When I was drinking with my friends, the topic of this restaurant came up, and I was invited to make a reservation and go. I happily agreed. On the day of the reservation at 6:00 PM, the three of us entered the restaurant and started with a toast with beer. We enjoyed the homemade tofu appetizer while looking at the menu. Here is what we ordered:
- Celery sticks
- Chicken liver (cooked rare)
- Kawachi duck
- Nagoya Cochin bone-in neck
- Back liver
- Chicken wings
The celery sticks were surprisingly delicious, even for someone like me who doesn't like celery. The grilled dishes were generously portioned and full of flavor. The grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful. The bone-in neck was a bit tricky to eat but incredibly tasty. The liver dishes were also excellent.
We also had a variety of side dishes:
- Pickled vegetables assortment
- Fried chicken
- Chicken breast and avocado
- Red Vienna sausage
- Baby corn
- Otafuku (I forgot which part this was)
- Egg sandwich
The egg sandwich was exceptional and a must-try dish to end the meal. The food was so good that time flew by, and before we knew it, three hours had passed. It's great to find a place where you can order such delicious skewers a la carte, amidst the trend of restaurants offering yakitori courses. I can't wait to make another reservation and go back. It was so delicious!

Kichikura-san is really hard to get a reservation at. It had been 8 months since my last visit. Started with a draft beer for 500 yen, then had the 6th generation Mushitake. The new bottle was the 7th generation Mushitake Red Kirishima due to limited availability of the 3rd generation. The meal started with homemade tofu, followed by Nagoya Cochin chicken breast and thigh sashimi. Then, I compared the black Satsuma and Awa-odori chicken wing tips, both deliciously fatty. The heart and skin skewers were fantastic, as was the liver, negima, and chicken ham (a super limited menu item). The egg sandwich and red bean paste sandwich were also excellent choices for dessert. Kichikura's new staple. Osaka's grilled chicken may have just been decided at Kichikura-san. I'll have to work hard to make a reservation again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

We started with a homemade tofu beer toast♪♪ The restaurant was lively and packed, and we were lucky to sit near the counter grill where we could watch the yakitori being cooked. We enjoyed a tasting comparison of Nagoya Cochin black Satsuma chicken, including Nagoya Cochin chicken breast tataki with grated daikon, green onions, and lemon. The chicken breast tataki was thick and flavorful, with a crispy surface and a chewy texture. It paired perfectly with the mild spiciness of the mustard served alongside. The yakitori was generous in portion and mostly marinated in sauce. The homemade thick fried tofu had a crispy exterior and a soft interior. We finished with a yakitori rice bowl, filled with plenty of yakitori and crushed kumquats. Both dishes were delicious and we were very satisfied with our dinner. The timing of the drinks and the excellent service from the hostess also added to our wonderful dining experience. Nagoya Cochin chicken breast tataki - ¥2000, Black Satsuma chicken thigh salt-grilled - ¥1480, Grilled green onions - ¥320, Chicken tenderloin - ¥300, Skin - ¥320, Otafuku (chicken neck) - ¥300, Chicken belly - ¥300, Yakitori rice bowl - ¥900, Homemade thick fried tofu - ¥600, Highball - ¥500, Draft beer - ¥500.

I love Kichikura-san (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))♡ This quality at this price is amazing! No wonder it's always fully booked (ㆀ˘・з・˘) It's really a great restaurant at this price range in a hard-to-reserve place. I'm always impressed. Couldn't make it to the end... I'll definitely try the sandwich next time (o^^o)

I couldn't make a reservation for the first turn, so I entered on the second turn around 8:20 pm. I ordered the chicken thigh skewers and beer to start. I waited outside for about 30 minutes, so I was really thirsty. It was nice that the grilled chicken wasn't served as a course, but you could choose individual skewers. My friend and I ordered different skewers and shared them. If we liked one, we could order more, which was great. Overall, we were very satisfied. There was a lively atmosphere that caught my attention, but...

I visited my favorite restaurant, Kichizou, once again! I arrived for the second seating around 8:15 PM. We sat at a table for four and ordered the following: red okra (so delicious and refreshing), grilled eggplant skewers with twist ponzu sauce (a new favorite), back liver (pre-ordered), fried chicken (pre-ordered), tsukune, otafuku, yagen nankotsu, seseri, momo, negima, and harami. We couldn't finish everything, so we took some home. The leftover yakitori was perfect for breakfast the next day. The liver, back meat, and harami were especially delicious. Don't hesitate to take your leftovers home! I wanted to make a reservation for next time, but they're fully booked until the end of September. Kichizou is a great restaurant where you can order a la carte and have flexible seating times. I will definitely be back! Thank you for the delicious meal!

One of the best yakitori restaurants I think is Kichi Kura. They use local chicken and you can order various items a la carte, which is great. The skewers are generous and the side dishes are delicious. In the winter, the hot pot is also good. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also nice, making it a popular choice. It's a shame that it's so hard to get a reservation now. I recommend trying the rice dishes, but the egg sandwich and red bean sandwich are also good. Every menu item is recommended, so I really want to go back again.

A friend made a reservation at Kichikura two months ago because they wanted to visit. We didn't go for the set course, but instead ordered recommended skewers (sasami wasabi, nankotsu, negima, tsukune, zuri) a la carte. We also added skewers of chicken skin with ponzu sauce, corn, sausage, and eggplant. The skewers of back skin, matsuba, and liver were large and satisfying to eat. Everything was delicious. The restaurant was fully booked as expected, with customers coming in one after another for their reservations. It's very popular, probably because there aren't many dining options in the area. We didn't make a reservation for next time and left. The budget was around 7000 yen per person including drinks.

Today was my third visit to Kichizo. Since it was my third time, I decided to order items that I don't usually get. The short-horned beef sausage was delicious. The fried chicken was also tasty. While the course yakitori is great, it's nice to have a variety of chicken dishes available a la carte.

Oh! The owner of the restaurant has changed, but the new owner seems to be supported by the previous one, so I feel at ease. It's been a while since I visited Kichikura, and this time I went for the first time for the second seating after 8 pm. For the second seating, you can enter after the previous customers leave and you receive a notification. I arrived around 8:20 pm and had to wait for about 5 minutes before I could enter. This day, I ordered a la carte, choosing only the dishes I liked: - Edamame tofu as a starter - Fresh corn with Gold Rush seasoning, delicious - Awaodori chicken tataki - Warm snap peas, tasty - 8 types of grilled skewers - The duck with green onions was so good that my companion ordered it again - Tamagokake Gohan (rice with raw egg), which seemed really delicious, according to others. I don't usually eat this, so I only saw others enjoying it. * I wanted to order the fried chicken, but it was already sold out by the time I arrived. I ended up having fried chicken bento for lunch the next day. I'll have to make a reservation for the fried chicken next time. However, no matter how many times I visit, the service here is always amazing. With this attitude, in such a popular restaurant, overall, I think this is the number one yakitori place. The atmosphere is just perfect. I always genuinely look forward to coming back. It's the best to be able to drink sake while watching the meat being grilled up close. The meat is really delicious, and since it started at 8 pm, I stayed for about an hour and a half and then left quickly. I also made a reservation for my next visit, so I feel secure on my way back home. The sauce here is on the sweeter side, but it has a sharp and elegant taste with a pleasant aroma that stands out.

I visited a restaurant that I had been curious about for 3-4 years for the first time. There were various vegetables available, but I was particularly drawn to the incredibly large asparagus that I had never seen before. It was delicious. The chicken with marbled fat and the tataki were also really tasty, and if I have the chance to come back, I definitely want to try them again. The yakitori skewers were quite large, and I realized I had ordered too much at first. It's difficult to make a reservation, but I would love to go back again.

I finally got to visit the long-awaited restaurant! I've been thinking about it for about 5 years, and no matter what I eat, it's delicious!!! It's my number one yakitori restaurant in my book. I just wish it was a little easier to make a reservation.

My first visit was 10 years ago. The taste and service were outstanding, so I thought it would become a popular restaurant, but I never expected it to have a 5-month wait. I love their otafuku, and I used to go just for that, but waiting for months and dealing with the regulars' attitude is tough... Would I still go?

I asked the owner of a yakitori restaurant I used to frequent for recommendations on other delicious yakitori places, and they recommended Kichikura. I made a reservation for early April and visited in early May with two friends. When we arrived, we were seated at the end of the counter instead of the designated L-shaped area due to walk-in customers, but the staff apologized multiple times and even offered us quail eggs as a service. We started with a toast with draft beer and their homemade tofu appetizer, which was delicious. We also ordered Nagoya Cochin chicken sashimi, negima skewers, harami, seseri, tsukune, otafuku, duck negima, tebasaki, sekan, young corn, asparagus, and grilled rice balls. The skewers were grilled perfectly, and the meat quality was exceptional. The otafuku, a new cut for me, was similar to beef tendon and very tasty. The Wakayama prefecture sansho pepper served with the yakitori was fragrant and paired well with the dishes. The staff also asked about our preferred doneness for the chicken breast, and the rare option we chose was cooked perfectly. It was interesting to watch the live grilling process on the unique charcoal grill. Despite being busy, the staff provided excellent service, promptly refilling drinks and always wearing a smile. They even apologized for the seating arrangement until we left. It was a delightful dining experience with delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. Thank you very much, and I will definitely be returning.

Trendy store! The owner has a kind vibe, but the dishes are huge and have a simple taste. I thought it was impressive how they manage with a small grill. The bone-in neck was difficult to eat and I didn't really understand the point of it, haha. The cost performance is good, so I wonder if it will become popular.

First visit to the restaurant "Kichikura" located about a 5-minute walk from Awaza Station in Osaka. I'm happy that I can order a la carte. I ordered tofu, celery sashimi platter (chicken breast, thigh, liver, skin), thigh meat tataki, edamame, tsukune, eggplant with liver, green pepper, thick fried tofu, rice with raw egg (with kinkan version), pickles (burdock root, komatsuna), celery egg sandwich, and red bean paste sandwich. They serve only what you want to eat, everything is delicious, and the bill is wallet-friendly. This is a restaurant I would like to visit again!

Second visit. The first time was exciting and fresh, but the second time, I felt a bit more accustomed, so the sense of gratitude and shock was diminished. Still, the food is delicious and I think it's a good value for the price. It's become a popular restaurant that's hard to get a reservation at. I tend to overeat when I come here, so on the way back, I walk to Umeda to burn off the guilt of overeating. This has become a regular routine for me.

Here is a must-book popular yakitori restaurant where fresh chicken meat and charcoal fire combine to create a fantastic dining experience. When I worked in Awaza, I tried to walk in without a reservation but couldn't get in. I made a reservation about a month in advance, and finally got to try the Kuro Satsuma or Awao Niwatori sashimi. I chose the Kuro Satsuma for its firm texture and delicious crispy skin. The sashimi platter had tender breast meat that I loved. The harami on the platter was so flavorful and juicy, and the harami with ponzu sauce that I ordered separately was amazing. Each skewer was generously portioned and had a satisfying bite, yet was reasonably priced. No wonder everyone loves this place! The tsukune, negima, and sasami were all delicious with the perfect amount of char. The sandwich I was looking forward to was surprisingly hearty with homemade chicken bacon that was incredibly tasty. The vegetables at a good yakitori restaurant are so juicy and flavorful, it's hard to choose! Definitely try the garlic, it's a must. Peeling it yourself is also a nice touch. The yakitori donburi with kinkan on top was a luxurious bowl with tender chicken, tsukune, and negi at such a reasonable price. It was the perfect ending to the meal. The rich barley soda was a great pairing. And don't forget to order the quail, which is soft and runny with amazing broth. Highly recommend as a side dish! Thank you for the delicious meal.

I was recommended this place by someone who loves yakitori because they said it's the most delicious. I was skeptical at first, but it really was delicious! Just like in the photos, the yakitori had a beautiful color when grilled. It was my first time seeing yakitori with such a beautiful color. If I can get a reservation, I would love to visit this place every month! Everything was incredibly delicious, and the prices were reasonable too. Highly recommended!
