Located about a 5-minute walk east from the north exit of Teradacho Station on the JR Osaka Loop Line, near the entrance of the Ikuno Motodori Shotengai shopping street, is a Chinese restaurant. The interior of the restaurant consists of a kitchen-facing counter with around 10 seats on the first floor, and about 20 table seats on the second floor, totaling around 30 seats. This time, I decided to try their popular "Champon" (750 yen). Upon ordering, the seasoned chef skillfully prepared the noodles in a boiling pot. Without much wait, the dish was served with a caution to be careful due to its hot temperature. The slightly dark-colored soup was filled with plenty of vegetables, seafood, and pork, with beaten eggs mixed into the soup. I have never seen Champon with beaten eggs before. The thickened soup seemed indeed hot. I cautiously slurped the soup with a ladle, and it was definitely hot! After blowing on it again, I tasted the spicy and garlicky flavor, which was quite hearty and satisfying. The noodles were the typical slightly chewy Chinese noodles found in Chinese restaurants. They soaked up the thick soup, and despite being hot, they still had a good texture. The ingredients included shrimp, squid, pork, as well as cabbage, bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, carrots, and more. With plenty of ingredients, it seemed quite nutritious. While different from Nagasaki-style Champon, this version was delicious in its own right. Despite being a casual Chinese restaurant, the quality of the food here is remarkably high. I believe this is one of the top restaurants in Teradacho.
