The other day, I saw the Tenjin branch of Kisuiran on TV and felt like going there for the first time in a while, so I stopped by on my way back from shopping in Tenjin. This time, I didn't go for lunch, as I was off work, so I went to the restaurant for a daytime drink. However, I was tempted by the all-you-can-eat "Squid Mentaiko" menu, but I ended up ordering a draft beer and sesame mackerel instead! The mackerel was so fresh and delicious! Oh, I also feel like having some sake now. They seem to have sushi set meals, nigiri sushi, hand-rolled sushi, and thin rolls now. Sushi izakayas are popular these days. Today I went to a seafood izakaya that also serves lunch. I decided to try it out since I was nearby. The restaurant had counter seats and table seats, with a decent number of seats available. Customers ranged from individuals to groups, and there was a variety of people due to the location. The place seemed to be popular as customers kept coming in one after another. Orders were placed using a touch panel system. I chose the "Choose Your Side Dish Set" where I could pick my favorites. I selected yellowtail sashimi and assorted tempura. The set came with a small side dish, pickles, squid mentaiko, rice, and miso soup. The squid mentaiko was all-you-can-eat, and you could get free refills of rice and miso soup. Other options for sashimi included today's assorted sashimi, sea bream sashimi, tuna sashimi, salmon sashimi, sea bream with sesame dressing, and yellowtail with sesame dressing. Side dish choices were horse mackerel fry, salted mackerel, simmered fish, chicken karaage, and chicken nanban. The yellowtail sashimi was delicious with a nice firm texture indicating good freshness. The tempura was crispy, especially the shrimp which was juicy, and the smelt had a plump texture. The squid mentaiko was also tasty, with just the right amount of spiciness that went well with the rice. It could even be a standalone dish. I enjoyed the meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

Today we had lunch at a restaurant. I ordered the Tenkara Set Meal (1,790 yen) and my partner chose the Set Meal with 2 side dishes (1,790 yen). We ordered using a touch panel. The rice, miso soup, and squid mentaiko were all you can eat. It was easy to order more using the touch panel. My partner even got a second helping of rice. The Hakata branch had unlimited mentaiko, but at this SoraSute branch, it was unlimited squid mentaiko. Personally, I prefer the squid mentaiko.

The idea of unlimited squid mentaiko is interesting, but my friend and I came here to drink. We ordered sesame mackerel. It's Fukuoka, after all. When in Fukuoka, people tend to choose dishes like this over sashimi. I'll make up for the squid with squid shumai. The outside is like a silk thread egg made from chicken eggs. As for the mentaiko component... I'll buy some to take home. The bitter gourd was a nice choice because it looked refreshing. I'm glad we got a seat. It was crowded right away. It's common for restaurants around here to have a line. It's indoors, so it's not too bad, though.

Recommended for those who want to eat until they're stuffed!

It had a strong sesame flavor. It was delicious! I can't believe you can eat mackerel sashimi here. I always get a little nervous, but I want to go again.

I came to Fukuoka and decided to visit Kizumaru for mentaiko. They offer a morning set menu, so I was able to make good use of my morning time. You can order using a touch panel and choose the amount of rice and refills, which is convenient. I ordered the salted mackerel set for 850 yen. The mackerel was fatty and juicy. The squid mentaiko had a liquid-like sauce, I would have preferred a bit more chewiness. However, the pickled vegetables and mentaiko are all you can eat, and you can also get refills on rice, so it's a great deal for those who want to eat a lot in the morning!

The menu mentioned that you could get extra servings of squid mentaiko, rice, and miso soup. The pickled vegetables that came with the set meal were delicious.

It's been a while since I visited Salaria. I missed lunch and had a late lunch around 2:30 pm. When I visited after a long time, I found out that the ordering system had changed to a touch panel. There were many fish menu options to choose from! After some hesitation, I decided on the Tempura Set Meal (1690 yen). When you order a set meal, you get unlimited servings of squid mentaiko! It's not just regular mentaiko, but squid mentaiko – very generous! You can have unlimited refills of rice and miso soup, so even if you're really hungry, it's okay! After a short wait, the meal was brought to me. The rice portion was normal size, but it was generously topped. The sashimi was fresh and delicious – salmon, sea bream, and yellowtail, all nice and firm. The tempura included shrimp, squid, smelt, and vegetables, all hot and crispy. And then there was the squid mentaiko! I scooped a lot of it onto the rice from the pot. The firm squid with the spicy mentaiko on rice was irresistibly delicious! The rice, an important part of a set meal, was fluffy and tasty. Considering the contents, I think it's reasonably priced. They also have a morning set meal, which seems to be popular (order stop at 10 am). And of course, you get unlimited squid mentaiko. I hope to come back to try it sometime. I will visit again. It's been a while since I visited Kizumaru. They have upgraded to touch panel ordering system. Despite the price increase, they are doing their best. I ordered 2 drinks (only 1 beer allowed), tempura, edamame, and sashimi for 1500 yen. Tempura used to be not so good, but today it was crispy and delicious. You can enjoy a leisurely solo drink at the counter.

At the Tenjin Solaria Stage, there is a izakaya called "Kisumaru" where you can enjoy unlimited servings of squid mentaiko with your set meal. Rice and miso soup refills are free, making it a popular choice. I visited for breakfast and ordered the sashimi set meal. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, but the only downside was that the rice was not freshly cooked. Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would definitely visit again. The restaurant was full even at 8 am, but the wait was not as long as the Kisumaru branch at JR Hakata Station. I may not have had multiple rice and mentaiko refills like some others, but I still had a satisfying meal.

I woke up early with the intention of starting my day with some morning activities, so I headed to Kizuitei for their morning set. I arrived around 9 o'clock and luckily there was no line! I was seated at a table of my choice and ordered the morning sashimi set using the touch panel. I decided to get extra rice. The rice portion was huge, almost like something out of a manga, and I was worried it might be too much. However, the sashimi was delicious, the miso soup was tasty, and the squid and spicy cod roe made the rice go down easily. I finished everything! Thank you for the meal! It was a great start to my morning.

I visited the donburi izakaya Kisumizumaru at Solaria Stage for breakfast on Saturday, April 8th. Despite being a popular spot at Hakata Station, it was surprisingly empty when I arrived at 8:27 am. I was seated at a small table and ordered the morning set meal, which included options like eel and fresh fish ochazuke, sashimi, salted mackerel, raw egg, natto, and more, all served with rice and miso soup. I ordered the raw egg set meal using a tablet, but there was a strange issue with the order not going through. It turned out I needed to confirm the amount of rice and whether I wanted a drink or not. After reordering, the food was served in about 8 minutes. The rice, raw egg, simmered hijiki seaweed, cold tofu, jarred spicy cod roe, and pickles with mustard greens were all delicious. I could have easily had seconds of the spicy cod roe and mustard greens, but I decided to stick with just one serving. Overall, the meal was satisfying.

I went to the newly opened Kiwamaru restaurant at the 1st floor underground of Hakata Station, which always has long lines, and also tried their breakfast set at the new branch in Solaria Stage Tenjin underground 2nd floor. Surprisingly, there was no line at the Tenjin branch and only about 10 people inside. I ordered the "Morning Sashimi Set" for 950 yen, which had a decent amount of fresh sashimi including sea bream, yellowtail, and salmon. The miso soup was also delicious. I topped my rice with plenty of squid mentaiko, which was amazing. The squid mentaiko, rice, and miso soup were so good that I ended up getting seconds. While the all-you-can-eat mentaiko at the Hakata branch is great, the squid mentaiko at the Tenjin branch is also fantastic. I will definitely go back again.

I went to a restaurant in the Solare Stage underground at Tenjin, starting at 4:00 pm in the evening. They had a happy hour set for 1300 yen at Kizumaru, so I decided to go there. Even at this time, there were quite a few customers. You order using a touch panel system. It's convenient once you get used to it, but it takes a bit of time to understand at first, so it's a bit of a hassle haha. The happy hour set includes 2 drinks (only 1 beer), edamame, sashimi set, and a choice of one dish, which is quite a good deal. However, I remember it used to be 1000 yen for the same set... The food arrived quickly. The edamame was a bit frozen, but the sashimi was nice with 2 pieces each. We chose to share chicken nanban and assorted tempura as the one dish to go with it. We also ordered additional items, which were rolled omelette and red snapper carpaccio. It was a delicious meal.

The morning set meal has been popular at the Hakata branch for a while. The restaurant is spacious with counter seats and many tables. I arrived just before 9:30 am and it was not crowded. - Morning set meal menu available from 7:30 am to 10:30 am (last order at 10:00 am). Orders are placed through a tablet. - I chose the "Raw Egg Set Meal (690 yen including tax)" because the grilled fish was mackerel. It was served in 2-3 minutes. - The "Squid Mentaiko" for all-you-can-eat was delicious with plenty of squid. I didn't add more, but it's nice to have it as all-you-can-eat. - The spicy pickled vegetables were served with the raw egg set meal. - A separate dish was provided for the raw egg set meal, which was thoughtful. - I only had the egg yolk as I don't like white fish. - The tofu and kinpira burdock were good. - The rice and miso soup were delicious and you could get seconds. The young men were getting seconds of rice multiple times. - The squid mentaiko was so tasty that you could be satisfied with just the raw egg. If you add more mentaiko or get seconds of rice, it's quite a good deal.

I have been to this restaurant for lunch and after work a few times, and this time I went for a company drinking party. The company covered the budget for the party, so we indulged in dishes like blowfish sashimi, blowfish tempura, oyster fry, assorted sashimi, and sesame mackerel. I ate to my heart's content. The blowfish sashimi cost around 900 yen per plate, which was surprisingly cheap! The sesame mackerel was firm and the sauce was delicious. The blowfish tempura was also cheap and tasty. After eating fish, I felt like having some grilled chicken, so we moved to the neighboring Takematsu restaurant.

Today, my friend came to Fukuoka to visit, it's been about 4 years. He arrived on a leisurely afternoon flight, so it was almost evening by the time he got here. We went to Kizumaru for dinner, where the squid mentaiko is delicious and they also serve fresh sashimi. We chose a sashimi platter and simmered fish as our main dishes, along with some draft beer. The squid mentaiko was so delicious!! Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the cheese fry as an appetizer. I also didn't miss out on the option to add a sashimi platter to the Happy Sparkling Set, which cost 790 yen. Additionally, I ordered the deep-fried simmered taro for 490 yen. The total came to 2,580 yen. The Happy Sparkling Set offers good value for money and tastes great. The deep-fried simmered taro was also delicious with rich flavors. It might be perfect for a casual drink during shopping.

Many solo diners were taking advantage of the Happy Hour deal. The taste was great for the price, and the cost performance was amazing. I will definitely visit again.
