Today's dinner was in Hakata. My business trip in Hakata ends in the evening. I planned to take a slightly later Shinkansen back and have dinner in Hakata. I made a reservation here three days ago. On the internet, you can only make a reservation for two people, but it's okay by phone. I hope they improve this. I arrived at the restaurant on time with a can of Long in hand. I couldn't contain my excitement. I had eaten here a few years ago and it was a culture shock. I was guided to a semi-private counter for one person in a calm and beautiful traditional Japanese atmosphere. I ordered the tasting course (4000 yen) and a beer (600 yen). The appetizer (free) of okyuto and a trio of appetizers, along with the beer, arrived promptly. First, cheers to the beer (I had been drinking while walking earlier). It's delicious, as always. I enjoyed the okyuto, a taste of early summer. The chef's skill is evident in this dish. The chicken tataki was next. It was thigh meat. The crispy skin texture, the sweetness of the fat, it was great! I can't stop myself from tataki-ing the table (^ω^) The chicken meatball marinated in salted koji was a dish I had never tried before. The sticky texture and the aroma of koji, this one goes well with sake. The chicken ham, wrapped in sliced onions, was delicious. This is what I wanted to eat, that's why I chose the tasting course (≧▽≦) The hot pot arrived. The rich and creamy chicken soup with bone-in chopped meat visible. Once it started boiling, they poured the soup into a teacup for me. I added a little rock salt, floated some leeks, and drank it. Wow, this is delicious (゜ο°;)ノ This is it. The rich soup that brings out the flavor of the chicken to the fullest. My lips felt oily from the chicken fat, but it wasn't greasy at all. Wonderful! I watched the pot while picking at the sides. When it was ready (^ω^), I dipped the bone-in meat in yuzu pepper and savored it. Yum! The juicy chicken meat, especially the meat around the bones, was delicious. The thigh meat was also juicy. The liver was like melting in my mouth, so flavorful and delicious! The meatball, such a sinful dish. The flavor is so rich. The crunchy heart, please stay in my mouth (^^) I also picked at the vegetables. The homemade ponzu sauce was great, enhancing the flavor of the vegetables. Sometimes I poured more soup into the teacup and drank it. I want to take this soup home in a pot. I kept eating and drinking, feeling happy. Enjoying Mizutaki in Hakata, this kind of business trip could happen every week. "For the finish, would you like zosui or champon?" "I'll have zosui, please." If you want to savor every drop of this soup, zosui is the way to go. It was simmered and finished with egg and leeks. It was so delicious (^∇^) Yum! The rice absorbed the soup and became incredibly sweet. I added yuzu pepper for a refreshing and spicy kick. I slurped the piping hot zosui, feeling content. Finally, I lifted the pot and poured everything into the bowl. I thoroughly enjoyed Mizutaki alone (^^). It was a bit of a luxurious time. Thank you, it was a feast. Now, before boarding the Shinkansen, I'll go buy some souvenirs and snacks (laughs).

It was my first visit to this restaurant, which was quite crowded, but they managed to seat us efficiently. I opted for the Hakata Mizutaki set meal, and was pleased to find out that I could change the chicken to duck for an additional cost. The sesame mackerel served as an appetizer was delicious! Of course, the Mizutaki hot pot was as good as expected. The atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant and refined, yet the food was so tasty that I couldn't help but devour it quickly. The dessert seemed to change with the seasons (it was watermelon flavored), and it was very delicious.

I wanted to eat Mizutaki in Hakata, so I looked it up and found out that Hakata Hanamidori Hakata Ekimae serves it for lunch. I was a bit hesitant to go alone because of the atmosphere, but the staff were very friendly and there was a counter seat available, which was nice. I ordered the Hakata Mizutaki set meal and upgraded the rice to Kashiwa rice for an additional 100 yen. It was my first time trying Mizutaki, and the chicken was tender with a gentle flavor that chicken lovers would enjoy. I was able to have both Kashiwa rice and white rice because they offered free refills on the white rice. The Mizutaki set meal felt like a great deal and I would love to eat it again.

I arrived in Fukuoka for the first time! I was planning to have Mizutaki (chicken hot pot) for lunch here, but unfortunately they only serve dinner menus today! I chose a branch of Hakata Hanamidori that offers lunch, but... The order was: - Hanamidori Mizutaki... 3,500 yen - Sesame Kanpachi (amberjack fish)... 1,080 yen - Table charge... 580 yen It's quite stingy, but the Mizutaki is served per person. So, if someone doesn't order Mizutaki, they have to pay the table charge. My husband was okay with that... The lunch set, Hakata Mizutaki Gohan, for 1,780 yen is actually a very good deal. They also serve a table charge and complimentary tea or water. The Sesame Kanpachi arrived... The sesame sauce is delicious! I wanted to try it since it comes with the lunch set. I'm not sure about the lunch set, but the Mizutaki was carefully prepared by the waitress. First, a pot with diced meat and broth arrives, and you light the fire. After skimming off the scum and warming it up, they pour the broth into a cup with salt and green onions for you to drink. Delicious! The diced meat is served on a plate with ponzu sauce. When you finish eating, they prepare Tsukune (chicken meatball), chicken thigh meat, and chicken heart... Tsukune is added to the pot first, then the thigh meat and heart, which take 5 minutes to cook. You can add vegetables whenever you like. The taste of the broth changes depending on when you add the meat only, the vegetables, or the broth, so enjoy it. When you finish eating, they offer a shime (finishing dish). There is no shime for lunch. You can choose between Zosui (rice porridge) or Chanpon noodles, and I chose Chanpon noodles. Maybe Zosui would have been better. They serve the noodles with pickled radish and mentaiko (spicy cod roe)... They clean the broth and add the noodles for you. Then, it's up to you. They asked how I wanted to eat it, whether with salt, ponzu sauce, or just the broth. Salt brings out the umami of the broth. Zosui might have been better to fully enjoy the flavor of the broth. It was really delicious, and since it's a high-end restaurant, and we're not young anymore, we should have ordered a portion for two. I regret it, but my husband doesn't... This restaurant is conveniently located near Hakata Station. After the meal, we also walked to Canal City. It might have been better to take the bus...

On the first night of my summer vacation trip, I went to Hakata Hanamidori near Hakata Station. There were several courses available, but I ordered the simple taste course. First, the raw ham and tataki were served, and the seasoning was exquisite, to the point where I wanted seconds. Then, in the main dish of Mizutaki, the chicken was really tender. I enjoyed it with ponzu sauce. Finally, I finished with zosui, and it was a very enjoyable experience.

I searched around Hakata Station and found it, so I decided to visit during lunchtime. I was seated at the counter and ordered the "Kamidoritori Gohan" for 2200 yen. I also ordered a bottle of beer because it was extremely hot that day in Hakata, reaching 38 degrees. First, I enjoyed the bottle of beer and three appetizers - chicken ham, uzaku, and corn tofu. The sesame yellowtail was also delicious and had a Fukuoka touch to it. The soup, of course, was the water-boiled soup, with a gentle and flavorful taste. Next was the main dish, the water-boiled hot pot, which was full of delicious ingredients like chicken, liver, and dumplings. The vegetables included tofu, kuzukiri, mushrooms, green onions, and cabbage. The meal also came with kashiwa noodles, which paired perfectly with the chicken and burdock flavors. Lastly, the meal included fried chicken and dessert, making it a very satisfying set. This "Gohan" is perfect for those who want to enjoy a leisurely meal when they have extra time. This was my first experience with Hakata water-boiled dishes, and it was delicious. Thank you for the feast.

I came to Hakata for the first time and tried Mizutaki (chicken hot pot) for the first time. I ordered Mizutaki, horse sashimi, chicken ham, and more. The appetizers came out first, and when we finished eating them, the main dish of Mizutaki arrived. The server explained as they cooked it, and we were able to eat it at the perfect timing. We started by drinking the broth, then added meat and vegetables in that order. It was very delicious. For dessert, we had Champon noodles and enjoyed the savory flavor of the chicken until the very end.

I went to Hanamidori, a famous restaurant in Hakata, because I was craving for Mizutaki. I didn't make a reservation, but since they have many seats, I was able to get in easily. I ordered the Hakata Mizutaki set meal (1780 yen) right away. I was able to pay with PayPay. I thought it might take a while since it's a hot pot dish, but it was served in about 5 minutes. The chicken included not only thigh meat but also organ meats. I felt like the broth was a bit lacking in flavor. Maybe it needs to be simmered longer? The portion size was just right for one person. There were many staff members, so I didn't have to wait long for assistance. They were all dressed neatly in uniforms, giving off a vibe of a popular local chain restaurant.

◇Hanamidoritori Gozen 2,200 yen I traveled to Fukuoka with some acquaintances and was appointed as the organizer. I searched for a place where we could make a reservation and experience something typical of Fukuoka, and found this restaurant. It's a bit of a walk from Hakata Station. The interior of the restaurant has semi-private rooms, creating a relaxed and slightly luxurious atmosphere. I made a reservation in advance for the Hanamidoritori Gozen set meal. The set included a hot pot soup, three appetizers, sesame amberjack, small side dishes, fried chicken, a small pot of hot pot, kashiwa rice, and dessert. You can switch to white rice for free if you prefer it over the kashiwa rice, but the portion was generous. We enjoyed a pleasant time drinking some sake from noon. I was able to successfully kick off my role as the organizer. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The location of the restaurant was hard to find. I went there while sightseeing in Hakata to try the famous Hanamidori! The person who guided us to our table was a trainee, but they did a good job. The food was well-prepared and delicious. It would be better if they could provide more information about how to eat the dishes and recommendations. It felt like a high-end restaurant. I don't think I will go back, but it's a place where you can eat a lot of chicken!

I arrived at the restaurant just after 11 am before it opened, but there was no line and a sign saying they were still preparing. I went to a nearby affiliated restaurant, but they weren't open for lunch. When I returned around 11:25 am, there were already customers inside. A beautiful hostess-like woman led me to a counter seat by the wall. The seat was spacious and well-designed. I ordered the Hanaaji Tori Gozen (2,200 yen) and was quickly served Goma Kanpachi and three appetizers. The main dish of Mizudaki also arrived within 5 minutes. The Goma Kanpachi had a good marinated flavor and was delicious. The three appetizers, including Shiraae, were very elegant. The Mizudaki consisted of chicken, tofu, mushrooms, and something similar to macaroni. The soup was served in a cup and had a mild and tasty flavor. There was also yuzu pepper available, but the dish was already delicious without it. The Kashiwa rice had a subtle ginger flavor and was very refined. You could get free refills of white rice. The fried chicken was larger than expected and added a nice touch to the meal. The dessert, strawberry mousse, was also delicious. The fact that the dessert spoon was chilled showed that the restaurant pays attention to details. Overall, it was a restaurant with a wide variety of dishes, elegant atmosphere, and great service.

Upon entering, I found a high-class atmosphere with staff dressed in yukata, creating a nice Japanese-modern ambiance. We started with a delicious soup rich in collagen, which is good for the skin. Next, we had juicy and tender chicken meat that was absolutely delicious. The homemade ponzu sauce paired perfectly with it! Every dish we tried was delicious. Lastly, we had a collagen-rich, light and fluffy egg porridge that we could have eaten multiple bowls of. When I visit Hakata again, I will definitely go back to eat there! I have eaten in Tokyo before, but this was my first time trying the authentic version and I was so excited! The taste exceeded my expectations and I was impressed by the rich flavor and depth of the chicken. The staff mostly finish cooking the hot pot in front of you, so you can watch as the delicious sukiyaki is quickly prepared right before your eyes! I went with two other ladies who eat a lot, and we were all stuffed by the end of the meal... It may sound selfish, but I'm glad they offer ladies' sizes and portions for two people. I will definitely go back again!!

Even though we didn't have a reservation, the restaurant kindly squeezed us in between reserved customers! We were grateful for the hostess's consideration. The chicken hot pot we tried for the first time was delicious! My wife was happy to get plenty of collagen and her skin was glowing (lol).

Located in Hakata Station Chikushi exit, this restaurant specializes in Mizutaki, a type of hot pot dish.
