A local reviewer recommended this udon restaurant, so I decided to visit in place of them as they found it closed on their visit. It had been about 7 years since my last visit, and this was my third time here. I resisted the urge to order a unique menu item and instead opted for the Tori Tamaten Udon for 880 yen (tax included). The udon noodles were slightly thin and had a good stretch to them. The tempura was the most memorable part for me, with a light and crispy batter and a tender texture, especially the chicken tempura. I found that the warm broth udon was more flavorful and enjoyable compared to the cold version. Overall, the udon had a clear and delicious taste. It was a satisfying meal.

Even though it's known for udon and soba, we opted for a dish without noodles - the leek and egg dish♪ Visited on September 19th at "Menya Sougetsu." We sat at the counter facing the wall and ordered some small dishes to go with our drinks. We got a small bottle of Asahi Super Dry beer for 500 yen and decided to try the leek and egg dish since the egg portion in the rolled omelette was generous. It was a light and tasty dish with plenty of broth, a perfect match for the cold beer. The half-chikuwa tempura and pickles were also delicious and refined in flavor. We thought about ordering some sake too, but after a filling lunch with vegetables and multigrain rice, we decided to keep it light this time. I went around 1 pm. I ordered the Toridama Bukkake Udon set, which came with a large chicken tempura, egg tempura, and shiso leaf tempura on top of the udon, along with a choice of side dish: yakitori rice, tamago kake gohan, or tororo gohan. I chose the yakitori rice, which was delicious with plenty of shimeji mushrooms. The restaurant was almost full, so I ordered a small bottle of beer for 500 yen while waiting. The udon was chewy and the bukkake broth was tasty, pairing well with the tempura. This set was affordable and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Udon restaurant located in the shopping street in front of Minami-hama Funabashi Station. I went there for lunch at 12:50, expecting it to be crowded, but surprisingly it was not busy. I was seated at the counter. Due to the intense heat, I ended up choosing cold udon. I ordered the top menu item, Tori Tamaten Bukkake Udon. It arrived in just 4 minutes, quite fast. It had 3 pieces of Tori Tempura and Tamago Tempura on top, very generous in portion. I moved the tempura aside and started eating the udon. Huh? It's not cold. The tempura was hot and warming up the udon. I quickly moved the tempura to the side, as the bottom part of the udon was cold and I didn't want it to warm up. The thickness of the udon was normal, with a good chewiness, and the broth had a flavorful dashi taste, which was delicious but slightly disappointing. There was a note saying they focus on the broth, so I'll try hot udon next time. Thank you for the meal.

Well, considering I've been working 12-hour shifts almost every day due to short staffing, I think it's okay to have a 3-day break once in a while. Actually, on the way back from work the day before, I took a break at a convenience store and found out that there was a restaurant called Soyuzuki nearby. I had the time and the appetite, so I decided to go the next day. I took the subway from Nihonbashi to Tennoji and transferred to the Nankai line to Konohama. It's been a while since I last visited Konohama, back in October last year. The croquettes in the shopping street here are really delicious (laughs). Going back to the story, the restaurant is located in the shopping street in front of the station. There were 2 people waiting outside when I arrived. It seemed like they didn't use a reservation system, so I waited outside the shop. It took about 10 minutes until we could enter. Finally, we got inside. I had already decided what to order, so I went for the Tori Tamaten Bukkake with extra noodles, Chikuwa Ten, and the Takikomi Gohan set. After a short wait, the food was served. The broth was dark and rich in flavor. The broth had a good balance of umami and seasoning. Unlike the Bukkake I had the day before, this one had a less sweet broth. The udon noodles were the chewy type, which was good, but unfortunately, they weren't rinsed properly with cold water, so the noodles were warm. The chicken tempura had a crispy coating and the meat was very tender and juicy, but... unfortunately, there was a tough string in the last piece. The chikuwa tempura was delicious with every bite, and the egg tempura had a creamy yolk. The Takikomi Gohan was lightly seasoned and had a nice aroma, a gentle flavor that complemented the udon well. The taste was not bad, but there were some issues with the preparation... I understand that they were busy, but it's not ideal to neglect certain steps. Other restaurants manage to do it even when they're busy. Overall, the udon was to my liking, but there were some disappointing aspects.

When I searched for a delicious restaurant near Konohama station while visiting the Tezukayama rakugo theater, this place came up. According to the reviews, the toritama tenbukkake is popular, but I love the large and crispy chikuwa tempura, so I chose the chikutama tenbukkake for 850 yen. My family chose the toritama tenbukkake for 880 yen. Both were cold udon noodles. The chikuwa tempura was so delicious and satisfying that I didn't mind that the noodles weren't very cold. The noodles had a good texture and were quite filling. Overall, I was very satisfied, even though it's an udon restaurant (my family prefers colder noodles).

Located in a stylish shopping street that is not easily accessible by car... I ordered Bukkake and Kitsune. Kitsune had soft medium noodles with sweet fried tofu and a gentle dashi broth, giving it a taste of the old town. Bukkake intentionally leaves the noodles slightly loose, retaining the aroma, so it feels somewhat lukewarm, but it is delicious with a smooth texture and a nice fragrance. The fried food is big and crunchy, giving off a local charm that is loved by the community.

Visited on Saturday at 5:55 pm. When I arrived, there were no other customers. Later, two groups of regulars came in. It took about 12-13 minutes until the food was served. The appearance was not impressive. The chicken tempura seemed to be made from breast meat, thin and not juicy. The tempura with vegetables was okay. The noodles had a decent firmness and the portion size was good. However, it felt like they didn't close the noodles properly, as they were not cold as ordered. There were many areas where they felt warm or lukewarm. It was more like inconsistency in temperature rather than intentionally light closing. What do you think about this?

Today was so hot, too hot ( ꒪Д꒪)アァ··· When it's this hot, how about some chilled udon noodles? So, I hopped on Q-chan and headed towards Konohama. Let's go٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و I parked Q-chan at a certain place and walked in. We entered around 1:10 PM and there was a turnover of customers - 1, 1, 1 in front of us, and 2, 3, 1, 1 behind us, all trying to place their orders at the same time (lol). The young staff didn't respond even though they were called multiple times, and when they finally came, they went to serve a group of 3 first. The other customer got upset and left ( •᷄ὤ•᷅). For our order, my wife got the Sansetsu Set with bukkake cold udon and extra rice, while I got the Toriten Tamago bukkake cold udon with extra noodles, totaling 2120 yen٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و We got our food in about 15 minutes. Wow, it looked so delicious (´ω`), but both the udon and the broth were lukewarm, probably because of the rush of orders. The noodles weren't going down quickly due to the large portion, and they were lukewarm, making it a bit boring. They really need to serve it properly chilled with cold water and ice. It's sloppy work if they don't. It's a shame because the udon was delicious last time. It's a popular shop with long lines, but it's a waste. Thanks for the meal.

Sometimes, I was looking at Tabelog (a restaurant review website) and found a popular udon shop in my local area. So, I decided to go check it out. The shop is located in a shopping street in front of the Kombanwa station. Inside, there is a counter on the right and table seats on the left. The atmosphere is warm and cozy with wood accents. I ordered the following: - Chicken and tempura udon set - Shrimp tempura (topping) - Fish cake tempura (topping) - Wagyu beef (topping) You can choose from 3 types of rice toppings: 1. Takikomi (mixed rice) 2. Tamagokake (rice with raw egg) 3. Tororogake (rice with grated yam) I chose option 2. After a few minutes of waiting, the food arrived. I may have added too many toppings because I couldn't see the udon. The tempura was crispy and delicious, and the Wagyu beef was tender and flavorful. The udon itself was chewy with a great texture, and it paired perfectly with the broth. It was so delicious that it brought tears to my eyes. The takikomi rice had a nostalgic and gentle flavor. As I was leaving, I heard what I assume was the owner from the kitchen saying "Thank you very much" in a very pleasant tone. I left the restaurant feeling extremely satisfied. I went to a nearby restaurant called "Sotsuki"♪♢ I had the Niku Tori Tempura Udon, which was cold and refreshing. The sweet and savory simmered beef was delicious as always♡ With the half-cooked egg tempura, I also got to enjoy the taste of sukiyaki... so happy❤️♢ I had the Ume Oroshi Udon with Ebi Tempura topping. I wanted to eat dinner on my way back from touring, so I searched on Tabelog. It was perfect weather for touring, so I wanted something refreshing! I searched for udon and found the number one spot from my current location. With 100 reviews, it's impossible to go wrong. I visited around 2:00 PM. It was a bit hard to find since it was in a shopping street. When I arrived at the storefront, as someone with experience on Tabelog, I could tell right away that this was a delicious restaurant! I went in and ordered the recommended chicken tempura set, but after reconsidering my dinner plans, I changed it to the Satsuki set. They kindly accepted my request for the change, and I'm grateful for that! The udon they served was incredibly delicious, with a wonderful flavor of wheat. From the notices in the restaurant, it seems like they really focus on serving warm udon! I look forward to revisiting to try the warm udon and sake next time. Thank you for the meal. I arrived a little early at "Menya Sotsuki" in Konohana-ku, Konohama, so I had time to look at the felt crafts of "Kcowbow" and take photos of the menu displayed outside the restaurant. When it opened at the scheduled time of 5:00 pm, I enjoyed the "Owner's Whim Trio" and other recommended dishes like "Yakimemma," "Spicy Tofu," and "Koshiabura Tempura." The sake was poured skillfully by the waitress. I also tried the "Immoral Potato Salad," "Dashi Rolled Omelette," and "Aburaage from Tochi," all recommended by the owner. I ended my meal with hot sake and cooked rice. The soba noodles I had for dessert were the "Spicy Daikon Oroshi Soba," which had a generous amount of spicy daikon radish on top. It was delicious, with a great texture and refreshing taste. Overall, it was a fantastic meal at "Menya Sotsuki" in Osaka.

Visited on the night of April 16th. I went by car, but be careful as Google Maps guides you into the shopping street where cars are not allowed. The laughing udon noodles are thin and slightly soft. The clear broth had a very refined taste, which I felt matched well with the thin noodles. The egg rice also paired nicely, with a delicious broth that didn't overpower the richness and smoothness of the egg. I ordered the "Sogetsu Set," which included egg tempura, 4 pieces of chicken tempura, and egg rice. The portion was decent and I left feeling satisfied.

For lunch on this day, I went to "Menya Sotsuki" to eat udon noodles. The restaurant is located just a 1-2 minute walk from the Nankai Electric Railway Konohama Station West Exit, in the Konohama Station Shopping Arcade. I arrived a little before the opening time, and they opened at 11:30 am. The seating consists of 6 counter seats and about 5 tables for 2 people each. I was seated at the counter. I ordered the recommended classic dish, "Chikuten Kitsune" udon noodles with broth on the side. It took about 10 minutes for the udon to arrive. The noodles are made with domestic flour, freshly made and cooked. They were smooth, chewy, and had a good firm texture, very delicious. The toppings included fried tofu, fish cake tempura, and seaweed. The fried tofu was sweet and tasty. The fish cake tempura was crispy on the outside and chewy inside. I visited for lunch on a weekday, and it seemed like a local favorite spot. They even offered free baby udon. Thank you for the meal!
