I visited in the afternoon on a regular day and there was no wait. I purchased Setouchi lemon cheesecake coulant, salted edamame fromage, chocolate pretzel, and olive boule. They were a bit pricey, but all of them were delicious. I especially liked the olive boule with its chewy dough.

I'm not sure what "raw" means, but it's a raw croissant. It comes in a pack of 6 mini-sized ones. The size, sweetness, and chewy texture of this croissant are quite delicious. However, the shape is not the typical crescent shape of a croissant.

It is a bread with Camembert-flavored dough topped with small shrimp, egg salad, and tartar sauce. The price was reasonable, and when warmed up, it tasted like gratin. The small shrimp had a firm texture, and the bread had a strong egg flavor.

I visited Paul Bocuse Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin store in Fukuoka City. The store is located in the basement of Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin. There are various shops from daytime to evening, and it is bustling with people. This time, we all had bento boxes for lunch. - Thick Hamburg Steak Bento with Charia Pin Sauce (898 yen, tax included) The name sounds delicious. There were two choices of Demi-glace sauce or this one, and of course, I chose this one. The hamburg steak is thick and firm, very tasty. The sauce is like a Japanese-style sauce. The onions are not too soft and have a good texture. The rice is not enough for this. The price of the bento is a bit high, but it exceeded my expectations. Thank you for the meal.

Despite the higher prices, the satisfaction from just one piece is worth it. I tried the Premium European-style Beef Curry this time, a classic curry bread with a thick and crunchy crust filled with curry. The combination of the rich curry and fluffy dough was irresistible! Located on the B2 floor of Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin, it's easy to access and transport the delicious flavors. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you for the meal!

I visited Fukuoka for a food tour and discovered a bakery inside Daimaru at Hakata Station. I came across a bread called "Nama Bour" which caught my attention. It felt soft to the touch through the bag, so I decided to buy it. The Nama Bour was incredibly soft and moist, as described. I bought some bread at Daimaru for the first time in a while. This time, I bought a book-shaped bread, a creamy Hokkaido condensed milk bread, a crispy caramel melon bread, and a Camembert cheese bread. The caramel melon bread has a crunchy sugar coating on the surface and is drizzled with caramel. There is also caramel layered between the cookie dough and bread dough, making it a very satisfying bread. It has a caramel-like sweetness with a hint of saltiness that is quite addictive. The condensed milk bread has a gentle sweetness, but there is a lot of sugar on the surface. The Camembert cheese bread is very fluffy and chewy, with a subtle cheese flavor that is neither too strong nor too weak, making it a unique bread that is neither a pastry nor a meal bread. The sliced bread has almost no crust, and it is made with Hokkaido cream and butter, giving it a rich flavor. It is slightly sweet, fluffy, and delicious even without toasting or any spreads.

"Hakata Hanamaru・Daikichi" is now a nationally known talent, but at first, I mistakenly thought it was "Hakata Hanamaru・Daimaru." The name "Daimaru" is commonly associated with the long-established department store, so "Daikichi" didn't seem to fit. When they were young comedians, I only saw them on late-night shows when I visited Fukuoka, and I didn't find them funny at all, so I didn't even try to remember their names. I found "Yamamoto Hanayo," known as the "Akiko Wada of Hakata," to be entertaining, and Hanamaru seemed like her sidekick. Hanamaru is now a face on NHK in the morning, while Hanayo runs a snack bar, showing how life can change. The first time I properly remembered their names was when I started watching the Fukuoka local TV show "Nanshiyoto?" around that time. I had always associated them with "Daimaru" in my mind until then. The department store "Daimaru Fukuoka" is well-known, especially in the Tenjin area, alongside "Iwataya," which merged with "Mitsukoshi." I still vividly remember the opening of "Elgala" 25 years ago and the excitement it brought to me even though I was in Tokyo at the time. On the B2 floor of Elgala, you can find the "Paul Bocuse Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin Store." Next to it is the bakery "Maison Kayser," and while I don't know the parent company, there is likely some healthy competition between them. Paul Bocuse is a renowned French chef, and the bread and sweets bearing his name are likely carried on by the Daimaru group. The items I purchased this time were: 1. Milk Cream French Bread - a moist and soft bread with milk cream made using rich and flavorful cane sugar. 2. Chewy Cheese Rustic Bread - a chewy bread with shredded cheese rolled inside. 3. The fact that several pieces were picked up by female customers may be due to the bread's texture requiring a good chew and the natural taste that doesn't become overly heavy even with extra cheese."

This is a bakery located in the depachika of Tenjin Daimaru. It is easy to find when entering from the underground entrance. Each bread is individually wrapped, which is hygienic. I was indecisive but ended up buying a grape bread (345 yen). There was also a half size option, but it was a bit more expensive. It had plenty of raisins inside and was generously sprinkled with sugar on top. The crunchy texture of the sugar and the sweetness of the raisins combined well, without being too sweet. It tasted good as is or toasted with butter. However, it was just delicious in a normal way. Next door, Maison Kayser was crowded with many customers and had a long line at the register, while this place had fewer customers, which I can understand.

I purchased two seasonal breads and had them for breakfast the next morning. While I had the impression that anything purchased from Daimaru Tokyo store would be delicious, these breads were just average. The bread itself was not particularly tasty, and the ingredients did not stand out either. It wasn't bad by any means, but it lacked a distinct flavor. It seemed like they were aiming for something that would appeal to everyone. Personally, I wish they had something more unique.

Got a baguette from Paul Bocuse. Compared it with the baguette from Maison Kayser. Both were sliced straight to about 2 cm. The Paul Bocuse baguette lacked distinct flavor compared to Maison Kayser. The bread inside had no holes and was perfect for dipping. Both had their good points. Also got a croquette sandwich, which was small and cute. It was quite thick and delicious.

I thought it would be delicious because it's from Paul Bocuse, but it turned out to be just an average bakery. The bread was soft and lacked a fragrant taste, it was just a normal bread. I wonder how they can operate next to that store. It's a mystery. - Cream cheese bread: Pure white. Fluffy. Seems good for the elderly. Cream cheese was somewhat generous. More like a sweet bread than a regular bread. - Edamame and cheese bread (shaped like a cow's horn): It was just okay. Not delicious, but not bad either. No strong feelings. - Cheese bread (ciabatta?): Better than the edamame one. Seems like it would be good if you added some ham or salad yourself.

After leaving the yakiniku restaurant, I decided to buy some bread on my way home before taking the train. I searched for a nearby bakery on Tabelog, and the one that caught my eye the most was this shop. It was visited by some famous reviewers that I often follow. I decided to give it a try. I arrived at the shop around 11:45. It was my first time there, and it was an open and spacious shop located on the 2nd floor of Daimaru. Customers seemed to be visiting continuously. I looked around the shop and saw a variety of attractive bread. I had a hard time deciding. I ended up purchasing the Premium Aged Beef Curry, Red King Crab Cream Croquette, Pan Mou (Cream Cheese), Quatre-Quarts Orange (1/4), Caramel Banana (1/2), and Sicilian Lemon Cheesecake Kouign-Amann (Brulee Style), a total of 6 items. I didn't plan to buy this much since I had already had lunch, but I took them home. The Premium Aged Beef Curry is a crispy bread with moist curry inside. The curry is rich and not spicy, with plenty of ingredients like potatoes. It's a bit different from typical curry bread in terms of texture. The Red King Crab Cream Croquette has a smooth and creamy texture with red king crab meat inside. The outside is crispy, and the inside is creamy croquette. Pan Mou (Cream Cheese) is a bread with a chewy texture and rich, smooth cream cheese. The cheese has a mild acidity and is easy to eat. Quatre-Quarts Orange is a fruit cake topped with orange. The orange has a mild sweetness and goes well with the moist cake. It was my favorite among the items I purchased this time. The Caramel Banana is a bread with banana and caramel filling. The natural sweetness of the banana is nice, and the caramel sweetness is slightly subdued. The Sicilian Lemon Cheesecake Kouign-Amann (Brulee Style) is made with Sicilian lemon and cheese filling folded into the dough and bruleed. The lemon acidity is mild, and the overall sweetness is just right. I finished them all in no time. I prefer the sweeter bread from this shop. They seem to have more soft bread than hard bread. There are other bread that caught my interest, so I might visit again. The total cost this time was 1261 yen, a bit pricey but understandable since it's a bakery in the Daimaru in Tenjin. It was delicious. I will come back again.

There are three bakeries in a fierce competition at the B2 floor of Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin store. I spotted the Apple Pie from "Paul Bocuse" (248 yen including tax). The quarter slice of the whole pie at this price looked so delicious with the scent of cinnamon and the color of the stewed apples. I couldn't resist and bought it. I warmed it up in the microwave and oh boy, as soon as I opened the microwave, I was knocked out by the overwhelming scent of cinnamon. The apples were perfectly sweetened and had raisins scattered in between. The crispy texture of the pie crust was also great. It's irresistible for apple pie lovers. I was completely satisfied from the morning. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I came across Danish bread at the store and of course, I had to buy it! The crust of the bread is made with Danish pastry, giving it a crispy texture and a hint of sweetness which I really enjoyed. Next time, I'll get a whole loaf! The red bean donut was just average, but the curry bread was quite unique.
