This is "Robata Uosuke" located on the first floor of Hakata Station, in the Horoyoi Yokocho. I had some time before my flight back to Miyazaki, so I went for a standing drink with my colleagues. The Horoyoi Yokocho was already crowded even though it was before 6 pm. We finally found a spot to drink and started with a draft beer toast. There were a few appetizers available, and I chose the simmered sardines, which were soft and delicious. Everything in this restaurant is priced at 500 yen, which is very straightforward and convenient. I tried to order the "Goma Saba," but it was sold out, so I got the "Goma Buri" instead, which was also delicious. We switched from beer to highball, and one of my colleagues ordered the "Mega Highball," which was huge. We also ordered edamame and fried squid legs, which were tasty. We ended the one-hour drinking session with shochu. It was a very enjoyable time. The sesame sauce went surprisingly well with the fatty buri, which was a new discovery for me.

The fifth meal in Hakata is at Uosuke in Daimaru, directly connected to Hakata Station. I ordered a beer and checked the menu. I decided to try the sesame mackerel, a must-try in Hakata, and the restaurant's specialty, rare tuna katsu. The taste was okay, not bad. I had a beer, followed by two glasses of shochu, and then left. When I saw the bill, I felt it was a bit higher than I expected, but oh well. I paid and left without a thank you. A bit disappointing, hmm.

From today, I am on a business trip to a certain island in Nagasaki Prefecture from Fukuoka Prefecture for two nights and three days. I had a meeting in Osaka until the afternoon, then took the 3 pm bullet train for the trip. Last month, I couldn't eat "gomasaba" during my Fukuoka business trip, so this time I aimed for it. On the bullet train, I researched on "Tabelog" and chose "Uosuke" for dinner! Started with barley shochu with water and the long-awaited "gomasaba" - delicious as expected. Next, I had sweet potato shochu on the rocks and "grilled conger eel" - so delicious! My stomach is now full and satisfied.

In April 2023, during a business trip to Fukuoka, I visited a standing bar called Yokatai at Deitos store for a quick dinner and some bottled beer. However, I wasn't satisfied with just that. I wandered around Deitos and came across this place that caught my eye. I had tried to visit once before, but it was full. I tried again and managed to get in after waiting for a bit. - Appetizer at 18:33: It was simmered meatballs, which were delicious. - Kita-ya at 18:36 for 660 yen: I started with a bottle of beer. - Goma-saba at 18:43 for 880 yen: A Fukuoka specialty that I couldn't miss out on. It was a bit pricey, but the mackerel soaked in sweet soy sauce was delicious with a refreshing touch of wasabi. - Uosuke Choyomori at 18:44 for 550 yen: A special limited dish that I couldn't resist. It included three types of sashimi - amberjack, yellowtail, and salmon. It was a nice addition to the meal. - Tanaka Rokugo at 19:00 for 770 yen: I ordered this local Fukuoka sake to accompany the fish. Overall, I was satisfied with the meal.

On this day, I participated in a sake tasting event held in front of Hakata Station and enjoyed paid tastings. My mother-in-law suggested going to this event, so I am grateful. I had about three cups and got a little tipsy, then stumbled upon this restaurant. It's a seafood izakaya where each dish is basically 500 yen, but assortments cost more. I was pleased with the reasonable pricing. I enjoyed the sashimi assortment, simmered kue (a type of fish), and simmered spear squid. The alcohol intake was low, so it only cost around 7,000 yen for three people. Thank you for the meal.

I was grateful for the atmosphere where I could easily dine alone. The small seafood bowl was delicious and the size was just right! The three appetizers were affordable yet had a good amount of volume, which made me happy. This new find was a big hit after a long time! I will definitely go again! The staff at the restaurant were friendly and very nice!!

Before heading back to the airport, I met up with an old friend at Hakata Station. I bought some "Torimon" as requested by a colleague, and since I had some time to spare, we went to Deitos. We enjoyed some yakko tofu and a sashimi platter while catching up on each other's lives. The white fish was surprisingly delicious, and the marinated dishes had a rich flavor. It wasn't super cheap, but it was good enough for a casual drink. We started talking about our health issues, making us realize how we've aged. The lunchtime drinking area at Deitos was quite crowded.

I don't like it when drunk people come in at 22:30 on a Sunday, with last order at 23:00. Sorry, but I don't remember much from my last visit, but I think this place is known for its sashimi. The other dishes seemed a bit lacking. Thank you for the meal.

Hakata Station has a lot of easy-to-drink bars like Horoyoi Street and Momocho Yokocho, so I tend to stop by there often. This time, I popped in for a quick visit. There were many people drinking even in the early afternoon, and the table seats were full, so I was seated at the counter. The complimentary dish was marinated mackerel, I think? As the name suggests, there are many seafood-based dishes on the menu. I ordered a sashimi platter and rare tuna cutlet. Since I hadn't eaten any lucky New Year's foods at home, I also ordered dried blowfish and crab sushi. I didn't eat these at home, so I was happy to have them here, even if they were only available for a limited time. They seemed to have a wide selection of shochu and sake. I might come back again for some sake (^。^) Thank you for the meal.

While waiting for a friend at Hakata Station with 2 hours to spare, I ended up wandering around the area and stumbled upon a cozy izakaya. I couldn't resist and went in! I ordered takoyaki, fried oysters, and made a toast with a highball. Before I knew it, I had already had 3 highballs.

Having a daytime drink at Hakata Station. In that case, Hakata Horoyoi Street inside the station is convenient. With a large number of shops, you can enjoy it no matter how many times you come. This time, I went to this restaurant. As it is a store directly managed by Nagahama Fresh Fish Wholesaler, it is a seafood-focused restaurant. Osuwa (440 yen), Hakata Koyoi (440 yen), Otoshi (220 yen). When drinking in Hakata, shochu is a must, right? I had barley and sweet potato shochu with hot water. Uosuke Choimori (550 yen) is a sashimi assortment limited to one person. In Tokyo, a 500 yen sashimi assortment tends to be quite disappointing, but this content for 550 yen is quite reasonable. White-grilled conger eel (660 yen) grilled in two ways. First, the conger eel. It is eaten with wasabi soy sauce due to being white-grilled. It's okay. Grilled yellowtail collar with salt (660 yen) grilled on both sides quite well. The flesh is quite packed, and there is a satisfying feeling unique to the collar part. It's a light daytime drinking, but it's nice to be able to have daytime drinks in Hakata Station.

I stopped by at the end of a business trip. It was a restaurant with a wide variety of delicious seafood dishes. We left the menu choice to the staff and ordered a variety of dishes. The seafood mapo tofu, fried dishes, and a platter of fresh sashimi were all excellent. If you want to toast with a seafood menu at a station, this is definitely the right place. Thank you for the meal! Drink record: 1st glass: draft beer 2nd glass: Hinata Natsu highball (Miyazaki) 3rd glass: Kabosu highball (Oita) Enjoyed the regional highball from Kyushu! You can order it for an additional 110 yen on top of a regular highball!

At Hakata Station, with plenty of time before my flight, I decided to check out Hakata Horoyoi Street. There are many delicious fish restaurants, but towards the back is Nagahama Fresh Fish Wholesale Directly Operated Store "Kakuda Uotarou." The interior is small but filled with tables, giving it a lively atmosphere. It feels like a pop-up shop run by Kakuda. Their specialty dish is displayed on a signboard. During Happy Hour, you can get a highball for only 100 yen! First, we ordered the Uosuke assorted sashimi for 1,100 yen. It includes seven different types of white fish, which were all fresh and delicious. The tuna katsu rare is a must-try and absolutely delicious! Another Hakata specialty is the Hakata Gomosaba, which was also very tasty. They use high-quality frozen fish, so there's no need to worry about Anisakis. The anago grilled with salt and the fried anglerfish were both crispy and flavorful. With four people, we spent around 1,000 yen each. Hakata is truly the best!

I revisited for dinner. When in Fukuoka at this time of year, I must have the sesame mackerel. I ordered the sesame mackerel and sake (Tanaka Rokugo) for a total of around 1600 yen. Despite some concerns about it being raw, my cravings won out. It felt like a young couple's love affair♡. ... Anyway, it was delicious.

I received: - Hakata Goma Saba for 880 yen - Seared mackerel? yen - Oden? yen *Including tax, many items missing from the memo Inside Deitos at Hakata Station, there is an izakaya. It's a good place to stop by on the way home from commuting by train. I had a drink and some food, spending about 2500 yen alone. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

On Saturday during lunchtime, I was drawn in by the sign for a sashimi platter and decided to visit. I ordered the "Uosuke Mori" sashimi platter along with a small beer. - The appetizer was pork kimchi, which was average in taste. - The sashimi platter was a luxurious 7-piece assortment including salmon, amberjack, yellowtail, and sea bream, among others. Each type of fish came with 2 slices. The taste was decent for the price, with sweet and tasty sashimi soy sauce and toppings like seaweed and shiso leaves. However, there were some scales mixed in and small bones left in some pieces, which was annoying. Some of the wakame seaweed was a bit dry, and overall the quality was not very high. - At a price of ¥2000, it's hard to say if it's cheap or expensive. It's a good choice for those who want to eat a lot of sashimi.

After eating sesame mackerel in front of Hakata Station, I walked back to the station and decided to have a light drink inside the station since I still had some time. I arrived at this shop and started with a toast with a draft beer (it was Premium Malts). My stomach was somewhat full, so I ordered just one dish - cream cheese marinated in soy sauce. It turned out to be a bigger hit than I expected. The combination of cream cheese and a good amount of salt was perfect as a snack. I thought it would go better with sake than beer, so I decided to try a local sake called Mitsui no Kotohuki. It had a very smooth taste. I wanted to have another cup, but considering the pace, I thought it might be dangerous, so I switched to a lemon sour instead. I came in at an odd time, but customers kept coming in and out, so the atmosphere was lively throughout. The staff, mostly young, were all brisk and provided great service. Thank you for the meal!

I visited Robatayaki Uozuke at Hakata Station for the first time for a daytime drink. It was quite crowded, and it seems like the daytime drinking culture has really taken hold in Fukuoka. Speed is important at izakayas! Especially at places where drink service is slow, it can be fatal. In that regard, Uozuke is incredibly speedy! Not only with drinks, but also with food service. Since many people probably stop by for a quick drink before catching the Shinkansen or limited express trains at the station, this speed is truly appreciated. The food was also satisfactory. Thank you for the meal.

I went to a second party and had a few drinks at a standing bar. It was crowded because it was Friday. The tipsy street at Hakata Station Date is lined with various shops, creating a nice Hakata atmosphere. I think there are no bad choices no matter where you go.

I visited at the end of my Fukuoka trip. I had the extravagant assortment of fish at Uosuke, Yariika tempura, and rare tuna cutlet. Finally got to try the sesame mackerel with the extravagant assortment of fish. The rare tuna cutlet was delicious with the miso sauce. The restaurant is located inside Hakata Station. Truly a gourmet city!

The standard menu items are 500 yen each. I had one serving of sashimi, grilled conger eel, potato salad, and fried shiitake mushrooms, all for 500 yen. The taste was so good that I am satisfied with the price. They also have a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, so I end up staying longer. It would be even better if they had ponzu in addition to soy sauce for the sashimi.
