It seems to be loved by the locals as there are many Hawks uniforms, and the menu is extensive with each skewer costing just over 100 yen, making it a good choice when you feel like having some yakitori. However, it's a bit of a walk from Kasuga Station, so it's better to take a bus on rainy days.■EdamameThis is a great starter before the yakitori.■Chicken skinWhen it comes to Fukuoka's yakitori, this is the best at this restaurant. It's so delicious that you'll want to have multiple skewers.■Pork bellyFukuoka is known for its contradiction of "favorite yakitori being pork belly," and this dish is no exception. It's best enjoyed with a bit of saltiness at the beginning.■TsukuneThis is said to be the best match for beer. It's meaty and delicious.■Chicken wingsIf you want to enjoy the chicken itself, go for the chicken wings. The salt seasoning is just right.■Thick tofuI was amazed to find such delicious yakitori menu at Imajiri's Masuda, and this thick tofu was no exception. It also paired well with beer.■OnigiriThis is a satisfying end to the meal with its substantial size. It really satisfied my craving for rice. Thank you for the meal.

I had the 3700 yen course. I was drawn in by the appearance and name of the restaurant, but didn't have high expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious yakitori and motsunabe. I can't compare it to other restaurants in Fukuoka, but I'm grateful for the support in making our enjoyable party.

The river is exquisite!

This was my first visit. In Fukuoka, there are many traditional yakitori restaurants with a Sengoku theme, so I decided to try one that seemed to have a nice name and atmosphere. There is a parking lot in the back, so it's convenient if you have a car. When you enter the restaurant, there is a counter on the left and tatami seating on the right. The tatami seats are popular with families with children, making it a good choice for a family outing to a yakitori restaurant. There is a TV at the entrance showing Hawks games, so enjoying yakitori and beer while watching baseball alone seems like a great idea. I forgot to take a photo of the yakitori, but it was simple and not trendy or high-end, making it perfect to enjoy with beer or shochu. They also have a variety of other dishes like motsunabe and appetizers. It's a restaurant that is suitable for families or individuals. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Yakitori Takajin, located near the air self-defense force base in Kasuga City. The restaurant is quite famous in the area, so I had heard of it before but it was my first time dining there. When I opened the sliding door, there was a shoe rack where I had to take off my shoes before being seated. The interior of the restaurant had a traditional yakitori izakaya atmosphere, which would be welcoming to anyone. I ordered beer, pork belly, chicken skin, cartilage, chicken wings, and sausage. Personally, I prefer yakitori with a light salt seasoning that allows the flavor of the ingredients to shine through, so I found the overall saltiness a bit strong. However, as I continued to drink, it seemed to complement the alcohol well. The portion size was average, and the prices were reasonable for a casual dining experience with friends.

I passed by the store and entered. It said "Yakitori Takajin" so I thought it was a yakitori restaurant. Of course, they have yakitori, but they also have a variety of other izakaya menu items. The inside of the store was quite crowded, which seemed a bit out of place compared to the number of people walking on the street. However, it's understandable given that this area has the highest population density in Fukuoka prefecture. The yakitori tasted average, and some skewers were a bit on the expensive side, but I thought it was to be expected. The selection of shochu was decent. It's a casual place with a lot of customers, so it has a lively atmosphere. If you prioritize taste, it might be better to visit places like Tenjin, Yakuin, or Nishijin.

Recently, there are places that serve burnt yakitori without any concern, but this place is skilled in grilling and offers juicy pork belly and delicious yakitori, as well as recommended dishes like garlic fried rice and salad. It's always quite busy, mainly with families. The table seats are in a sunken kotatsu style, so you can relax comfortably, but it gets full quickly so it's recommended to arrive before 7pm. I go there often, and while there isn't a standout dish, overall I think you'll be satisfied with whatever you order. It's located along Base Street, a 5-minute bus ride (3 stops) from JR Kasuga Station, or a 10-minute walk.

There are tatami seating and counter seating. The counter seats are divided into seats for about two people each, and they are quite comfortable to sit in. There are probably about 10 parking spaces, so it should be easy for people coming from a distance. (There was also a designated driver service) The yakitori menu is varied and reasonably priced. There are also a variety of side dishes and motsunabe (offal hot pot). However, the selection of alcoholic drinks (cocktails) is a bit limited, so it may not be enough for women. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lively and welcoming, making it easy for first-time visitors to enter. The fact that it is open until late at night is also a big plus.

The fried chicken is delicious.
