The Tottori in Nayoro was delicious. The beef tongue was perfect.

The restaurant is famous for being a popular spot where you cannot enter without a reservation in the local area. We enjoyed a slightly luxurious course meal and everything was delicious! The cold noodles at the end were also delicious!

This is my first visit. I was born and raised in Nayoro, and I think there have always been shops here, but it's my first time coming. I've been in Tokyo for almost 10 years now, and this time I came back for the consecutive holidays. I tried to go to another yakiniku restaurant that I've been to a few times, but it was full so I came here instead. The inside of the restaurant is very clean. It's not charcoal-grilled, but it's nice that there's no smoke. There are rooms that look like private rooms, right? I wanted to try the salted beef tripe that I can't find in Tokyo, so I ordered it. I also ordered the trimmed tongue, beef skirt, raw lamb loin, top sirloin, and hormone, all in single servings. We were three people eating, but the portions were quite generous. Each serving had a good amount. Hmm, it's been a while since I had tripe, it's delicious! It has a nice crunchy texture and great flavor. I recommend this. It's a nostalgic taste. I also ordered the cold noodles, which were delicious as well. I got the half size, but it was quite a lot. I don't drink alcohol, so I only drink oolong tea, but even so, it's cheap. In Tokyo, it would definitely be twice the price.

This is a past article, so please forgive me as it is a personal memo. On June 16, 2012 (Sat.), my husband and I decided to start clay shooting together! We got caught up in training sessions (+ exams) and obtaining a gun possession permit, and finally managed to make it to the shooting practice session tomorrow. Since there is a shooting range in Nayoro, we decided to stay overnight the day before to prepare for the morning, and have a hearty dinner to fuel up. We visited Morioke Naengmyeon and Yakiniku Totori. The restaurant seemed to have been started by someone who trained at Totori in Sapporo. The interior of the restaurant is stylish and very clean. Here is a quick overview of the menu. We started with beef tongue for 850 yen, which was cut slightly thick but very tender and seasoned well. We also had salted hormone for 450 yen, which was neatly prepared. The raw lamb loin for 500 yen was also delicious without any gaminess. Don't forget the side dishes of Sanchu for 400 yen and Kimchi for 300 yen. The kimchi had a nice spiciness that added to the flavor. For the main event, we ordered the Wagyu Kalbi MIX for 800 yen, as the higher grade options were sold out, but the mix allowed us to enjoy a variety of cuts. We also couldn't resist ordering the pork kalbi for 500 yen, which was flavorful and juicy. We ended the meal with Yukkejang Kuppa for 700 yen, a favorite of my husband, and I tried the Half Naengmyeon for 500 yen, which I hadn't eaten in over ten years. It was better than I remembered, with plump noodles and a not too sour broth. Overall, we overate again and enjoyed the meal at Totori. Thank you for reading my blog post. I posted a review about "Benibana" before, which is a restaurant located in front of this place on Route 40. In conclusion, this place is "cheap and delicious." I was always intrigued by the word "naengmyeon" (cold noodles) but hesitated to enter because it didn't look like a typical yakiniku restaurant. I ordered the usual kalbi, sagari, tan, and horumon, and the portion size was decent. The thickness of the meat was just right, providing a satisfying meal. I also ordered the cold noodles (medium) for 500 yen, which again was a suitable amount and tasted delicious. I should have come here sooner! From now on, this will be my go-to place for yakiniku. The only disappointing thing was that the regular rice portion was a bit small and it was served on a plate. But the delicious meat made up for it.
