"I tried the amazing Oyakodon made with Nagoya Cochin chicken that I saw on a TV show the other day! I found out that there is a store in LUCUA, so I quickly went to check it out. The restaurant is run by the Sanwa Group, a pioneer in the poultry industry that has cultivated Nagoya Cochin, one of Japan's top three local chicken brands, since 1900. I arrived at LUCUA with excitement around 12:30 PM. There was a line, but it moved quickly and I got a seat in about 10 minutes. I ordered the Nagoya Cochin Oyakodon (large size) and a set of 2 Chicken Nanban. The Oyakodon was delicious with fluffy and tender Nagoya Cochin eggs, a rich and flavorful broth made from bonito flakes, muro extract, and chicken soup, and a special sauce made with Nagoya Cochin chicken soup and soy sauce koji. It was a luxurious dish filled with Nagoya Cochin goodness. The set also came with meatball soup and honey pickled plum, which were perfect accompaniments to the Oyakodon. The Chicken Nanban was juicy and satisfying. I left the restaurant feeling very full and satisfied. I recommend going with some extra time as there may be a line. Thank you for the delicious meal!"

This is a shop originating from Nagoya that is famous for its oyakodon in Tokyo. I visited after seeing it introduced on TV. It is a small shop with only 10 seats. They seem to focus on takeout side dishes like karaage, and their in-store menu mainly consists of oyakodon and karaage. This time, I ordered the Nagoya Cochin oyakodon. The seasoning is strong and delicious. The chicken is a bit firm, maybe because it's Nagoya Cochin. It came with collagen soup with two small tsukune meatballs, which had a great aroma and tasty broth. It also came with Nanko umeboshi honey pickled plums. I'm from Wakayama Prefecture and I love Nanko umeboshi honey pickled plums, but I felt they didn't quite match with this oyakodon. I think daikon pickles, or what we call takuan, would be best with oyakodon.

It's cute, right? It's a restaurant that serves chicken dishes, isn't it? Rather than just chicken dishes, I think their main dish is oyakodon. The combination of egg and chicken is really delicious, and the rice goes down very well. It was delicious♪ Thank you for the meal (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))♡

Nagoya Cochin Moon-viewing Chicken Minced Bowl ¥1,243- I love minced chicken rice myself. The minced chicken bowl is a recent new menu item, and the flavor is rich. The meat is elastic and feels gentle on the body. The soup is light. I personally like that it comes with one piece of Nanko Ume (honey-pickled plum). It has a nostalgic and elegant taste, and the portion is just right, which is why there are many female customers. The price is reasonable, and you can tell that they are particular about the ingredients when you eat it. Thank you for the meal.

Located in the basement floor of Lucua. Note that there are only around 10 seats at the counter. Sometimes I crave for oyakodon, and this place might be the best after all. The seasoning is on the stronger side, but with the light and gentle chicken broth and a big pickled plum, it's gone in no time. Thank you for the meal. #OsakaGourmet #Umeda #Lunch

Fried chicken set meal ¥860 - [Sanwa's pure chicken Nagoya Cochin]. There is a trivia POP on each table, showing a lot of attention to detail. There are usually many young men and women, with last order at 20:30. The fried chicken has a very refined seasoning. The dumpling soup is also good, and you can feel the love put into raising the Nagoya Cochin chicken, which is said to be very gentle on the body. The rice is normal. The impression is definitely that I want to come back again, and next time I will challenge the parent and child bowl! The ingredients are so wonderful and fresh that there is no unnecessary seasoning. It was a fried chicken that exceeded expectations. Thank you for the meal.

I suddenly felt like eating oyakodon and visited the restaurant for lunch on a holiday. It was around 2 pm and a bit late, but there were people lining up. However, since there were only 2 or 3 people, I joined the line at the back. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I entered the restaurant. You have to order and pay at the register first. I was planning on getting a regular oyakodon, but they had a seasonal limited edition oyakodon with oysters, and since I love oysters, I ordered that. It had both chicken and oysters in it. You could choose the chicken quality from two levels and the number of oysters (3 or 5) from another two levels. I wanted to eat a lot of oysters, so I chose the lower chicken quality and 5 oysters. I was happy that it came with a soup with fish balls and pickled plum. I couldn't help but think that maybe it would have been better with just chicken. Personally, I prefer the chicken to be more moist and the egg to be more runny.

I wanted to eat a quick meal and ordered the chicken nanban set that I had been curious about here at Lucua B1. The restaurant has only 10 seats, so it's a bit cramped. The food arrived in about 8 minutes. There were 6 pieces of chicken, so it was quite a generous portion. The chicken breast was tender! The nanban sauce was sweet, and the tartar sauce was to my liking. If you want a hearty meal, they also have sets like oyakodon and fried chicken. Thank you for the meal ★

I visited this restaurant on my way back from a business trip. Today, I ordered the parent and child bowl with fried chicken set [Herb-flavored beautiful water chicken] (¥1,080). I enjoyed both the parent and child bowl and the fried chicken as a set. I was the only male customer in the eat-in area, with only female customers. It's clear that this is a restaurant where women can also enjoy fried chicken and parent and child bowls. It was delicious. I think I will come back again.

The other day I had a takeout of a fried chicken taste comparison set, but today I had a half fried chicken set with parent and child rice bowl (¥1,140) in the restaurant. Both the parent and child rice bowl, fried chicken, soup, cabbage, and dressing were delicious. Very satisfied. I might become a regular customer!

It was easy for a woman to enter alone, and the portion was a bit too much. (laughs) I wish we could choose the number of fried chicken pieces. But they were incredibly juicy, tender, and delicious. They also offer takeout, so I would like to buy some to take home.

I went to Torisanwa in the underground floor 1F of JR Osaka Station. When I thought about having lunch alone at Osaka Station, I was a little hesitant. Should I go to Soup Stock, Torisanwa, or Maison Kayser? Since these three shops are next to each other or facing each other, I decided to go to Lucua and then decide after seeing them! Unfortunately, there was a line at the register at Soup Stock even though there were empty seats, so I chose Torisanwa, which seemed like I could enter right away. I also stopped by Maison Kayser for takeout after eating. I hurried to order at the register for prepayment and decided on the Nagoya Cochin Oyakodon after struggling with the menu. It's a limited-time menu. The Nagoya Cochin Oyakodon. The small dish served with it is honey-pickled Nankou Ume (plums). It was very easy to eat, and even though I used to dislike umeboshi (pickled plums), I ate all of them. The Nagoya Cochin was softer than I had imagined, and the half-cooked egg was just right, making it very delicious. The restaurant is not very spacious, with only counter seats, so it's easy for one person to enter. In fact, it might be a bit difficult for a large group. It was a delicious restaurant that was just right for a small group meal. After eating, I went back to the storefront and bought fried chicken as a souvenir to take home.

I was able to sit comfortably without feeling crowded, but I wish there was a bit more space in front and behind the seating area. It might be difficult to get out if there's someone sitting next to you. It seems like they focus more on takeout orders? The fact that the sauce for the chicken nanban was served in a separate container made it easy to eat. When the set meal was placed in front of me, the shiny appearance of the chicken got me really excited.

In terms of location, it's somewhat unavoidable that it's a place mainly for solo diners. At least going on a date here would be a bad choice. The seating is basically only at the counter, and the space between seats is narrow. Well, it's the location, so it can't be helped. I ordered the half parent and child bowl set with fried chicken. It comes with 5 pieces of fried chicken and a half parent and child bowl. Personally, I would have preferred a full parent and child bowl with a half portion of fried chicken (2 or 3 pieces) instead. But oh well. The fried chicken is the type you can squeeze lemon juice over, there is no salt and pepper. The parent and child bowl has a light and creamy egg mixture, making it delicious and easy to eat. It's a good option for a lunch for businessmen. However, be aware that the seating is limited.

☆彡As I passed by the front of the restaurant, I saw a mouth-watering photo of Oyakodon, and I immediately fell in love and entered the restaurant. It had been so long since I last had Oyakodon. They also offer takeout, but luckily there was one seat available inside the restaurant. I ordered the Nagoya Cochin Oyakodon with 2 pieces of fried chicken (1,300 yen). The eggs were perfectly cooked, and using a lid to lightly steam the entire dish is essential to making a delicious Oyakodon. The sauce was made with sugar and soy sauce, not kelp and bonito like traditional Oyakodon. It was not as sweet as the "Tamahide" in Tokyo, but it had a unique sweetness that may have been adjusted for the Kansai region. The dish was slightly different from the Osaka style, with only Mitsuba as the vegetable. The sweetness came from onions rather than sugar, and the rice was fluffy and mixed well with the eggs, creating a delicious combination. The menu focuses on Nagoya Cochin, and I was surprised to find that they serve chicken meatball soup instead of miso soup. It paired well with the sweet Oyakodon. The chicken in the Oyakodon was from Nagoya Cochin, with a firm and tasty texture, but the flavor did not penetrate deep into the meat, allowing the natural chicken flavor to shine through. However, I was disappointed with the fried chicken, as it was similar to what you can find in supermarkets. If they are promoting Nagoya Cochin, they should consider using the same chicken for the fried chicken as well. They also offer single items for takeout, but I would recommend eating it before the broth soaks into the rice. I post on Instagram @ginjirou.star.

I visited the restaurant on Saturday, 4/17 after work. I originally planned to get takeout, but as I looked at the menu, I couldn't resist and ended up dining in. The restaurant is located on the basement floor of LUCUA, with a small seating area for about 10 people. Due to the current situation with COVID-19, only 5-6 people are allowed in at a time. There was a line, but surprisingly, I was able to get in quickly. I ordered the "Nagoya Cochin Oyakodon" set, which includes the Oyakodon, soup, and a side dish (plum or meatballs). I chose the plum as my side dish. The Nagoya Cochin Oyakodon was my first time trying Nagoya Cochin chicken, and it was amazing. The chicken had a great texture and the flavor spread in my mouth with each bite. The combination of fluffy eggs and chewy Nagoya Cochin was perfect. The portion of rice was generous, and I was satisfied after finishing it all. I even left some of my dinner untouched because this Oyakodon filled me up so well. The soup came with two small chicken meatballs and had a light and easy-to-drink flavor. The plum side dish was of high quality and not like the ones you find at supermarkets. Overall, the "Nagoya Cochin Oyakodon" exceeded my expectations in terms of taste. I am interested in trying other menu items in the future and will definitely be back for takeout or dining in. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal! ☆

Located on the B1F floor of LUCUA, this restaurant is mainly a takeout place specializing in fried chicken, but it is actually a Nagoya Cochin chicken restaurant. You can enjoy a comforting parent and child bowl with a solid taste that doesn't disappoint. Unlike the expensive chicken dishes I had in Kyoto, this one is reasonably priced at just over 1000 yen. The texture of the chicken is different, with Nagoya Cochin offering a firm meat and bounce. It would be great if they could turn this into a regular restaurant format because the food is delicious.

I visited this restaurant for the first time based on a recommendation from an acquaintance. I had a hard time deciding what to order, but since I had never tried authentic Nagoya-style chicken wings before, I went with the "Nagoya Cochin parent and child bowl with chicken wings set." For the side dish, I had the option of pickled plums or meatballs (also from Nagoya), and I chose the meatballs. The restaurant had 10 seats, and although there was a short wait, I was able to sit down and there were baskets to store belongings, hooks on the walls to hang bags, and the option to refill tea, which I found satisfying. The service was also very pleasant. The taste exceeded my expectations, and I was truly impressed by the authentic flavors! The chicken wings were a first for me, and I was amazed by the sweet and savory soy sauce flavor that was addicting. The parent and child bowl had a perfect balance of sweetness, tender meat, and a generous portion size, and the two meatballs in the soup were also delicious. The side meatballs were also very tasty. I enjoyed relaxing and having multiple cups of tea. They provided shichimi spice and toothpicks as well, which added to my satisfaction. They also had proper virus prevention measures in place. I would love to visit again when I get off at Osaka Station. Next time, I would like to try comparing the flavors of their fried chicken. They also sell fried chicken, chicken wings, and bento boxes by the register, and I would like to buy some to take home next time I visit.

I had a craving for "karaage" since the night before. For lunch on this day, I decided to visit this restaurant. Despite being a small space with a maximum of 10 seats, it is usually full with just 6 people due to COVID-19 measures. They have a wide range of lunch menu options, such as karaage set meal for 880 yen, chicken nanban set meal for 980 yen, grated daikon karaage set meal for 980 yen, chicken katsu don for 780 yen, oyakodon/karaage taste comparison set for 1,190 yen, oyakodon for 980 yen, oyakodon/tebasaki karaage set for 1,240 yen, karaage meal for 1,280 yen, chicken nanban meal for 1,380 yen, and grated daikon karaage meal for 1,380 yen. It was a tough choice, but since I had been craving karaage, I decided on the simple karaage set meal. It cost 968 yen including tax. The set meal came with two small tsukune meatballs in chicken soup, which was slightly warm but delicious. The highlight was the karaage - there were 6 pieces in total. What was great about this karaage was that you could try two different types: soy sauce marinated karaage and salt marinated karaage. The soy sauce marinated karaage was familiar and tasty, made with thigh meat which was juicy and flavorful. The salt marinated karaage, made with breast meat, had a light and healthy taste with a crispy texture. I wished they had tonkatsu sauce or mayonnaise to go with it. The prices were on the higher side, possibly due to using Nagoya Cochin chicken and the rental costs at Lucua. Next time, I'll try their oyakodon, another favorite of mine. Bon appétit!
