森田パン
Popular soup curry restaurant in Otaru, which has expanded to Osaka and Okinawa. Located near the warehouse of Eiichi Shibusawa, who will appear on the 10,000 yen bill next year, the entrance may be a bit hard to find. The monthly changing weekday lunch is a great deal, including a drink for 950 yen. On this day, during a three-day weekend, I chose from the regular menu... The interior of the restaurant has a tropical feel and is exotic. With a high ceiling, there is a sense of openness and a comfortable atmosphere. It's easy to dine alone, and I was seated at the counter on the second floor. There is a button to call the staff to your seat, allowing you to carefully study the menu. [Order] ◉ Rare Lamb Curry (¥1880) ◉ Garlic Naan (¥120) ◉ Broccoli (¥120) *MMB Soup, Level 3 spiciness As a base, you can choose white rice or mixed grain rice. I wanted to have naan after a long time, so I added 120 yen for garlic naan. The cheese naan also looked delicious. You can have free refills, so I changed to plain naan. ◇ Rare Lamb Curry The appearance of the rare lamb is appetizing. The meat is thick and rare inside, but there is no unpleasant smell, and the deliciousness of the lamb meat seeps out more as you chew. The spices and herbs around the meat are doing a great job. The soup is thin, creamy, and flavorful. As you eat, your body warms up without it being spicy, but the spices make you sweat. The dish is full of ingredients, and although the broccoli was listed as 160 yen on the menu, it was inexplicably cheaper at 120 yen. The garlic naan was also delicious, but the portion was so generous that I couldn't have another serving. ◆ Summary I have passed by the restaurant many times, but I never associated Otaru with soup curry... I had been overlooking it. The weekday lunch is affordable, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely, so I highly recommend going there for a spa day.
