It was hot, and I couldn't muster up the motivation to go shopping without eating something cold first. Ah, there's Futabaya here. They have shaved ice, the old-fashioned kind, topped with soft serve. And it's only 300 yen, which is cheap. If it helps me come back to life, then it's a good deal. I chose strawberry, I don't recall ever choosing Blue Hawaii in my life. My body is cooling down, and the soft serve is delicious. Upon closer inspection, it has a nice storefront, making me feel excited. I'm starting to feel like it's a good restaurant.

Having lunch at Futaba-ya. It's located inside Mega Don Quijote. I have no memories of it at all, so I'll just say whatever comes to mind, but it used to be Nagasakiya Department Store, right? There are still remnants of that. It feels like a relic from the bubble era. When you ride the elevator, you can see the view of each floor from behind the glass. You can even see the plaza. I'm really glad that Don Quijote took over this building and it didn't become a ghost town. And of course, the same goes for Futaba-ya. It's a parlor located on the top floor of a department store, as usual. The appearance and interior probably haven't changed. It gives off a very nostalgic feeling. I ordered the hamburger lunch. The hamburger served in a large skillet is small but just the right firmness. The taste, including the demi-glace sauce, is nostalgic. It feels like a time travel to the parlor of a Showa era department store. Thank you for the meal.

Today I was in the mood for Western food. For some reason, I felt like going to a restaurant that serves Napolitan. After finishing shopping at Don Quijote, I stumbled upon a retro-style restaurant! It was just what I was looking for. The display at the entrance showcased delicious dishes like Napolitan, Turkish rice, and hamburger. I entered the restaurant and ordered Napolitan and Turkish rice. It seemed like many other customers were ordering hamburgers. The prices were reasonable and the food was tasty. It's a casual and welcoming place. Even after leaving, I noticed that there was a Go Go Katsu Curry in Kanazawa! I haven't had it in over 10 years... I was shocked to realize it later. Maybe I'll try it next time.

I visited Parlor Futabaya, a place filled with memories with my family and friends! I used to go when it was located in Daimon and also when it was in Nagasaki-ya. This is my first time visiting since it became Megadon! The sweet demi-glace sauce on the delicious hamburger is amazing♡ It's been a while since I last had it, but the taste hasn't changed at all! The portion size is generous! I hope this shop will remain in Hakodate forever. I ordered the Hamburg and Shrimp Fry Combo (with soup) for 1375 yen and the Turkish Rice (with soup) for 1078 yen. This restaurant has been around since my parents' time. It used to be located in Matsukaze-cho, and later moved to Nagasaki-ya (now Don Quijote). I remember having soft serve ice cream there when I was a child. I decided to try some of their rice dishes this time. Both dishes were very flavorful, almost too strong. And they were quite sweet. I also noticed this when I had Katsudon at Rappi before. It seems like people in Hakodate like their food on the sweeter side. Maybe it's a regional preference? I would like to try the Ankake Yakisoba or the Nagoya Udon next time. Thank you for the meal.

This is an old-fashioned family restaurant located in Megadonki. I remember it from the days when it was called Nagasaki-ya. They offer trendy items like tapioca and soft serve ice cream for takeout. I tried the magma fried rice, and the combination of kimchi and cheese was surprisingly delicious. The portions overall seem a bit small. I noticed that many people were ordering the hamburger steak.

This is a restaurant located on the second floor of Don Quijote that serves delicious Western food and desserts! I often stop by with my family and friends when shopping at Don Quijote, and we usually enjoy the hot plate hamburger and rice here. It's convenient that you can also get takeout, so I use it when I don't feel like cooking dinner (lol). The staff have always been the same and provide quick service, which is nice! This time, I sat on the chairs outside the restaurant with my junior colleague and had the Futaba-ya special soft serve ice cream mix and chocolate sundae. The hamburgers here are delicious and the desserts (soft serve ice cream or parfaits) are always great! It's nice that customers can sit on the chairs in front of the restaurant and enjoy their soft serve ice cream.

Big Hamburger (^ ^) It's been a while since my family and I visited Futaba-ya. We decided to go with the Big Hamburger to share, and when it arrived, the hamburger was fist-sized and very filling. The hamburger was juicy, meaty, and delicious, with a lot of meat juices when you cut into it. It was quite exciting. The sauce was sweet and unique, difficult to describe, but surprisingly matched well with the hamburger, giving it a distinct flavor that is characteristic of Futaba-ya. Additionally, there were potatoes, green peppers, fried egg, and macaroni piled on the hot plate, adding to the satisfaction of the Big Hamburger. I highly recommend trying it out! (^ ^) Unfortunately, I was so satisfied that I forgot to take a picture... haha

I came to Mega Donki for shopping, they have cheap detergent and stuff. Since I was here, I decided to get something to eat on my way back (lol). I was torn between takoyaki and soft serve, but this time I went with soft serve! It's from Futaba-ya, a group that has parlors and Chinese restaurants in the city. This time it's soft serve, so I got it to go. It's 250 yen, which is a good price (lol). Took a picture! Alright, time to dig in! Mmm, it's delicious! It's not too sweet, has a slightly firm texture, and the portion is just right. Thanks for the meal! Next time, I'll eat in and try something else!

I stopped by to have lunch with my stomach growling after finishing up some errands. I tried to order the daily lunch special of menchi-katsu set but was told it was only available until 2 o'clock, and the clock showed exactly 2 o'clock. The waitress checked with the kitchen for me but it was still a no. Very punctual, huh? I ended up ordering the August daily special set menu of beef teppanyaki with lemon sauce for 1274 yen including a drink. All seats are smoking allowed, which was surprising. The waitress was very nice and had a gentle Hokkaido accent, providing great service. The food was delicious, especially since it was served sizzling hot on the teppan grill. Overall, it was a well-balanced cafe.

I stopped by for lunch at a retro-style Western restaurant. When I sat down, I could hear the sizzling sound of the teppan grill coming from the kitchen, so I decided to go with the sizzling hamburger. The regular-sized hamburger wasn't too big. It came with a side of ketchup-flavored macaroni. The sauce was quite sweet, and the hamburger was on the firmer side, which wasn't my preference. The price was a bit on the higher side considering you had to order rice separately even though it came with a fried egg.

There has been a cafe on the third floor of Don Quijote for quite some time, even since the days of Nagasaki-ya. I had already eaten lunch elsewhere, so I just had a parfait as a light snack. There was a sign at the entrance advertising soft serve ice cream for 200 yen, but if I want soft serve ice cream, I usually go to the one in the basement of Don Quijote. I can't remember the name of the place, but... Anyway, this time I tried the 680 yen Tiramisu parfait and the Strawberry Milk parfait. They both had a little whipped cream on top, and the rest was soft serve ice cream. The sauce on the Tiramisu parfait tasted like caramel sauce, but the flavor was lacking. The Tiramisu itself was a bit lukewarm. The Strawberry Milk parfait had a strawberry jam-like taste. There were no fruits included. The portions were generous, but overall, it was just okay.

This is Futabaya. I have been familiar with this taste since I was in elementary school. It used to be located in Greenbelt. I personally love this sweet sauce. You have to eat a balanced combination of potatoes, green peppers, macaroni, fried eggs, and hamburgers while constantly calculating to avoid feeling lost towards the end. The sweet sauce may taste sweet at first, but it turns into a strange taste of "shopee!" at the end. Since I have been eating it since I was a child, I think this is what a hamburger is supposed to taste like. Also, Futabaya's fried udon. I used to eat it with a double hamburger in the past, but at this age, it's impossible (laughs).

When I was little, our family used to go shopping at Nagasakiya and Ito Yokado in Hakodate. Nowadays, we only go to Ito Yokado a few times a year, but ever since Nagasakiya became Megadonki, we hardly ever go there. Suddenly, I had a craving for Futaba Soft ice cream, so I went there for the first time in a long time (about 10 years?). I parked my car in the rooftop parking lot and went inside the store. The interior had changed since the old days, but Futaba Soft was still the same, which was comforting. I ordered the grape mix flavor at the soft serve counter, which I don't recall being available back in the day. I received my grape mix soft serve and sat on a bench to enjoy it. The grape flavor was strong and delicious! I need to go back to Futaba Soft again soon. Thank you for the meal!

I used to go there a lot when I was a student. I never ate inside, I always bought soft serve ice cream and ate it on a bench while chatting with friends. It brings back nostalgic memories. Whenever I pass by, I see many people eating soft serve ice cream on the benches, so even if I didn't plan on buying any, I end up wanting some. It's cheap at 180 yen and tastes good. There are various flavors, but I always choose vanilla! Maybe next time I'll try the Concord grape flavor. I wonder what it tastes like. I hope it's rich in flavor. I peeked inside and saw some people having lunch there. I've never been inside, so next time I want to try having a meal there. The staff who made the soft serve ice cream were very friendly. If you drop your ice cream, you can tell the staff and they will exchange it for a new one! Very considerate!
