I went to a newly opened restaurant called "Kairikiya" in the neighborhood because there was a long line. I ordered the popular No.1 menu item, which was the salt tonkotsu ramen, and they recommended getting the rice for free. The rice went well with the ramen as a side dish. The flavors were simple and easy to enjoy, making it a place I can visit regularly.

I visited the local Ramen shop "Motochan Ramen" after a long time. With the redevelopment of Senrioka Station, many old shops near the station have relocated or closed down. It's heartwarming to see a local shop like "Motochan Ramen" still thriving in the neighborhood. It had been so long since my last visit that I couldn't even remember when it was, so I ordered with a fresh perspective. I got the miso ramen in large size and a pork bowl. I appreciated the option to choose from miso, soy sauce, or salt flavors. Despite its appearance, the miso ramen had a surprisingly light taste, making it quite easy to eat. It might be a bit of a letdown for those expecting a richer flavor, but for me, the mild taste was just right. I enjoyed every bite of the ramen and the pork bowl without stopping. Unfortunately, there was no special offer today, but sometimes they have special discounts or promotions, which makes me want to visit again. Another thing I personally appreciated was the ability to pay with PayPay. Overall, it's a place I would recommend for a tasty and satisfying meal.

I went to Motchan for lunch because there aren't many options in the area. I ordered the default ramen with rice since it's free until 9 pm. The tonkotsu ramen was light and easy to eat, suitable for kids too. The noodles were a bit stretchy but fine for adults. Overall, it's a good value ramen, although not something I would go out of my way for.

Today's lunch was at Moto-chan in Senrioka, where I went to eat ramen. I ordered the grilled salt chashu noodles. I had high expectations for the chashu being grilled, but it was disappointing. The soup and noodles were just average. The soup was a light tonkotsu flavor. I felt that it would have been a better ramen if the chashu was better. Thank you for the meal.

~Moto-chan~ 1-12-32 Senrioka, Settsu City, Osaka Prefecture. Toppings are all-you-can-eat, including mushrooms, pickled ginger, seaweed, tempura crumbs, and garlic chips, offering a wide variety. For lunch and until 9 pm, you can get free rice. It's quite filling!
- Delicious Salt Ramen: The noodles are medium thickness straight noodles, and the soup has a rich and robust pork bone flavor. The toppings include pickled mustard greens, green onions, carrots, eggs, and two types of chashu pork, one thick and one thinly sliced. The chashu pork is well seasoned, with a noticeable sweetness. It reminds me a bit of the seasoning in La-Oh ramen.
- Mixed Sticky Ramen: The soup and noodles are the same as the Delicious Salt Ramen. The toppings have one less type of chashu pork. The highlight of this ramen is the sticky texture from the pre-added seaweed, but the strong seaweed flavor didn't quite match well. I've also posted about it on Instagram, so feel free to check it out here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CAOIP_RgdvY/?igshid=vy7khez5vn5n

Around 7:20 PM on March 31, there were no customers at the visited restaurant. It seems like it's not very popular. The shop is run by the owner and two part-time staff. The background music in the shop is nostalgic country music, creating a relaxed atmosphere. One unique feature of the menu is that toppings such as bean sprout namul, wood ear mushrooms, and seaweed are free. There are also condiments like garlic chips, chopped leeks, and tempura bits on the table. Additionally, rice is free when ordering ramen until 9 PM, which is a nice bonus. The ramen arrived about 5 minutes after ordering. It had a tonkotsu base and was mild and delicious, although it lacked a punch. The garlic chips added a nice touch, but I wonder how well they complement the soup. The noodles were about the thickness of Chinese noodles. The chashu pork was well-seasoned and tasty, leaving the best impression overall. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

"Kyushu Ramen Moto-chan" (Sesshu City, Osaka) On this day, it was Customer Appreciation Day, and the special Moto-chan pork bone ramen, normally priced at 720 yen, was on sale for 410 yen. Check out more about Kansai's Jiro-style ramen, Kansai's large portion ramen, and more in the article.

After visiting the clothing stores at Senrioka no Foeru, on the way back, I realized I hadn't been to Motchan's place! Without hesitation, I decided to go there and had the service set meal with tasty soy sauce. The retro-style rich tonkotsu broth consistently stimulates the appetite. Since ramen is my staple food, it was a perfect match for Foeru-san (laughs).

I visited "Moto-chan" in Settsu City, Osaka Prefecture for lunch for the first time. It is about a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Line "Senrioka" Station. The restaurant faces the Osaka Takatsuki Kyoto Line (commonly known as the Industrial Road). I entered the restaurant at noon on a weekday. The interior has 4 tables and a counter, with seating for around 20 people. There were 3 customers in front of me and 2 customers behind me. I ordered the following for 700 yen:
- Special Tonkotsu Umashio Ramen 700 yen
- Kaedama (using a coupon, no charge)
- Rice (complimentary)
With the coupon, you can choose from an extra serving of noodles, kimchi, or flavored egg, but since half an egg is already included, I chose an extra serving of noodles. The ramen was served after a 4-minute wait. The service was efficient.
The Special Tonkotsu Umashio Ramen had a pork bone white soup with medium-thin straight noodles. It came with half an egg, shredded carrots, bean sprouts, green onions, pickled mustard greens, and a small piece of pork chashu. The flavor was not overpowering, more on the lighter side. I personally found it a bit bland, so I added some self-serve garlic chips and garlic miso from the table. The elderly couple running the restaurant provided a pleasant customer service experience, with a gentle approach when taking orders and serving the extra noodles. I hope they continue to do well in this type of restaurant. If it were in my local area, it would be a good option for a late-night ramen after drinking.

I had no motivation and was just lazing around on the internet when I suddenly noticed it was already lunchtime. I was planning to go eat pizza at Senrioka nearby, but then I happened to see the sign of this place and decided to go in without much thought. I sat at the counter and an elderly lady with white hair came to take my order. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen Half Set with Gyoza. After waiting for a while, the food arrived. The Gyoza was a bit small but had a generous amount of filling with a strong garlic flavor. The ramen had a light tonkotsu shoyu broth and the noodles were medium-thin, overall the taste was decent and easy to eat. I wished the Half Set was warmer, and the slightly oily texture bothered me a bit, but the cozy atmosphere made up for it. Thanks to the attentive service, I felt a bit more energized after the meal. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch. Today's lunch: Shoyu Ramen Half Set with Gyoza - 910 yen (possibly with a lunch discount) Parking fee - 100 yen

The cold days have been continuing every day. I went out to eat warm and delicious ramen. It had been a while since I last had it. Drinking the soup warmed me up. When it's cold, nothing beats delicious ramen.

It's great that the toppings are free. The dumplings have sauce and salt, but they are already flavored, so eating them as they are might be the most delicious!
