2014> I had some business on an international flight this day, so I had lunch here. The restaurant loyal has a great view of the airplanes from the large windows. The 4th floor of this building also has an observation deck. We decided to come in here because it looked nice, but there were no menu items under 1000 yen. We were seated first, then went to order our food at the entrance. We received a waiting card and paid at the register. I ordered the mixed grill. The taste was just average. The set with rice and grill alone was over 1000 yen. In other family restaurants, you would get soup or salad included, right? Well, it's an airport so it can't be helped (^^;

When returning to my overseas assignment, I occasionally stop by this restaurant. Normally, it is self-service where you take a tray and move to the register, but the katsu curry I ordered was brought to my table. The katsu is very filling and has a lot of volume. The rice portion is also generous, so ordering some side dishes and drinking beer with it will definitely lead to gaining weight. Being a long-established restaurant, the Western-style curry is delicious. Sitting by the window provides a great view of the airport runway in front of you, with the domestic terminal visible in the distance. The prices for the regular menu items are on the higher side, but it's probably due to the location.

At Fukuoka Airport, Royal Lounge is commonly used for both domestic and international flights. They serve food quickly, which is convenient when you have time constraints. There are few restaurants in the international terminal, so Royal Lounge is a good option. I have used it frequently, but I forgot to take a picture of the exterior, so here are some photos of the food only:
- Sandwich set: A standard sandwich with egg and ham. The taste is average.
- American Morning (780 yen): A classic dish available at most Royal Lounges. The amount of scrambled eggs seems to have decreased compared to before.
The menu is slightly different from the domestic terminal, and there is no drink bar, which can be inconvenient as you cannot get coffee refills. Royal Food Court International Terminal Store can be reached at 092-477-0170, located at Fukuoka Airport International Terminal 4th floor.

I had to go to Qingdao, China for work. Since I had some extra time on the international flight, I ended up having lunch at the airport. I was drawn to "Royal" by the panel. Royal and Fugetsu have a good reputation in the airport. The pork salt cutlet bowl was 780 yen. It's light for summer, but a bit too salty. It makes you want to drink beer.

I had a sandwich to start off lightly♪ There were many menu options! I had some time before my overseas flight, so I decided to have a light meal here. I ordered a set with draft beer and appetizers (1000 yen). For the appetizers, I chose the set with fried chicken and potatoes from a selection of 5 options. My companion ordered a BLT sandwich with orange juice. The fried chicken reminded me of KFC, with a crispy exterior and juicy interior. The potatoes were freshly fried and paired well with the beer. This set seemed like a good deal for an airport. The second beer onwards was also reasonably priced. The BLT sandwich came with salad and potatoes, and I ended up feeling pleasantly full from this light meal. The spacious and clean interior had large windows with a great view. The presence of foreign staff added to the international airport atmosphere. The service was very polite and the food was enjoyable. It was a pleasant experience before departure. Thank you for the meal.

In late August 2011, I visited Fukuoka Airport International Terminal in the morning to catch an international flight. I often use this airport because there aren't many other options around. The morning set was a good way to pass the time before departure, with a nice view of the airplanes. However, the price was too high, almost 1.5 times more than a regular restaurant. The taste was average, with a score of 27 out of 50 for flavor, 6 out of 20 for cost performance, 15 out of 20 for atmosphere, and 6 out of 10 for service. Overall, the score is 54 out of 100 for likelihood to return.

This is the Royal Food Court on the 4th floor of Fukuoka Airport International Terminal. I visited here to have breakfast as I was planning to go to Taiwan on that day. It is a cafeteria-style where you can choose your favorite food and pay at the counter. On this day, I ordered the American Morning set for 780 yen, which included scrambled eggs, sausage, salad, and toast, a typical breakfast menu. I also chose coffee as my drink. Enjoying breakfast and coffee while watching international flights through the large windows can really get you in the mood for a foreign trip. The shop is located on the left side of the 4th floor of Fukuoka Airport International Terminal.
In May 2011, I visited Seoul using the end of the month and had my last breakfast at the familiar Royal International Terminal Food Court. It's a unique pleasure of traveling to be able to drink beer in the morning.

I came to Fukuoka International Airport for an overseas business trip. Feeling a bit hungry, I headed to the restaurant area on the terminal. Among several shops, I was immediately drawn to the "Yukkejang Noodles" on the menu at a place called "Royal Food Court International Terminal Store." Here, you first order your meal with the chef, then order your drink and pay at the back counter to receive a number tag. I ordered the "Yukkejang Noodles" [¥980] and a "Beer" [¥500], then sat down. The large windows in the restaurant provide a great view of planes and it's quite enjoyable. As I sat alone sipping my beer, the food arrived! The appearance was stunning with a mix of red and yellow colors – red from chili oil and doubanjiang, and yellow from the egg. There were also green onions scattered throughout. Despite being called "Yukke," it did not contain raw meat. It had egg, beef, leeks, green onions, and fern shoots inside. The noodles were square-shaped and soft. When I tried it, it wasn't as spicy as it looked, but enough to make me sweat a bit. The mellow taste of the egg combined with the spiciness created a nice balance. The flavor was quite delicious. Looking at the receipt later, it was labeled as "Chige Ramen." That name seems to fit the dish better.

I was looking for a place where I could use my laptop and found this place. The beer was a large Kirin draft. I had yakitori and gyoza as snacks. The yakitori was delicious with a hint of spice. The gyoza was like frozen ones that were microwaved. It was tasty, but not exceptional. The constant boarding announcements made it a bit chaotic, not very relaxing. But for those in a hurry, it might be convenient.

[11/05/28 Royal Ramen]
I went to pick up my daughter who had gone to pick tea leaves in Ali Mountain, Taiwan. We took a break on the 4th floor and I noticed a panel at the entrance, so I decided to try the ramen after a long time. The appearance was modest, and the toppings were simple. The soup didn't have a strong pork bone smell, maybe because of the location. The price was quite high, like international prices. It might be the kind of ramen you would try for the first time after coming back from a foreign country.
[10/08/01 Bon Voyage]
I went to the international airport to see my daughter off. After checking in, I went to the 4th floor to have some tea. She was going to Paris, but she loves Vietnam so much that she wanted to transfer there. However, she couldn't get a ticket, so she had to settle for a budget ticket. She flew with EVA Air (Taiwan) via Taipei. They have a zero accident rate, which is reassuring. She was going to attend a Chinese tea seminar during her layover. I had some iced coffee, iced tea, and hot coffee for now. The hot coffee was refillable. Later, I sent her off at the departure gate, then went back for an early lunch. First, a non-alcoholic beer! I also had a pasta plate, mini doria, and five-grain rice curry. Since it's a royal place, the food was decent. The pasta plate had sausages, which I love. The pasta was a nostalgic meat sauce. I remember they used to have Tabasco on the shelf too. I must have missed the powdered cheese. The old days were delicious. I watched the jet planes taking off and landing on the runway, then it was time for departure. I went out to the pick-up deck to see her off. Sending someone off feels like sending them off to get married, even though she doesn't seem like she's going anywhere. Sometimes, traveling alone is nice too.
