Hakata 12 was a situation where I really wanted a phone call! So, I visited "Hakata Seafood Uotada" for this review. This restaurant is also known for having long lines, so I did some research based on reviews the day before: - Breakfast is only for guests staying at the Mitsui Garden Hotel - Lunch reservations cannot be made in advance, you need to show a QR code in front of the restaurant on the day of and register via LINE - After registering, you can disperse but need to check the status via LINE and regroup in front of the restaurant when your number is close, then wait to be called - Unconfirmed information: there are photos of QR codes in other reviews, so it might be possible to register in advance before lunch starts at 11:30. However, I couldn't do it the day before. I arrived at the restaurant at 10:20 and got number 51. This means you can register from around 10:00? There were no clear instructions. It wasn't mentioned on the website either. Huh? Other reviews say you could register at 9:00. The explanation at the site says "We don't take lunch reservations, it's first come first serve." This wording can be misleading. From the restaurant's perspective, it might not be considered a reservation but just registration. Anyway, I killed time at a nearby trendy Starbucks for about an hour and finally entered the restaurant at 11:55. Here's what I ordered: - Deluxe Seafood Bowl 2800 yen (+tax) - Lunch Fried Chicken 450 yen (+tax) The Deluxe Seafood Bowl had salmon, ikura, bonito, shrimp, mentaiko, squid, kanpachi, sea urchin, and sea bream, I think? All the sashimi was fresh and delicious. The rice portion was decent and filling. The miso soup was all-you-can-drink, and I had one refill. It had a strong flavor and was delicious. The Lunch Fried Chicken was added because it was said to be delicious in reviews. It was quite large and satisfying to eat. It was simply delicious. This restaurant is famous for its "Mentaiko, Ikura, and Tamagoyaki Bowl," but I had already eaten mentaiko rice before coming here, so it wouldn't be good for my gout. I'll try it next time I visit Hakata. Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation for 18:00. I chose the most popular course for 6600 yen. The all-you-can-drink option was an additional 2200 yen. In addition to the course, I also ordered clams, horse sashimi, and mentaiko. There were a few a la carte dishes available as well. The clams were delicious and not too salty. The all-you-can-drink option included bottled Asahi beer, which was new to me. The Thai-style shabu-shabu was tasty and perfect for winter. The restaurant is affiliated with Toritada. There was a long line, but I think you can only make a reservation for the course. The main reason people were lining up seemed to be for the mentaiko rice. Personally, I don't think Fukuoka locals would wait in line just for that. I overheard that some inbound tourists from country K were waiting in line. When I arrived around 18:00, there were about 20 people lined up before and after me. If you make a reservation for the course, you can avoid waiting in line. Despite the line, the restaurant was quite empty inside. The seats were spacious and comfortable. The restroom was a bit far but clean and separate for men and women.

I visited on a Monday. Since reservations are not accepted, I arrived at 9:30 to get a ticket for the 10 o'clock opening, as recommended by reviews. I waited in front of chairs and tables until 10 o'clock when a QR code was displayed, and I got my ticket through LINE. I was number 4. I waited until the 11:30 opening. There is Canal City Hakata nearby, so I enjoyed my wait time. At 11:30, I entered the restaurant and ordered the egg omelette with salmon roe and mentaiko rice bowl! I was tempted by the salmon roe, but... The restaurant has many seats, and even arriving at 11 o'clock, it surprisingly didn't take long to be seated. The food arrived. It was a delicious luxury. The large shiso leaf on top was great. The salmon roe had a rich taste, and the egg omelette was delicious. The mentaiko was a lot to eat at once, but I enjoyed it luxuriously. There was seaweed sprinkled between the egg and rice. The rice portion was quite big, so it was a bit tough towards the end, but I was happy with the generous amount of ingredients. Miso soup and a small side dish are included. Water is self-serve. The eggplant and minced meat sauce on the small dish were delicious. I also received something like a Big Thunder chocolate sticker. The miso soup is refillable, and you can freely take pickles. Other menu items are also attractive, so I recommend trying them out!

I arrived at the restaurant around 11:00 in the afternoon and there were nearly 100 groups waiting, with a 3-hour wait. I knew it was a popular place, but I didn't expect it to be this crowded. There was a QR code in front of the restaurant where you could sign up through LINE! It was convenient to receive notifications through LINE. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again when I come back to Fukuoka!

I visited on a regular day. This is a very popular shop near Hakata Station. I had done some research in advance, so this time I was able to get a numbered ticket via LINE and enter the shop in the first round. (Around 10 o'clock, a QR code for LINE is displayed near the entrance, so you can scan it and issue a numbered ticket with Matoka.) This time, I ordered a seafood bowl instead of the most common mentaiko dish. (Some parts were changed from sea urchin to crab) It is a luxurious bowl filled with plenty of seafood. You can enjoy a variety of seafood such as large shrimp, salmon, yellowtail, and sea bream all at once, so it is very delicious. There is also mentaiko, shiso leaves, and salmon roe for a little change in taste. Miso soup, pickles, and rice were all you can eat, so it is perfect for those who want to eat a lot! (The rice is vinegared rice at first, and the refill is regular rice) You also get a sticker of the bowl you ordered, so you can enjoy promoting it. The price is not cheap, but the visuals are nice and it was very delicious.

I arrived at the restaurant around 10:10 to make a lunch reservation through LINE starting at 10 o'clock. I got number 19. Since lunch starts at 11:30, I passed the time at a nearby shop. I ordered a salmon and ikura bowl with added mentaiko. The salmon had no fishy taste and was very delicious.

I got my ticket at 9 o'clock and was the first in line. As soon as the store opened, I entered but it was already full. Despite having a low ticket number, my food was brought to me only about 1 minute after ordering! I was surprised by how fast it was! The taste was delicious, and I was able to fully enjoy my sightseeing in Fukuoka.

Located within walking distance from Hakata Station, this popular seafood izakaya in Hakata is a great spot for lunch. It is important to note that breakfast is only available to guests staying at the Mitsui Garden Hotel where the restaurant is located. Additionally, lunch reservations must be made in advance through LINE. Without a reservation, you may end up waiting for up to 70 minutes. The W Mentaiko Ikura Tamago Donburi for ¥2,640 and Mizu Dashikabuse Tea for ¥550 were both delicious choices. Despite originally planning to order the Kyushu Salmon Ikura Donburi, I was swayed by the popularity of the Mentaiko Ikura Tamago Donburi among other diners. The dish was incredibly tasty and satisfying, with unlimited servings of miso soup and pickles adding to the experience. The presentation was also impressive, with the ikura playing a supporting role to the flavorful combination of mentaiko and egg. Most importantly, the portion size was filling. After being turned away twice the previous day, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food on my third attempt. Highly recommended not only for tourists visiting Hakata, but also for locals in Fukuoka.

Fluffy and soft egg omelette topped with Hakata specialty mentaiko and salmon roe bowl. Used for lunch. The photo shows the mentaiko and salmon roe egg omelette bowl ordered. When ordering a dish, you can have unlimited pickles and miso soup. The combination of mentaiko, salmon roe, and egg omelette creates a unique and delicious flavor that was very enjoyable to eat.

I used this restaurant for lunch during my trip to Hakata! I found it on Instagram. I arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes before opening, but I was number 17 in line! I was able to get in on the first round, and my order arrived quickly. The mentaiko ikura tamagoyaki bowl was delicious ❤️ The souvenir stickers were also cute!

I went to the popular Uotan restaurant that was said to have long lines. I woke up early and headed there at 9 am, but found out that they start serving lunch at 11:30 am with a ticket system. I waited at a nearby cafe until they put up the QR code for the tickets, and luckily I was the second person in line. The restaurant is located inside a hotel, so the interior is very clean and nice. The mentaiko ikura tamagoyaki donburi looked just like the ones I saw on Instagram! It was really delicious! The food came out very quickly after ordering, and you can have unlimited refills of miso soup and pickled vegetables. The miso soup was delicious with plenty of ingredients. They also served a piece of fried chicken, but the portion was so large that I couldn't finish it... I definitely want to go back again.

I was drawn in by the appearance and decided to take a break from work to slip in a last-minute lunch order. Even before 2:00 PM, the restaurant was bustling. Without hesitation, I ordered the spicy cod roe, salmon roe, and omelette rice bowl. As a treat for myself, I also had sparkling wine. The taste was a combination of spicy cod roe, omelette, and salmon roe all on one plate (laughs). The idea of serving them all together on one plate was great. It was pretty much as shown in the menu photos, without the usual disappointment of the spicy cod roe being too small. I think it's worth a visit at least once.

I visited this restaurant when I went on a trip to Fukuoka. It's a popular spot on Instagram, so even on a weekday there were a lot of people before opening! I'm glad I went before opening! The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and spacious, and the food was served quickly even though it was full! The dishes are visually stunning and delicious, making me feel like I fully enjoyed Hakata.

Not only mentaiko, but also a generous serving of fish roe! It's so much fish roe that it feels like I've eaten a year's worth, but it was delicious! After being turned away from mentaiko dishes repeatedly, I ended up here. I stayed at Mitsui Garden the night before, so I knew it was popular enough to require a ticket. I registered for a ticket via QR code before opening, and was able to get in with only a 10-person wait. I arrived about 30 minutes before opening, but there was still a line. I ate just before my flight back, then called a taxi to Hakata Station. It's recommended to eat here before catching a flight, as the access is convenient.

On June 20, 2023 (Tuesday), I traveled to Hakata early in the morning for my technical update exam and paper test. Despite drinking a lot last night, I managed to complete the exam somehow and even received some praise for my work. After that, I resumed the unusual journey with Ciel-san. At 12 o'clock, my partner, Ciel-san, the friend we kidnapped last month, and I had lunch together at a restaurant called "Hakata Seafood Uo-ta", which is affiliated with the well-known "Torita" restaurant. We each ordered our favorite lunch menu items, and we also enjoyed some fried chicken and beer together. The dishes were all delicious and satisfying, with generous portions. The ikura and ikura tamagoyaki bowl was especially impressive, and even though I'm not a fan of ikura, I found it delicious. The fried chicken was surprisingly tasty, and the rice and miso soup were also great. Overall, it was a wonderful meal. After lunch, we had planned to go on a drive to Itoshima, but unfortunately, all the rental cars were fully booked. We were left wondering what to do next.

I arrived at the restaurant on Monday morning around 10 o'clock and received a queue ticket, I was about 15th in line. Although the store opens at 11:30, they finished distributing queue tickets before opening. I was seated within 5 minutes of opening. The salmon and ikura, egg yolk, and classic combination were very delicious! They offered free refills for miso soup and pickles.

Traveling to Hakata with my mother! I love eating a hearty breakfast with a focus on Japanese cuisine, so when I searched for a delicious breakfast spot, I found this place. However, no matter how much I searched, I couldn't find a way to make a reservation for breakfast only. It said it was only for hotel guests, but there was some information suggesting that if there was availability, they might let you in. I decided to take a chance because I really wanted to eat here! The day before, I enjoyed fresh squid sashimi and local sake, so I was worried I wouldn't wake up in time for breakfast, but my mother woke me up. This is also a way to show filial piety! I made an effort to arrive at 6 a.m. from my hotel near Chikushi Gate, but I got lost on the way! I had to go back to the station and then set out again after checking the directions. I finally arrived at 6:30, but there was a sign at the entrance saying, "Due to congestion, only hotel guests are allowed to use the facility today." I really wanted to eat there! The sign looked inviting, and the people eating there looked so happy. I hadn't researched other restaurants, so maybe... Could my mother, who is almost 80, make it work if she went in? Would they let her in if an elderly person with a hungry look on her face asked, "Can't we come in?" We were both feeling uneasy, but we couldn't rely on my mother to do the talking. With determination and a last-ditch effort, I asked the staff, "We're not staying at the hotel, so we can't come in, right?" And then they said, "It's fine now, come on in!" Yay! Yay! It was more expensive than for hotel guests, but that didn't matter to me! Right now, there's an early morning special with a chawanmushi included as a bonus, and I got a ticket for that. Seafood for breakfast! Sashimi, mixed sashimi, bread, simmered dishes, tempura, mentaiko - all delicious! The broth was so flavorful! The simmered fish wasn't too strong or too sweet - it was just right! The mentaiko croissant had a double cut with mentaiko inside, so it was a bit salty, but crispy and good. The chawanmushi from the early morning special had plenty of salmon roe on top - so satisfying! Each dish was carefully seasoned, and I left feeling satisfied! Thank you for letting us in.

The food was delicious as shown in the photos. The staff's service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. There were many customers dining alone, making it a trendy spot. I heard you can have seconds of rice, but I was unsure whether to call for it or go to the counter, so a note on that would be helpful. Overall, I was very satisfied with the taste of the food.

Waited for 30 minutes to enter the restaurant for lunch. Ordered the Spicy Cod Roe and Salmon Roe Omelette Rice Bowl and the Fluffy Seafood Yukhoe Bowl. The Spicy Cod Roe and Salmon Roe Omelette Rice Bowl was quite filling, even half portion might be satisfying. Personally, I found the Yukhoe Bowl with seafood to be very delicious. Additionally, rice, miso soup, and pickles are all-you-can-eat. I felt that the cost performance was reasonable.

A restaurant where you can eat the popular mentaiko ikura tamagoyaki bowl that is currently trending on Instagram! I heard rumors that there is a 2-hour wait during lunchtime, so I made sure to arrive a little over an hour before opening. → I arrived at 10:25 on a holiday and was the 20th person in line. In the end, I waited for about 70 minutes and was able to get in about 10 minutes after opening. ☑︎ Mentaiko ikura tamagoyaki bowl ¥1980 Most customers order this famous menu item! A bed of rice is topped with tamagoyaki, ikura, and a generous serving of mentaiko! This looks like it could give me gout... haha The mentaiko and ikura are both rich in flavor, so I thought the tamagoyaki could use a bit more seasoning. By the way, you can have unlimited refills of rice, miso soup, and takana.

I was worried about the taste because this restaurant is famous on social media, but it was really delicious! They open at 11:30, but I lined up from 11:00 and finally got in around 12:30. The mentaiko (spicy cod roe) and egg went really well together! The mentaiko had just the right amount of saltiness and didn't have any unpleasant texture.
