Fried rice with spicy mapo tofu. The mapo tofu was just right in spiciness this time, unlike last time when it was not spicy enough. The fried rice was delicious with a nice texture. It might be a bit off-putting that the kitchen is too visible.

Lunch in July 2023! What should I eat? Ramen or curry? I'm not really hungry today, but I feel like having rice. How about fried rice? So, without even looking at the lunch specials at a busy restaurant, I decided on Tianjin-style fried rice. It was exactly what my stomach was craving! Tianjin-style fried rice for ¥693. It had eggs on top and a crab stick-like topping, maybe imitation crab. The thin soup had a touch of magic salt. The fried rice with egg on top was delicious and easy to eat. I added some chili oil and vinegar halfway through, making it a zero-calorie dish. It was really good! Thank you for the meal! ❤️

From the morning, I saw a commercial and felt like having Chinese food for lunch, so I went to a restaurant in Osaka Station Building 3 basement floor. I ordered the fried rice for 495 yen and added 3 pieces of fried chicken for 352 yen. The fried rice was surprisingly good for the price, and the thinly sliced meat in the fried chicken was delicious when eaten with the salt provided on the table.

I went for lunch a bit late and it was full. It's definitely popular. I wanted to eat gyoza, but I have work later, so I chose the garlic-free gyoza. That way I can eat without worry. The fried rice was a nostalgic taste that I've been eating since my student days. As expected, the food at Osho was consistently delicious.

I went to have lunch alone. It was crowded at lunchtime, so it took some time to get seated. This restaurant offers a special lunch set on weekdays. Since it was Wednesday, I ordered the pork bone soy sauce ramen and fried rice set. I added 110 yen to upgrade the ramen noodles to a large portion.

Tianjin noodles ¥748 including tax. It was my first time visiting. Even though it was the least crowded time before 3 o'clock, the counter was almost full and there was only one empty table. Lately, whenever I go to a ramen shop, I order Tianjin noodles if they are on the menu. The Tianjin noodles at Osho are quite delicious!

I visited this shop located in Osaka Station Front Building No. 3 for a drink during the day. I went around 3 PM on a holiday, and the shop was about 80% full. My aim this time was to try the limited-time menu for February, which was the "Pork Tororo Ramen for 750 yen & Draft Beer for 418 yen". The interior of the shop consists of a counter with about 15 seats in a U-shape and 5 tables for 4 people each, making it a cozy setup. First, I had the draft beer that arrived. It's common sense to have a drink after finishing a meal. After a while, the Pork Tororo Ramen arrived. This Pork Tororo Ramen had both the best and the worst aspects. First, the best part. The pork tororo was like the soft bone in Okinawa soba, incredibly tender. It was so soft that you didn't even need to chew. The meat was also very tender, making my mouth happy. Now, the worst part. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles, which was fine, but the major issue this time was that there were parts of the noodles that were not fully cooked and remained clumped together, making them hard. This is unacceptable to serve to customers! It's like serving undercooked meat. It's clearly a failed dish. I left those clumped parts untouched because they were inedible. How can they charge 750 yen for this? It's definitely a failed dish. Please do something about this, head office. This affects the trust of Gyoza no Ohsho. The shop was about 70-80% full, but the staff seemed overwhelmed and lacked composure. They seemed to have enough staff, but it was concerning. I personally don't think it was even a time when takeout orders were pouring in. I wonder how they handle peak times. This was my first visit, but it was a very disappointing outcome due to the issue with the noodles. I deducted points significantly in the food and service categories. Lastly, a word of advice: please make sure to cook the noodles properly. Thank you for the meal.

I'm in Osaka. In Osaka, there is a place called Kita, Umeda. I found this restaurant in Osaka Station Building No. 2. I missed lunch and decided to check out the building in front of the station. However, many restaurants had already finished serving lunch, so it was hard to decide on a place. I wondered if this place would be okay. When I entered the restaurant, it was almost full, but they quickly cleared a seat for me and I was seated at the counter after a short wait. The staff seemed quite tired, probably due to the crowded restaurant, and the service was minimal. I ordered fried noodles. It took about 7-8 minutes for the fried noodles to arrive. Although there was a slight smell of oil, the fried noodles were delicious. In other Osho restaurants, when you order fried noodles, you can easily find a whole shrimp placed visibly, but it felt like this restaurant forgot to include it. The quail egg was easy to find, though. Compared to the old Osho restaurants, prices have gone up and the ingredients seem to be getting cheaper.

The 3rd building of the Gyoza Club is full of fascinating shops, but I chose to go to Gyoza no Ohsho for a different reason. It was my first time at this restaurant, and since I was alone, I was guided to a seat at the counter. There were also several table seats available. The restaurant was almost full and bustling. When I tried to launch the Gyoza no Ohsho app, the signal was weak at the seat (using au). However, I was able to catch the signal near the entrance. I didn't find any particular original menu items that caught my eye, so I ordered the September Fair menu item of Eggplant Szechuan-style noodles with garlic-free gyoza and almond jelly as a set. I also had a non-alcoholic beer (Dry Zero) and a perfectly sized vegetable stir-fry dish. The stir-fry dish with minced meat and eggplant in a sweet bean sauce base is a must-try, even without noodles. It is delicious even when served over rice. The diced eggplant is in season in late summer. Of course, it goes well with Szechuan-style noodles (Jajangmyeon) or dry mixed noodles. They had garlic-free gyoza in stock, so I made it a Fair set with Dry Zero, enjoying "gyoza and beer" (non-alcoholic). It was delicious. The almond jelly was also soft and enjoyable as a sweet treat. The vegetable stir-fry was also delicious. The staff in the dining area seemed to be of Asian descent. Their Japanese was a bit accented but fluent. I'm not sure if they were from Vietnam, Thailand, or Malaysia. Perhaps there are many foreign customers in Umeda? Global. I successfully got my points and enjoyed the meal. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Wang Shou is a reliable and delicious restaurant at any location. While other nearby restaurants close at 8 pm, this one stays open until 9 pm and is always busy, with a line forming even after 8 pm. However, the small size of the restaurant may be the reason why the staff seem to have multiple roles and often leave timers ringing and tasks unattended. This might have affected the quality of the noodles this time, as they were very soft from the beginning, which was disappointing. Despite that, all the dishes were still tasty. Next time, I'll try ordering the noodles firm.

I bought a Shinkansen ticket at a ticket shop on my way back and decided to have dinner at Gyoza no Ohsho that I found. I ordered fried dumplings and fried rice. I used a discount coupon I received at the end of last year before it expired at the end of this month. I enjoyed the fried dumplings and fried rice, which I hadn't had in a long time.

On my last day of work, I didn't want to just leave quickly, so I stopped by a building near the station for lunch! I had a coupon for a free dumpling with the purchase of two orders, so I was lucky! To celebrate the end of the year, I ordered a large bottle of beer and two orders of dumplings. I noticed that there were only old men like me. I'm treating myself well! The dumplings today were cooked perfectly and delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I couldn't get into the restaurant I wanted to go to because it was full, so I'm killing time here. I'm having garlic extra dumplings and small shrimp tempura as snacks with a Super Dry beer. Garlic extra dumplings have become a hit product born during the coronavirus pandemic. The salt and pepper go well with the small shrimp tempura.

Second stop with gourmet seniors. If it's a building near the station, it has to be Osho. Garlic-filled gyoza, shrimp tempura, and a 633 large bottle. Chinese food and a big bottle go well together! Sprinkle salt on the fried food, shrimp tempura, so delicious! The gyoza with extra garlic is also tasty! I aim to become a member of the Osho Club this year, and even though the seniors paid for it, I still got a stamp! Thank you very much.

I feel like eating dumplings. Specifically, I want the dumplings from Osho. I remember there was a shop nearby! So, as usual, I walked there. The shop is located inside the Osaka Station Building in Umeda. There are multiple shops inside the station building. This time, I went to the 3rd building shop. As soon as I entered the shop, I ordered the dumplings. Because that's what I came for. I couldn't have beer because it was during a state of emergency. Dumplings go well with beer, right? But... it was not possible. So, I had Tianjin rice instead of beer. Dumplings and Tianjin rice make a good combination. I was very satisfied eating plenty of my favorite dumplings and Tianjin rice. I need to go back and eat there again.

I visited Gyoza no Ohsho for a late lunch. It's always lively whenever I go there, which is nice. On this day, I had the garlic-heavy gyoza as part of the lunch special. The lunch special included fried rice, half a ramen (miso), and the garlic-heavy gyoza, all for less than 1000 yen. It was a great deal. Thank you for the meal! ^_^

I conquered the ramen top 100 shops around Fukushima Station, so I decided to try udon this time. Unfortunately, the shop I wanted to visit had been closed during the state of emergency, but it had reopened. However, when I arrived around 7:00 PM, they had run out of noodles. So, I decided to use a coupon at Osho, but I couldn't find the restaurant. After searching, I finally found it on the B1 floor. The restaurant was about 80% full when I arrived at 7:10 PM. I ordered the fried rice set, garlic-infused gyoza, and within about 12 minutes, the ramen and gyoza arrived, followed by the fried rice a minute later. The ramen tasted a bit off, but the fried rice was delicious with a nice texture. The gyoza with extra garlic was particularly tasty. Unfortunately, there were no small dishes for the sauce, and it was a bit inconvenient to pour it directly on the food. Also, there was no water nearby, and I felt that the service at Osho had declined. I used a 250 yen discount coupon and a 7% discount as a premium member, paying 924 yen with iD, and then headed home.

I visited here for the first time in two years. I decided to try it out again by going around the basement floor of the third building. While you can find Morioka-style cold noodles at specialty shops or yakiniku restaurants, when it comes to Chinese cold noodles, Wang Shou seems to be the first place that comes to mind. It's a representative of casual Chinese cuisine that you can easily drop by. This time, the fried rice was also delicious. It can be difficult to choose a place for lunch around here, as there are many restaurants that cater more towards men, but I think I'll want to come back here for cold noodles again within about a month. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the station building for some errands and found that quite a few shops were closed, giving it a lonely atmosphere. Since it was lunchtime, I thought about getting some lunch. Oh, it's Monday so my favorite udon shop is closed. The popular hamburger restaurant has a long line. Oh, I know, I'll go to Osho and try their famous garlic-packed dumplings! Garlic-Intensive Dumplings - ¥297. Fried Rice (Just the right size) - ¥272. The fried rice arrived first! The presentation is a bit sloppy, but the taste is great! Yeah, this is delicious! It's a moist type here. Soon the dumplings arrived... Here they are, the dumplings... The dumplings had a fair complexion and looked elegant. They weren't really well-done, but I wish they were a bit more cooked... I couldn't say it out loud, so I just ate them. The garlic flavor is strong. They are soft and easy to eat without chewing much. The customers on both sides also ordered dumplings, and theirs looked crispy and golden brown. I swallowed the almost melting white dumplings and left the restaurant. That's all for now. Thank you for the meal!

After the third state of emergency declaration in Osaka, the city seems a bit deserted. I had some business to attend to in Umeda, so I ended up there. The atmosphere in Nishi Umeda was like a ghost town. I decided to have lunch at a building near the station. Many restaurants were closed on the first basement floor of the third building, but I aimed for "Ousho." They were not serving alcohol due to restrictions, and that was disappointing. I ordered gyoza (6 pieces per serving) x 3 and even though they didn't have beer, I used a coupon for a free serving when ordering water. The gyoza was delicious and well-cooked. Despite the city being crowded, the staff handled the orders efficiently. I was tempted to try the Tenshin men, but ended up ordering the Gokou version, which was satisfying. I might consider revisiting this restaurant in the future. #Chinese cuisine #6 pieces of gyoza #Ousho #Osaka City
