"I have often heard the name 'Ramen Raizou,' a pork bone ramen restaurant with three locations in Fukuoka. Finally, I had the opportunity to visit the restaurant the other day! Despite the misleading title, which may make you think that the kimchi is recommended, the ramen was delicious and just to my liking, and the side dish of fried rice was also tasty! However, as someone who is weak to the word 'service,' the most memorable thing for me was that the delicious kimchi was complimentary, so I chose this title haha. Let me introduce you to 'Ramen Raizou,' please! This time, I visited the Morooka branch. The location of the restaurant is Morooka, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. It is located along the Chikushi Street, which has been increasingly featured in my blog recently. There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant, so even those coming by car can visit with peace of mind. In addition, it is also accessible by Nishitetsu bus, making it convenient for bus users. The restaurant's prominent red signage makes it easy to spot. At first glance, your eyes will be drawn to it, so it should be easy to find. Upon arriving at the restaurant, there was a line of customers, so I waited behind them. The fact that there is a line indicates that the taste is reliable. I had high expectations. The main dish at the restaurant is pork bone ramen, with classic items like fried rice, gyoza, and karaage also available. Of course, they offer extra noodles, and even half servings. Surprisingly, there don't seem to be any set menus. After waiting for about 5 minutes, I entered the restaurant. As soon as you enter, there is a ticket machine where you make your purchase before taking your seat. I purchased the 'Super Tamachan,' a pork bone ramen with chashu, egg, and seaweed, and the 'Chara Set' which includes a mini fried rice with karaage. I also requested firm noodles. The restaurant has three 4-seater tables and a counter, with a limited number of seats. Therefore, on this day, I shared a table with other customers. Sharing a table at a ramen restaurant brings back nostalgic feelings. I reminisced about the days when I used to do this often during my student days. It seems to be the style of this restaurant. I noticed that sharing tables was common among other customers as well. Next to the seats, there are additional menus for ordering more items, as well as alcohol and appetizers. If you want to order more, it seems that cash is also accepted. Additionally, like many ramen restaurants, they provide gyoza sauce, chili oil, and ramen sauce. Of course, there is also the classic spicy pickled mustard greens that are common in Hakata pork bone ramen. Furthermore, in the fridge next to the counter, there is this kimchi. It's amazing that this delicious kimchi is complimentary. I couldn't resist trying it while waiting for the ramen - it had just the right amount of spiciness. With this, I could easily eat a bowl of rice. Is it really okay to provide this for free? That's how delicious it was haha. Shortly after, the ordered ramen and fried rice arrived. The ramen had a rich soup with floating fat, typical of pork bone ramen. Although there was almost no hint of the unique smell of pork bone, the soup was rich enough to have fat floating on top. Trying the noodles, they were thin straight noodles. However, the taste of the ramen was pleasantly mild. It was delicious! This ramen would be perfect as a finishing touch after drinking. I was satisfied. The toppings were well-balanced and tasty. Of course, I had to get an extra serving of noodles. I paid in cash to the staff and added an extra serving of noodles. Then, the Chara Set. It consisted of a half fried rice and two pieces of karaage - a delightful side dish. The fried rice had a simple ingredients and seasoning, but it was simply delicious! The accompanying karaage was also freshly fried and tasty. Overall, the taste exceeded my expectations. I also ordered an extra serving of noodles. Adding pickled mustard greens changed the flavor, making it even better! Additionally, my wife had the 'Black Ramen,' a rich pork bone ramen with garlic-infused ma-yu (burnt garlic oil). As expected from a ramen restaurant with three locations in Fukuoka, 'Ramen Raizou' offers good value for money, and the best part was the complimentary kimchi! The restaurant is small, so sharing tables is unavoidable in these times, but the taste was satisfying, so it's all good haha. I will definitely visit again."
