The girls' night out started with one drink and three small appetizers. It was a nice system for 1480 yen. Personally, I liked the chicken liver paste. I hydrated with beer and then switched to white wine by the bottle. Next, I ordered the pig's feet dish. It was not just pig's feet as I had expected, but it also had plenty of vegetables and was delicious. Then came a salmon salad? From this point on, my focus waned... I remember the situation through photos. There was zucchini gratin, a fish and vegetable stir-fry. I finished with dessert and coffee. The total cost was around 8000 yen per person. It's a great place to go for a drink alone after work! The food was delicious, the chef was friendly, and I left satisfied.

The food stall was a bit underwhelming, so I decided to head back to the hotel for some wine. However, on the way, I stopped at this place that caught my eye. They had a trial set which included one drink and three appetizers for 1,480 yen. I chose sparkling wine for my drink, and for the appetizers, I had carrot rapé, fried shrimp spring rolls, and grilled vegetables. Each dish was carefully prepared. The owner, an older man, and the female staff were very friendly. The staff didn't know much about wine yet, so I ordered a glass of white wine as well. There were two options, both Chardonnay, but the difference was unclear, so I went with the cheaper one. The hamburgers cooked on the hot plate looked delicious, and I noticed some regulars who only come in for dessert. I'd like to come back earlier next time.

My coworker took me to a hidden gem-like bar for our second stop. We started with a tasting set of 3 dishes each and a drink. Each dish was carefully crafted and delicious. We then ordered a bottle of wine and the recommended hamburger. As expected, I got drunk.

Today, I visited this place. I have been curious about this French bar in the back alley, KATO-san. I ordered the hamburger and red wine stew. The hamburger, carefully finished with rosé, was delicious! The tenderness of the meat in the red wine stew was truly amazing. Thank you for the meal! :)

A bar in Haruyoshi. I often pass by here, but I had never been curious enough to go in. It has a cozy atmosphere that caught my eye. Today, while wandering around this area, I decided to give it a try. I sat at the counter and looked over the menu. They had a good selection, not just French cuisine, but also some authentic dishes. I tried a few dishes that could be enjoyed with drinks, and the Batikan was delicious. But the highlight was their specialty, the Nougat Glace, which was excellent.

I wanted to try going to a food stall in Fukuoka, but I didn't know that they are mostly closed on Mondays. I randomly made a reservation at this place. I don't know anything about wine, but my wine-loving mother was very impressed. We only ordered a few dishes to snack on, but the red wine-braised beef cheek was incredibly delicious. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and the beef cheek was tender. They went perfectly together. The prices were also reasonable, so the cost performance was great. If this place was near my home, I would definitely visit often. Thank you for the meal!

I was surprised to find a restaurant owned by Chef KATO in the unexpected area of Jouzu Dori. The casual atmosphere of the restaurant made it easy to relax, and the prices were reasonable. My companion, who had never enjoyed foie gras before, found it delicious here. It was a delight to enjoy the chef's cooking once again. I was happy with the 5500 yen course menu I ordered.

This time, I visited French bar KATO located at 5-16-5 Watanabe-dori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. I had been curious about this restaurant for a while, so I finally decided to check it out. The atmosphere was cozy with a counter and table seats, and the owner chef seemed to put a lot of effort into the dishes. There was a large iron plate in front of the counter, which raised my expectations. The recommendations written on the blackboard looked appealing. I started with a glass of draft beer and ordered some dishes: Marinated sardines for 680 yen, Hot pig's foot pate for 1180 yen, Eringi mushrooms with Roquefort cheese sauce for 980 yen, and Spaghetti Napolitan for 980 yen. The dishes were delicious, especially the Eringi mushrooms with Roquefort cheese sauce. I wanted to dip bread in the sauce but forgot to order it. I also had a barrel-aged highball for my drink. I plan to visit this place for the first round next time. They have a sister restaurant in Kiyokawa, and they also serve lunch, so I might try that too. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

Even though you can enjoy it with carbonated water, I bet the dishes would taste even better with wine. I highly recommend trying the pig's feet and nougat glacé. There are plenty of other recommendations as well! (⁠◕⁠ᴗ⁠◕⁠✿⁠)

So, three days after my first visit, I went back to the restaurant with a former colleague. This time, we started with beers instead of the highball we had last time. The amuse-bouche set was divided for the two of us, with marinated sardines, liver pate, and garlic butter sautéed turban shells. The grilled vegetables with olive oil were healthy and delicious. The pig's trotter hot pate we enjoyed last time was served with baguette this time, along with our second bottle of wine. We finished with tender pork cheek stewed in red wine, which was surprisingly tasty. I definitely plan on coming back again!

When it comes to French cuisine, it can feel a bit intimidating and not something you go for often, but on this day I was invited by relatives to visit this place. It used to be located in Akasaka, but moved here a few years ago and is now tucked away a bit off Watanabe Street. Let's enjoy it as a casual bar experience. We started with a Highball and beer to cheers, with the Highball priced at 480 yen for a barrel-filled, straight Highball served in a wine glass without ice. It's a small amount that you can easily drink in one sip... haha. First, we had two sets of appetizers for 960 yen each, with items like prosciutto, salami, and salad. The homemade marinated sardines in olive oil with lemon acidity were really good. I love this kind of dish. After a beer, we moved on to red wine. We had two bottles around 5,000 yen each that night (mostly between the two of us). The owner explained that they have the same pricing whether you drink by the bottle or by the glass. The cheese cutlet had a great flavor and lots of umami, pairing perfectly with the wine. A favorite was the hot pork trotter pate, made from trotter terrine with a crispy skin that provided a great texture. It's full of collagen and seems good for the skin too. The foie gras with spicy honey sauce had a punchy flavor that complemented the richness of the foie gras, making it a great match for the wine. Yeah, sometimes a quick French meal is nice! Oh, by the way, we have a reservation for two next Tuesday at 6:30 PM, so feel free to join us!
