Local pork bone ramen chain (franchise) Showa Fukui Ramen. I heard that the menu and pricing are flexible. The logo also seems to be free. It says "s Fukui Ramen". The "S" is probably the "S" in Showa. The interior of the restaurant has only counter seats in an L-shaped layout. The male owner, who moves briskly, manages the place by himself. To my right at my seat, there are spicy pickled mustard greens and pickled daikon radish. The pickled daikon radish is originally meant for white rice but it seems that some people put it in their ramen as well. Looking to the left at the counter seats, there are boiled eggs and seasonings. There is pepper and garlic, but there is no standard red pickled ginger and sesame seeds that are common in pork bone ramen shops. This is because the ramen already has sesame seeds on it from the start. There is a grand menu on the wall. The ramen costs 500 yen. Fukui Ramen is known for its light and simple pork bone broth, perfect for when you are on a diet or want to eat something light. For me, when I have plans to have a heavy meal at night, I usually say, "Let's have udon or Fukui Ramen for lunch!" as it is light enough. However, contrary to my expectations, the soup here was heavy. The base is indeed a light pork bone broth that reminds you of Fukui, but what stands out is the thick Nagahama-style greasy feeling that covers the surface of the soup. Under the semi-transparent grease, there is hot soup and noodles. If you don't order them firm, they might get soft quickly. The Chashu Ramen costs 650 yen. The chashu in Fukui Ramen is usually a light and firm meat with less fat, but here, it is a fatty belly chashu. The basic ramen comes with 2 slices, while the Chashu Ramen comes with 6 slices. The spicy pickled mustard greens were quite spicy. Just like the logo, it was a bit "S" (laughs) Fukui Ramen. It's a taste that some people will get hooked on. As evidence, even after the busy lunchtime, there were still a few customers trickling in. While there is no designated parking, you can park in the space in front of the shop.【Shop Name】s Fukui Ramen (Formerly Dozen Fukui Ramen)【Address】1-35 Michizen, Naka-gawa-cho, Chikushi-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture【Business Hours】*Please confirm【Regular Holiday】*Please confirmCheck out the blog article with many images of the menu and more♪【Hakata Onna Bushi.】A bit "S"!
