I moved to Kitami in the year a big earthquake struck Japan. After living there for about a year, I visited a ramen shop for the first time in search of the taste of ramen from Asahikawa where I used to live. It was amazing. It was the taste of Asahikawa. A taste that could compete even in the competitive ramen scene of Asahikawa. I had never been to any of the Koguma Group's shops in Asahikawa, but wow, it was definitely Asahikawa ramen. (I later visited the main Koguma Group shop, and it was also delicious.) Since then, I have been visiting about once a month, but after 5 years, I moved to Abashiri. Still, whenever I had a reason to go to Kitami, I would occasionally visit the shop. Initially, the menu had curry and other items, but they disappeared over time. The fish, pork bone, soy sauce ramen (shown in the photo) has become my favorite. The seaweed is delicious! At some point, they also added fish, pork bone, salt ramen, which was also delicious. I also liked Tanmen, and occasionally had it, but it disappeared from the menu a few years ago. (Is the vegetable ramen with salt essentially the same thing?) Honestly, there are not many customers here. Thanks to that, I always got to sit in the back seat. When the old lady (?) is not there, I get worried. This time, I am moving again from Abashiri. Today is probably my last visit. Today, the old lady was there. I feel relieved. Today, there were about 3 other groups of customers before me. I feel relieved. You guys made a good choice. It's the right one. But because of that, I couldn't sit in my usual seat. But I'm happy when there are many customers. Today, I had the fish, pork bone, soy sauce ramen as usual. It was delicious as always. After finishing the meal, I wanted to express my gratitude for the past 10 years, but the owner was as usual, and I ended up missing the chance to say it. With the usual "Thank you↓ very much↑↑" in the background, I left the shop. If there comes a day when I visit Kitami again, I will definitely come back to this shop. Until that day, please take care of yourselves and continue running the shop. Thank you very much.

Special Miso Ramen This is a menu called "special" where regular ramen is topped with chashu and vegetables. The volume increases and I prefer this one over the regular ramen. The regular ramen has quite a few toppings and is on the lighter side, so even though it's a bit more expensive, it's definitely worth it. Highly recommended!

Preparation was done quickly, and when I started getting ready to leave for the office early, my wife, who usually wakes up at the usual time, jumped up with a surprised look on her face, thinking she had overslept. She then said, "I don't need a bento because I'm going early!" and went back to sleep after feeling relieved. She didn't react much to my actions. In the end, we both went out for lunch and tried a ramen place in Hokkaido. The ramen was good and reasonably priced at 650 yen. The noodles were slightly thicker than what I expected, but still delicious. The soup lacked a bit of mellowness, but overall it was a satisfying meal. We plan to return to try their fish tonkotsu ramen next time.

I have visited almost all the ramen shops in the city, but there was one nearby that I hadn't been to yet. It's actually a place I should have been to before. "Asahikawa Ramen Kitami 1st Store" at 11:30 am. No customers ahead of me. No customers behind me either. It's quite empty for a weekend lunchtime. I sat at the counter and placed my order right away. I had already decided on the "Salt Ramen" for 650 yen. At first glance, it looked quite simple... well, it's kind of old-fashioned. The clear soup had lard floating on it. It was light and tasty. I could easily drink the soup. The noodles were thin and firm, made by "Sato Seimen" as written on the curtain. They had a nice texture and were delicious. The toppings were simple - chashu, menma, and green onions. It was quite tasty. It exceeded my expectations. Sometimes, Asahikawa Ramen is good too. (*^-^*)

I visited the Asahikawa Ramen Kitami 1st branch for the first time! Since the name of the restaurant is easy to understand, I decided to give it a try. It was 2:30 PM and there were no other customers. The staff was also alone. The interior of the restaurant is very well-maintained. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen for 650 yen. It was ready in about 5 minutes. The appearance was exactly like Asahikawa Ramen. Let's dig in. This is truly Asahikawa's Shoyu Ramen. It has a mild soy sauce flavor with a good depth of flavor and umami. The chashu and menma are delicious too. Hmm, I really liked it. It's a simple ramen, but the deliciousness is straightforward. I would like to try the 2nd branch if there is one. Thank you for the meal.

The Fish Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen with a coupon for a large serving + small rice was delicious (๑´ڡ`๑). I was torn between the Fish Tonkotsu Shio and Shoyu, but both are equally delicious. The restaurant is not too crowded, but places like Menya Hikaru and Marufuku Kitami have delicious Tonkotsu Shio and Tonkotsu Shoyu as well. I love this type of noodles, they are delicious. They go well with the soup. I also like the chashu (*´ω`*)

Visited on March 31, 202. I had a bad hangover. At times like this, I crave for some comforting ramen for lunch. So, when it comes to comfort food, it has to be Asahikawa Ramen. There is a shop in Kitami called Asahikawa Ramen 1st Branch, so I decided to give it a try. I visited around lunchtime and it wasn't crowded, so I comfortably sat at a table. I ordered the Ramen Set for 950 yen, which came with soy sauce ramen and half fried rice. A classic choice for a hungover guy like me. The ramen was a gentle soy sauce flavor, the Asahikawa Ramen. The fried rice was also delicious and fluffy. I finished the soup completely (laughs). It really hit the spot for my hangover. Thank you for the meal.

The ramen set for lunchtime only, with a coupon for a large serving. The spicy miso (red miso) ramen and mini fried rice are a bit on the rich side but delicious. The ramen set is a good deal. I thought it would be nice to have a set with ramen, dumplings, and rice or fried rice. They also offer a small ramen for those with smaller appetites. The takeout menu is popular, especially the fried rice. A delicious ramen shop. It's my favorite ramen shop.

The soup has become hot (^o^) Fish tonkotsu salt coupon large serving. The soup is delicious. I tried the sample, but it was even more delicious. There is no strong taste of tonkotsu or fish, and the soup is rich yet light. The noodles are Asahikawa noodles with a low water content, not prone to becoming soggy and delicious. There is also a fried rice set available on weekdays. The fish tonkotsu shoyu and spicy miso (red miso) are also recommended. Many people in Kitami, who like Sapporo noodles, should definitely try this ramen shop.

I have always been curious about the fish and pork bone soy sauce ramen at this restaurant, but I love the miso ramen they have had since long ago so much that I haven't had the chance to try it yet (lol). The pork bone soup is light and elegant, with a subtle aroma of dried fish and bonito, not too strong but rather refined and well-crafted. The chashu is also different from regular ramen, with a satisfyingly thick pork belly chashu that is also very delicious! Maybe because it's a long-time favorite spot, I ended up sticking to the classic menu items, but I'm glad I tried this delicious ramen!

I have a regular craving for the miso ramen from Asahikawa Ramen. Although I sometimes order the soy sauce ramen, the miso ramen has a significantly higher repeat rate. The amount of toppings seems a bit less compared to before, but the taste remains unchanged. I hope this restaurant continues to thrive for a long time!

This is the first store of two stores in Kashiwahigashi-cho, Kitami. There are student discount menus because there are universities and high schools nearby. Spicy miso and fried rice set.

Red miso ramen in large portion with gyoza and small rice. It was a bit salty but the red miso ramen was delicious. I recommend the red miso ramen and the fish and pork bone soy sauce ramen.
