When it comes to Asahikawa, it's all about ramen, but unfortunately, the popular ramen shop was closed so I ended up at this new place. It had a nostalgic oldies American diner vibe with melancholic music playing in the background. The owners, a friendly couple, made me feel welcome and even saw me off when I left. The menu featured dishes like Furano pork cutlet and curry, but I opted for the hamburger this time. The salad with orange dressing was okay, but I prefer a bit more citrus flavor. The homemade hamburger was firm and not as juicy as I like, and the curry was more watery than I expected. I noticed later that I could have gotten a larger size for just a little more money, but I ended up paying extra for cheese topping anyway. I also gave in to temptation and ordered a chocolate parfait, which was a rare treat for me. It was delicious and surprisingly cheap at only 450 yen. In the end, my solo dinner cost me 1,850 yen, but it was worth it for the tasty meal.

It's been a while since we last visited. My daughter also loves this place, so we came together. Last time, I had the special spice cutlet curry with hamburger topping (which was incredibly delicious). This time, I had the special spice cutlet curry for 980 yen, and my daughter had the omurice hayashi on a hot plate for 890 yen with 3 shrimp fries for 400 yen as a topping. We also ordered a nostalgic cream soda. The cutlet curry was also incredibly delicious. I tried one of the shrimp fries my daughter had, and it was so tasty and plump. The food here is top-notch, but it's a bit disappointing that there is no parking lot and we have to park at a nearby paid parking. Nevertheless, we will definitely come back. Maybe next time we'll try the spaghetti Neapolitan.

A pop-style restaurant serving curry and Western dishes. Curry, hamburger, and cream soda with a bright red cherry on top - all the favorites from childhood, right? (laughs) The flavors are definitely geared towards adults. The pickles served on the side are also delicious. They offer takeout too, so stop by on your way home from work!

Since the last time I visited shortly after the opening, the restaurant has become quite popular with 7 customers arriving after me at around 11:30 am. I ordered the special spice hamburger curry for 1000 yen (ranked 3rd in popularity). The sound of the chef patting the hamburger patties immediately raised my expectations. It takes about 15 minutes because the hamburgers are hand-kneaded and cooked. The counter has 6 seats, but only 3 are available due to bags occupying the others. First, I was served a salad with a homemade orange dressing that was refreshing and perfect for a hot day. The curry was served with a rugby ball-shaped mound of rice topped with the hamburger patty. The hamburger was crispy on the outside, juicy and meaty on the inside, and had a satisfying chewiness. It was delicious on its own. The curry was not very spicy, but the spices came through gradually. I didn't break a sweat. It would be even better if they could add some hot oil like Indian curry for extra spiciness. The 150g hamburger was filling. With a variety of menu options, I will try the lunch set next time. Don't forget to try the soft serve with a service voucher. Thank you for the meal.

The atmosphere was welcoming and the auntie who greeted us was very kind, which made me happy. It was a lovely restaurant with great service. I was satisfied just with that, haha. The ketchup rice had a mild flavor, making it easy to eat, and the Hayashi sauce had a nice rich taste. The dish had large pieces of meat, which made it very satisfying to eat. The eggs were also soft and delicious. Even though it was a quick stop in Asahikawa, it was a delicious restaurant where you can also stay longer. I wonder if I should try their popular curry next time?

Anyway, the two of them have the best personalities! When I first went, I ordered the hamburger curry, fruity type with mild spiciness, and the hamburger had a good meaty texture and was satisfying to eat! The photo is from another day when I had the regular curry. The salad was fresh and delicious, served with Fukujinzuke and pickled radish. I also ordered the Napolitan, which had a sweet taste. On another day, I ordered the meat sauce, which had a nostalgic taste. It had more sauce than I expected, making it very satisfying. They even prepared a separate plate without me having to ask. The staff always greets you with a smile when you leave. It's rare to find a restaurant that truly cares about its customers like this. It seems like there are regulars among the other customers, which shows that this place is truly loved. However, the staff is always so friendly every day, I worry that the owners might get tired. I definitely want to keep coming back to this place whenever I have the time! I'll be back again, so keep up the good work!

The restaurant boasts a spicy curry that is reminiscent of delicious school lunches. They also offer a mild curry with a unique twist. I was initially interested in the spicy pork cutlet curry, but ended up trying the combination curry instead. The combination curry, priced at 690 yen, was a great deal. I couldn't resist upgrading to a large portion for an extra 100 yen. And since I had originally thought of the spicy pork cutlet curry, I decided to add a pork cutlet for an additional 400 yen. The restaurant was bustling with customers, showing its growing popularity. After a short wait, my order arrived on a metal plate with rice separating the spicy and mild curries on each side, topped with a perfectly fried cutlet. The presentation was impressive. I added Fukujinzuke and diced pickles to enjoy the spiciness and mildness alternately. Mixing the curries together with the rice wall, the layers of flavors in the spicy curry and the comforting taste of the mild one combined beautifully. The carefully prepared cutlet, made with finely sliced Tokachi pork and a crispy coating, was delicious. It was a different kind of tasty cutlet compared to those from a tonkatsu restaurant. Overall, it was a delightful meal!

●Spa Cutlet ¥1090 ★★★☆ ※Comes with salad. A cutlet placed on spaghetti with meat sauce on top, it has a homey taste that B-class gourmet enthusiasts would enjoy. It seems to be the most popular item in the store. (2021.05.20.) [Product Information / Information from Asatan KOTA article in Asahikawa] ※Hailing from Kushiro, the so-called Spa Cutlet. It is said to be rare in Asahikawa, but can be enjoyed at the popular Western-style diner, Rendezvous Diner. In fact, this was the author's first experience with Spa Cutlet. The cutlet itself has a crispy and fluffy coating, with a thick yet tender meat that exudes deliciousness, making it a remarkable creation. When generously coated with juicy meat sauce, it is truly a hit. It has a hearty texture but a light flavor. Not too heavy, so you could eat as much as you want, which is a testament to the skill of the chef. ●Other Information: *Seating available. *Complimentary water service. *Complimentary wet towels (paper napkins available). *Restroom available. *No charging facilities (no power outlets). *The customer service is pleasant. *The cleanliness and interior setup are average. *No need to remove shoes in the store. *The crowd level may vary depending on the season and time, but there was no waiting to enter or pay at the register. *Received a coupon (soft drink) after the meal. The service by the female staff was polite. (2021.05.20.) [Introduction from the store] *Enjoy a variety of carefully selected Western dishes. We offer a wide range of old-fashioned Western menu items. We take pride in our dishes made with carefully selected pork. Classic Western dishes like Hayashi and curry are also recommended. Please feel free to visit us!

I had been curious about "Rendezvous Diner" for a long time. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was warmly greeted and shown to a table. The interior was decorated with posters from the good old rock 'n' roll era. There were panels of "The Mods" and "Stray Cats" near the restroom. I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere and wanted to come back again. We ordered the popular "Special Spicy Pork Cutlet Curry" and "Omelette Rice Curry" from the top 7 menu items. First, we were served a salad, pickles, radish pickles, and mixed vegetables, followed by our main dishes. The curry was delicious with a nice kick of spices, and the rice was also tasty. The hot pork cutlet paired perfectly with the curry. I finished the curry in no time, already thinking about what to order next time. The friendly and comfortable service made the whole experience even better. I left the restaurant with a new favorite place in mind!

Ordered the number one popular Spicy Katsu Curry. It looked like a simple Katsu Curry. The plate was surprisingly deep with a generous amount of curry sauce. The katsu had a crispy coating that remained crispy until the end. Despite expecting the katsu to be spicy based on the menu name, it was actually the curry that had the spice. The curry had a deep flavor profile and was easy to eat despite being spicy. It was nice to have salad, fukujinzuke, rakkyo, and pickles on the side. If I were to be picky, it would be easier to eat if the katsu was cut into bite-sized pieces instead of having to cut it with a spoon, especially since the katsu tends to get soaked in the curry sauce at the beginning.

The restaurant has a red checkered tablecloth, American-style decorations, and plays American pop music, creating a stylish atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of delicious Western dishes such as curry, hashed beef, spaghetti, hamburger, and cutlet. I ordered the "Spaghetti Cutlet" (with salad) for 1,090 yen, and also tried the nostalgic "Cream Soda" for 350 yen. The spaghetti takes about 15 minutes to cook and is served with salad and condiments. The dish consists of boiled spaghetti topped with meat sauce and pork cutlet, with another layer of meat sauce on top. The spaghetti is light and not overpowering, making it a perfect match with the flavorful meat sauce and tender pork cutlet. The salad served as a side dish is fresh and delicious, with a light dressing. The homemade pickles provided as a condiment were also tasty with a balanced acidity. Overall, the dining experience was enjoyable, with the option to enjoy alcoholic beverages and small dishes as well. The Cream Soda, served with a dollop of ice cream and a cherry on top, was a delightful and nostalgic treat to end the meal. The diner offers a wide selection of tasty dishes in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.

The inside of the shop has 60s American pop rock as background music. The shop has a stylish atmosphere with a 60s American theme. The most popular dish is the Spicy Pork Cutlet Curry. The meat is a carefully selected pork loin from Kamifurano, served on a silver plate with plenty of curry sauce. When you take a bite, you can taste the sweetness of the cutlet first, followed by the rich sweetness of the curry sauce, and then the spiciness kicks in. It's a perfect pork cutlet curry that will make it hard for you to enjoy any other pork cutlet curry afterwards. The cleanliness of the shop and the customer service are also pleasant. I found a great shop! [Additional information] You can use PayPay.

This is a review of Karelog {030}. Today, I went to Asahikawa for some errands (as usual, right? lol) and on my way back, I stopped by here. It was rare for my whole family of three to be together. Each of us ordered what we wanted and it was served to us promptly. Before that, we received a salad and I really liked the dressing on it. The curry I ordered was the large portion of Katsu Curry. To cut to the chase, the large portion was too much lol. I think the regular portion would have been satisfying enough. The katsu was tender and well-fried, and the curry roux had a spicy yet subtle and rich flavor. Also, the rice was cooked deliciously - this alone makes me want to come back. As everyone says, the hospitality here is top-notch. Being greeted with smiles by the couple running the place, it's hard not to like it here. The curry was delicious, but next time I'll try the Pork Cutlet Curry!

I have been a regular customer at Curry and Western Food Rendezvous since it opened. The atmosphere is like an American diner that you would see in movies or TV shows, with a lovely owner couple always smiling, playing music that I like, and serving delicious Western food. I always check for new items on the menu, as well as seasonal limited-time offerings. When a nearby shaved ice shop is closed for lunch, I often come here for lunch before heading there, making it part of my routine. The restaurant is usually open all day, which is convenient. I often see an elderly regular customer there, and though we've never spoken, it always warms my heart. This time, I ordered the Omu Rice Hayashi for 890 yen. The interior had Oasis playing in the background. The owner couple greeted me with their lovely smiles and provided attentive service. They brought water and salad first, with a French-style dressing. The lunch mat with the restaurant's name embroidered on it is cute, and I always find myself touching it affectionately. Finally, the Omu Rice Hayashi arrived, and it looked slightly small in the photo, but it was a satisfying portion. The egg was fluffy, but with a bit of a firm texture on the edges, maintaining the flavor. When I dug in, I found chicken rice inside, with a light ketchup flavor and a hint of chicken, onions, and garlic, along with a buttery taste. It was so delicious that I could eat it endlessly. The Hayashi sauce was rich but not overpowering, with a refreshing tomato acidity. The onions were soft, and the meat was well-seasoned, impressing me with its flavor. Unlike other places where the ingredients are all stewed together, here the beef flavor remained distinct throughout, making it enjoyable until the last bite. The homemade pickles with cucumber, daikon, red and yellow bell peppers added a nice touch of acidity. I finished the meal completely satisfied. Next time, I want to try the Pork Ginger Lunch that I always think about ordering, but I might get tempted by the enticing smell in the restaurant and end up ordering curry again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I knew there was a curry restaurant here, but there's no parking nearby. I parked at Makitaville's parking lot, hoping for a discount, but there wasn't one. I decided to try the curry anyway, even though I was in the mood for something other than curry. I ended up ordering the hamburger curry, which was delicious. The curry had a smooth vegetable-based sauce, and the hamburger was juicy and well-seasoned. The side salad and homemade pickles were also tasty. Overall, the restaurant is worth a visit for its delicious food, despite the lack of parking.

Lunch at a Western-style restaurant facing Hokuden on 4th Street in Asahikawa City. The curry rice flag is waving and the storefront signs are all about curry rice. There's a magazine cutout about combo curry? What's that about? Well, I guess it means trying two types of curry rice together, right? Yeah, apparently it's sweet and spicy curry. Inside the restaurant, the design is trendy with exposed concrete and a roof stripped of its panels, more like a cafe than a diner. The menu features a variety of curry rice variations. I was torn between Omu Hayashi, but ended up ordering Katsu Curry. If there was a simple Omelette Rice, it might not have been curry. While waiting for the cutlet to fry, I checked the newspaper for a bit. First, they bring a set of salad and Fukujinzuke as a side dish. The salad is well-balanced, with a bit more volume than a mini salad. It consists of lettuce, cabbage, and vibrant red radishes, and you can make your own dressing. It's fresh, not oily, and easy to eat. Soon, the Katsu Curry arrives. The curry is served in a typical silver curry plate, with rice molded into a half-moon shape, topped with a generous portion of cutlet to enhance the volume. Let's see... First, let's try the simple curry rice. Wow! It's so hot! The curry is boiling hot, making it surprising! Hot! The cutlet is a bit thin, but... hot! The parts where the curry has soaked in are hot, be careful with your upper palate. The curry is well blended, so it's soupy and seeps into the rice, making it easy to eat. It's just a delicious curry. The set of three Fukujinzuke is normal Fukujinzuke, radish, and pickled paprika, colorful and tasty. Sandwiching the three varieties in between bites of curry rice prevents monotony and makes it enjoyable. Finally, my stomach is full, and I clean the curry plate thoroughly. The service from the lady is always polite and informative, right up to the final bill. Thank you very much. Take care~♪ Did you take a bath? Did you do your homework? Ah, bibadodo♪ Thank you for the meal =3 ===========

A very satisfying Western-style restaurant with great service and delicious food. It seems to be run by a couple, and the service is heartwarming. Unfortunately, there are no photos, but there is a paid parking lot next to it available until 9:00 PM. If you're not sure where to go, be sure to check it out!
