【2011/10/28-30】2-night stay series Osaka cannot be talked about without mentioning Hotel Kikuei. To my surprise, I found a review from a previous visitor. Hello everyone, I hope this review will be helpful to you. In search of a single room accommodation for the Osaka Marathon, I browsed through "Jalan". Among the many hotels and inns, I chose this hotel based on the average of price, location, and reviews in September. ● Price: 2 nights without meals for 8,760 yen (you can request breakfast at the front desk on Monday morning, and it will be complimentary) ● Location: 5 minutes walk from Namba South Exit ● Reviews: The building is old but has a sense of cleanliness, and the service including the front desk is good. Without hesitation, I made a reservation and checked in on the day. The entrance, which I heard was a bit difficult to find, was actually easy to locate, bringing relief (opposite Takashimaya East Annex, next to the lottery ticket booth, with a sign and entrance). When checking in, I requested breakfast for the morning after the race, and they kindly agreed (no additional charge on weekdays, lucky!). There was a small refrigerator, and surprisingly, the upper part could also be used for freezing, which was very useful for icing after the race. The breakfast the morning after the race included toast, omelette, sausage, salad, banana, tomato juice, orange juice, hot coffee, and there may be some items missing. The hot items were hot, and the drinks were nicely chilled. The lineup was impressive for something complimentary, and the chef's smile (a mother in her 40s) made me feel rejuvenated. This hotel seems to be family-run, and everyone's friendly attitude made my stay very pleasant. I can understand why many businessmen are repeat guests who stay multiple nights. If by any chance I win the Osaka Marathon in the future, I would definitely want to stay here again.
