It's been a while since I came here. I ordered 6 takoyaki for 580 yen and chose a set drink for 450 yen, which I made into a ginger sour. The total came to 1,030 yen, but with a coupon, it was only 730 yen, which was a good deal. I prefer ginger sour over lemon sour. Although I ordered 6 takoyaki, it looks like there are 8, but it might just be my imagination. The broth is flavorful, the octopus is large, and it's satisfying to eat. The ginger leaves a refreshing feeling in my mouth, helping to relieve summer fatigue.

When you feel like having a little drink, the food court at Hankyu Sanban-gai is convenient. You can buy a little bit from various shops and it's fun to try different things, even though it can be a bit overwhelming. There are many food courts like this, each with its own unique characteristics, and they are completely different from large retail stores, making it enjoyable.

This morning, I had work in Umeda. I had planned to go to Nakazakicho afterwards for some spicy curry, but the meeting ran late and I ran out of time, so I ended up having lunch in Sanbancho instead. I searched for okonomiyaki and found a restaurant called Kiyotaro, which also has branches in Itami Airport. I was surprised to find a food court here, but apparently they renovated the underground area of Sanbancho five years ago and now have a food court with 1,000 seats. The choices were limited as it was a food court, with only two types of okonomiyaki - pork and squid. However, you could customize your toppings. I ordered the pork okonomiyaki and black oolong tea (not Pepsi) for 1,280 yen including tax. Since it was okonomiyaki, there was a bit of a wait after ordering (about 10-15 minutes). Despite being a chain in a food court, I wasn't expecting much, but it was Osaka quality. The fluffy texture was just like the okonomiyaki you would eat in Osaka. It's important to meet that standard to survive as an okonomiyaki restaurant in Osaka.

Takoyaki & pork sauce yakisoba set for 1180 yen, draft beer for 330 yen. The takoyaki comes in a set of 4, each one is big and fluffy. The yakisoba portion is also generous. The sauce is just right, not too spicy or too sweet, and it's poured generously over the dish. You can add mayonnaise at the end if you like. The noodles are thick, with a good amount of pork and less vegetables, making it a good choice even for those who don't like cabbage much.

In the food court of Hankyu Sanbangai, there is a shop where you can order a set of yakisoba with squid and takoyaki. On weekend nights, the shops around the station are crowded, but the food court has plenty of seats available. The yakisoba is cooked on a teppan in the kitchen, giving you a taste of street food yakisoba.

The Sukiyaki restaurant "Kiyotaro" in the North Building of Umeda's Sanban-gai no longer offers Negiyaki on their menu. Instead, I ordered the Okonomiyaki (Pork Tamago) for 980 yen. When I was looking for change, they handed me a bell and said it was already ready, so I could go ahead and eat. I felt a bit disappointed as it seemed like they pre-made the dish. At the counter, you can help yourself to Aonori and mayonnaise. It was a bit difficult to get the mayonnaise out. The dish was warm, not hot, but since it was cooked on a hot plate, it was acceptable. However, there was a lack of pork in the Okonomiyaki. I only found a few small pieces at the bottom. In all, the dish was on the smaller side. The taste was average, and it felt like something I could have made at home. Considering the price of 980 yen, I was a bit underwhelmed.

I stopped by quickly before running errands. If you're in the mood for some saucy dishes, you should definitely check out this place! They serve delicious okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and takoyaki. It can get crowded on weekends, so I recommend coming early! I haven't tried the takoyaki yet, so I'll definitely be back for that next time! I felt like having a quick bite of Osaka specialty and decided to go to Seijuro. I was torn between okonomiyaki and takoyaki, but ended up choosing takoyaki. When the piping hot takoyaki and yakisoba came out on the hot plate, I dug in. The takoyaki was so creamy and gooey inside that it almost felt like custard! It had a creamy texture with a hint of dashi flavor, making it smooth and delicious. Just by eating this, I could tell it was truly Osaka-style. The yakisoba had thick noodles, thicker than regular yakisoba noodles. The flavor was not too strong, making it easy to eat, but the thick noodles made it quite filling! Just four pieces of takoyaki and yakisoba were enough to fill me up (laughs). It's been a while since I had delicious takoyaki! Thank you for the meal! Creamy takoyaki at Seijuro.

As a fan of okonomiyaki, I decided to head straight to this place without hesitation. I was surprised when I saw the menu - apparently, the okonomiyaki set during lunchtime had run out and been replaced with takoyaki! Oh no! I really wanted to try the okonomiyaki and yakisoba. Oh well, I ended up ordering the "grilled squid salt yakisoba + takoyaki set (4 pieces)" instead. The alarm went off 7-8 minutes after ordering, and I went to pick up my food. The dish arrived on a round iron plate, with salt yakisoba and takoyaki on the side. The portion was bigger than I expected, which got me excited. The takoyaki had large pieces of octopus inside, which were incredibly fresh and delicious. The texture was firm with a gooey center, truly tasty! I couldn't help but be impressed. The yakisoba had cabbage, bean sprouts, and plenty of squid, and it was quite tasty. For this price, if the noodles were fresh, it would have been even better. Since the takoyaki was so good, I want to try the okonomiyaki next time.

It's not an exaggeration to say that this set meal featuring the representative dishes of Osaka, the thick and fluffy tonpeiyaki and the famous takoyaki, is a must-try for Osaka food lovers. I was expecting a more impressive performance after the last time I tried the fluffy egg okonomiyaki, but this time it was just average. I've actually visited the original shop where tonpeiyaki originated from a few times, and tonpeiyaki seems to be popular with everyone. The tonpeiyaki here is slightly puffed up. The takoyaki comes with 6 pieces, and you can freely add mayonnaise and seaweed as you like. If I were to describe them as dynamic and calm, the takoyaki gives off a calm impression. The sauce on top is very natural in flavor. Okonomiyaki Seijuro Sanbangai Shop.

I went to the food court and felt like having a little more to drink, so I decided to have takoyaki as a side dish with my draft beer! The restaurant I went to was "Okonomiyaki Seijuro Sanbangai-ten". I love takoyaki and I pride myself on having tried almost all the delicious takoyaki in Osaka! But I haven't had takoyaki from an okonomiyaki restaurant much before??? When I ordered it along with my draft beer, they gave me a buzzer! When it buzzed, the takoyaki was ready... It was delicious with sweet sauce and a fluffy texture! The draft beer also tasted great! If you have time at Hankyu Umeda station, I think it's worth trying Seijuro's takoyaki! Thank you for the meal!!!

(Visit on July 9, 2022) Tonkotsu Tamago at 980 yen (tax included) was ready faster than expected, and it was nice that it was hot. When I put my chopsticks in, the whole thing didn't solidify yet, making it difficult to grab with chopsticks. The sauce is on the strong side, so it makes you want a beer. The portion size is a bit small compared to the size of the hot plate, so I didn't feel like I ate much. However, if it had become larger and more expensive, it might have become less casual to eat. I'm not sure which is better... Thank you for the meal.

Located on the B2F of Hankyu Sanban-gai North Building, Umeda Food Hall. I only have 3 more places to visit before completing the food hall conquest. One of them is Fumimon, a restaurant that serves okonomiyaki and yakisoba. I didn't expect to get full here, so I ordered the Akashi octopus spicy yakisoba for 980 yen at the register. It is the most expensive yakisoba on the menu, made with Akashi octopus, homemade spicy chili oil, and salt sauce, perfect for stamina in the summer and available even in winter. After about 15 minutes, my order was ready. The dish included small pieces of Akashi octopus, bean sprouts, cabbage, chives, and chewy thick noodles, with a mild and easy-to-eat spiciness from the chili oil and a light salt sauce. Topped with a generous amount of bonito flakes, it was delicious.

I haven't been eating okonomiyaki much lately. When we were kids, it was cheap, and we used to go to the local okonomiyaki shop with our friends, but now it's become too expensive for kids' allowances. The image of it being expensive is getting in the way, I guess. Still, I decided to try it out at a food terrace. I thought the cooking would be fast at a place like this, but it wasn't. However, when you think about it, they're cooking it fresh each time, so it must be delicious. I ordered a half portion of okonomiyaki and a half portion of yakisoba for 980 yen including tax. The bonito flakes dancing on top looked delicious, but in reality, they weren't that hot. The yakisoba had a mild flavor and was tasty. As for the okonomiyaki, the strong acidity of the sauce was overpowering, masking the flavors of the batter and cabbage inside. The square pieces of pork somehow didn't taste as good as expected. The young cooks are probably trained well, but for some reason, okonomiyaki just tastes better when an older lady cooks it.

I visited here in the Umeda Food Hall on the second basement floor of Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station. Since it is a food court type of place, you first order and pay before dining. I ordered the pork sauce yakisoba and a draft beer. Let's dig in! The yakisoba was served on a hot plate, which was a nice touch for a food court. It was moist and chewy, but there were some burnt parts which was a bit disappointing. The beer was served in a properly chilled glass and tasted good. By the time I brought it to my seat, the foam had dissipated a bit. Overall, it was a satisfying meal! Beer and highballs are cheaper when ordered as a set with food, so with this set, you get change back from a thousand yen.

I found a perfect place to eat with great COVID-19 measures in place, and ended up liking the food hall called Kiyotaro. The menu was affordable, and they even had a special set including Kiyotaro Special for 1300 yen and a beer for 330 yen. I ordered the Kiyotaro Special and a beer, totaling 1660 yen. At the Nishinomiya Gardens branch, the Kiyotaro Special comes with a fried egg for 1580 yen, and a beer costs 650 yen. It's quite a price difference. You have to carry the heavy iron plate and mug by yourself, which explains the price gap. The spatula is unnecessary for this soft okonomiyaki. I mentioned this in my review of the Nishinomiya Gardens branch as well, but I really like the variety of ingredients and flavors.

This is a shop located in the north area of Hankyu Sanbangai's food court. I visited in the evening and had the Kiyoshiro Mix okonomiyaki, which costs 1300 yen. It is a luxurious okonomiyaki with ingredients such as octopus, spear squid, shrimp, Hinata pork, and fried pork fat. It takes 15 minutes to cook, so I waited in the food court with a call buzzer. It may have taken more than 15 minutes, but a fluffy and creamy okonomiyaki was served on a hot plate. The octopus and fried pork fat had a really good taste, but the taste of the okonomiyaki itself was average.

This is a review of an okonomiyaki restaurant in Hankyu Sanban-gai, Umeda Food Hall. I visited around 1:00 PM and ordered yakisoba. They told me it would take about 10 minutes, so while I was looking for a seat, my order was ready. They asked me if I wanted nori on top, which was a nice touch. The yakisoba was reasonably priced, had a good portion size, and left me feeling full. The staff were friendly and I had a pleasant experience. Thank you for the meal.

One of the stores in UMEDA FOOD HALL, which has about 1,000 seats. It is a chain of okonomiyaki restaurants with 4 outlets currently (Grand Front, Itami Airport, Aeon Kyoto). Many customers opt for takeout, with a cooking time of 10-15 minutes. The biggest advantage of enjoying okonomiyaki in the food court is that there is no smell on clothes or hair. Comfortable♪
- Kiyotaro Special 1,300 yen
- Pork and squid salt yakisoba half 1,280 yen
- Beef tendon and green onion yakisoba 680 yen
- Oyster and green onion salt stir-fry 880 yen
Plus set drink, total of 4,290 yen for 2 people. Payment can be made in cash or by card, and S Point card points are also accepted. In terms of taste, the special is spicy with a thick sauce, pork and squid is sweet sauce✨, beef tendon is soy sauce flavor, and the chewy thick noodles yakisoba and oyster stir-fry are salty. All dishes have a high satisfaction level due to their different approaches◎✨. Although they all make you want a carbonated drink, they are best paired with refreshing black oolong tea. The okonomiyaki itself is a thick and creamy texture with a dashi flavor. You can add your own seasonings to the generous amount of sauce. When the tray is taken away, you are greeted with a refreshing "Thank you! Please come again!" which makes you think, "Oh✨". It's humbling. Until next time!! Thank you for the meal.

I went to a new restaurant at Umeda Food Hall recommended by a friend. It was around 11 am on a holiday, so the food hall was not crowded. I heard that both the okonomiyaki and yakisoba were delicious, so I decided to go for the Kiyotaro Special + Salted Squid Soba combo for ¥1380. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be ready. The Kiyotaro Special had squid, octopus, pork, dried shrimp, and special ingredients. It was topped with a fried egg and shiso leaves. The fluffy okonomiyaki was devoured quickly. The salted soba had thick noodles that were chewy. The okonomiyaki with sweet sauce and the salty soba paired well together. I would like to try the regular yakisoba next time.
