Noboribetsu City, where Noboribetsu Onsen is located... Well, setting aside the fact that the nearest JR station is Horobetsu Station, this is a yakitori restaurant near the station. It seems to have quite a history, but after the renovation, it feels strangely tidy, which the old guys find a bit uncomfortable. Is it just right for a yakitori restaurant to have red lanterns shining dimly? Haha. There is a counter on the right and seats lined up on the left. Quite a few people can fit in here. It seems like there are several groups of local company-related drinking parties, lively and clearly all regulars. There must be few first-time visitors here. The owner, the landlady, and the part-timers skillfully serve the old guys while promptly providing drinks. Impressive! The appetizers like sashimi and small dishes are all homemade and really good. They are included in the all-you-can-drink party set, so the owner's work keeps coming out. Well, the menu is typical for an izakaya - salad, fried chicken, sashimi, several types of yakitori, pickles, and what else? I can't remember. I don't recall seeing any big items like hot pots. As we drink more and more, some old guys must be here for the skilled landlady. Haha. It seems like it would be fun to sit at the counter and nibble on yakitori here. Speaking of yakitori, it's a mix of chicken, pork, and more, typical for this area! Haha. The quality of the yakitori is high overall, and the sauce seems to be good. Well, it's the neighboring town of Muroran after all. While asking the owner to grill some skewers, I'll ask the landlady for just one cup of hot sake, and enjoy it poured by her. Yeah, that's the way to do it =3 I want to be an old guy who can enjoy the proper way to enjoy a traditional yakitori restaurant. Yeah, it was delicious ^^ I drank again today! This was Gocchan.
