On December 1st, a popular restaurant in Haruyoshi called "Suiuo" opened a new restaurant called "Sushi Suiuo" just a minute's walk away! I visited right away and found that they have a counter seating as well as 3 private rooms for 4 people each, and a special room for 6 people. The special room for 6 people is located right by the entrance, with the restroom next to it, so you can enjoy your meal without running into anyone (perfect for the baseball players who often visit Suiuo). The owner, Mr. Kuroiwa, and the staff were all lovely and provided a pleasant and cheerful service. The restaurant is located in Haruyoshi-Nishinakasu, and despite the average customer spending around 7,000 yen, it offers a great combination of service, taste, and atmosphere. Now, let me introduce the dishes... - Appetizer: Starting with a selection of dishes, such as Mukago Manjo, Hime Kuwai, and Kohada Temari Sushi. The sake cups made of small stones are really cool! - Foie Gras Chawanmushi: Delicious and must-try dish! - Sashimi Platter: Featuring scallops from Saroma, spear squid from Genkai, and striped jackfish. - Tempura: Whitefish milt, honey green pepper, and bamboo shoots tempura. The whitefish milt tempura was creamy and delicious! - Iroha Oyster: Oysters are in season and these were amazing! - Nigiri Sushi: Including fatty tuna and conger eel. The glossy appearance of the fatty tuna speaks for itself! - Anago: Delicious as always! - Hirame and Uni: Both visually appealing and mouth-watering! - Shime Saba Sushi: A saba sushi to end the meal. - Red Miso Soup with Hiratake Mushrooms: A delightful way to end the meal. - Dessert: A refreshing sherbet to cleanse the palate. The restaurant offers a 5,000 yen course menu, but it aims to be a place where you can casually enjoy sushi and drinks for a quick drink or a second or third round. Definitely worth a visit for those looking to enjoy some sushi and sake in a relaxed atmosphere!

Hakata No. 9 is a world of classic rakugo with "jugemu jugemu gokō-no surikire kaijarisuigyo-no..." And so, we visited "Sushi Mizuo" for lunch. The course included the following: Sushi kaiseki "Botan" 8800 yen - Appetizer: Tofu mousse - Hassun: Fresh yuba, young corn with bonito flakes, salmon with cheese, okra with sesame dressing, edamame - Sashimi: Golden eye snapper, bonito, greater amberjack, red sea bream - Steamed dish: Foie gras chawanmushi - Grilled dish: Sauteed turban shell - Sushi: Spear squid, striped jack, medium fatty tuna, grilled chicken grunt, sea urchin, seared conger eel - Soup: Green vegetable miso soup - Dessert: Grapes The atmosphere in the semi-private room was calm and comfortable. The staff's service was polite and pleasant. I would like to visit again if given the chance. Thank you for the meal.

I had been craving sushi lately, so I decided to visit "Sushi Mizuo," a restaurant affiliated with the popular izakaya "Mizuo." Located near the bustling entertainment district of Nakasu in Kyushu, this restaurant is known for its transparent pricing with no service charges or cover fees. Tucked away on the second floor of a small building facing Haruyoshi 5-chome off the Kokutai Road, the entrance is discreet with a heavy door that adds to its hidden gem charm. Upon entering, I was greeted by a warm smile from the chefs at the 8-seat counter and the 3 tables for 12 guests. The elegant decor with a semi-private room and a 6-person private room exuded a sophisticated atmosphere. I opted for the popular "Sushi Kaiseki Botan," which started with a creamy corn mousse as the first course. Topped with caviar and served with soy sauce gele, it was a luxurious treat with a hint of sweetness and aroma of corn. The appetizer platter included dishes like fresh yuba and young corn, salmon cheese, okra with sesame dressing, and edamame, all meticulously prepared and beautifully presented. The sashimi course featured 4 types of fish, including golden eye snapper, skipjack tuna, amberjack, and flounder, each showcasing the freshness and seasonal quality. The steamed dish was a small portion of foie gras chawanmushi, and the grilled dish was a unique preparation of sazae (horned turban shell) with soy sauce and mayonnaise. The balance of fluffy mayonnaise, chewy sazae, and rich flavors was a delight. The vinegar dish of scallop with miso dressing was a harmonious blend of sweet scallop and tangy miso. The highlight was the sushi course with a selection of 8 nigiri pieces, including shrimp, fatty tuna, sea urchin, and more, served on a distinctive 500mm-long plate. The soy sauce glaze enhanced the natural flavors of the ingredients without overpowering them. The meal concluded with caramelized egg and a refreshing aosa seaweed soup. For dessert, I enjoyed a peeled muscat grape, savoring its juicy sweetness and subtle acidity. Overall, the meticulous preparation, seasonal ingredients, and beautiful presentation in handmade pottery created a memorable dining experience that satisfied all my senses.

I was curious about Haruyoshi's sushi restaurant. The building had a sign on the exterior, but when I went up to the 2nd floor, there were two doors. The one in front led to a bar with the restaurant name, but the door at the back seemed to lead nowhere. Feeling unsure, I decided to open it and immediately a male staff member approached me. I asked if this was Sushimizusakana, and he kindly confirmed that it was. He guided me to the counter where I ordered a highball and opted for the Botan course. The first course was a sweet corn mousse and assorted appetizers. The appetizer platter included okra with sesame dressing, grilled young corn, salmon and cheese, fresh yuba, and edamame. It was a good start. Next came a sashimi platter with golden snapper, red snapper, young yellowtail, and amberjack. I especially enjoyed the rich flavor of the golden snapper. Then, three side dishes were served: foie gras chawanmushi, grilled turban shell, and scallop with vinegar miso dressing. The turban shell was from Shiga Island and was generously portioned and flavorful. The sushi course included spear squid, striped jack, grunt, carabinero prawn, medium fatty tuna, hand-rolled sea urchin, minced tuna with green onions, and conger eel. The grilled grunt had a delicious flavor enhanced by sudachi and rock salt. The prawn was firm and the conger eel was fluffy. The pickled ginger was replaced with new onion, giving it a refreshing taste. The meal concluded with an egg custard and miso soup with greens. The egg custard was sweet and easy to eat, and the almond jelly dessert was pleasantly sweet and enjoyable. There were also free Korean customers dining at the restaurant, enjoying the sushi and miso soup. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere and attentive service, making it a convenient and enjoyable dining experience. I would definitely visit again if given the chance. Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation for a business trip to Fukuoka and visited the restaurant. I enjoyed the nice atmosphere at the counter while starting with the appetizer. The five kinds of appetizers were delicious, especially the salmon cream cheese. The yuba, okra, and young corn were all meticulously prepared. The sashimi platter with amberjack and golden eye snapper was particularly tasty. The steamed egg custard had a unique taste, reminiscent of almonds. This dish may be polarizing, but those who like it will surely love it. The nigiri sushi with squid and horse mackerel were especially delicious.

Second visit. A shop that values cost performance. I think the course I had this time was probably around 5000 yen? It's truly unique to Fukuoka that you can eat such delicious fish at this price. The 5000 yen course is probably the cheapest one, but I'm still quite satisfied!

I was invited to a dinner party, so I went to the sushi restaurant with a counter and a private room as I was looking forward to it. We decided to order a la carte instead of a course, and ordered appetizers, sashimi platter, grilled fish, and sushi. I personally prefer courses, but since I was a guest, I refrained from suggesting it. Each dish served was meant for one person, which is common in this type of restaurant, so I think it's better to go for a course when dining with multiple people. I asked the staff various questions while ordering, but they seemed a bit unaware and we had to ask for a hot towel which didn't come automatically, so the service seemed a bit uncoordinated with the restaurant's atmosphere. The food, including the sushi, didn't have anything particularly impressive. The private room was nice, but I don't think I would use it for hosting a business dinner myself...

I ordered the 10,000 yen course this time and it was great. The course that fills you up was very satisfying. There were 6 dishes and a sushi assortment, all beautifully presented and delicious. The sushi was definitely authentic Edomae style. They also offer all-you-can-drink options. I would like to visit again!

I suddenly had a craving for fish and searched on a gourmet website for a nice place to eat. I called several places but they were all fully booked. I tried searching for last-minute reservations but couldn't find any good fish restaurants. Frustrated, I tried to remember a place where I might be able to walk in without a reservation. I remembered one and called them, and luckily they had availability. In the end, I decided to order individual dishes instead of a course meal, but I realized that the course meal would have been much better in terms of quality and value. Even considering the fact that I drank too much, the course meal seems like a better choice. I'll remember that for next time. Despite that, my fish craving was satisfied, and I'm grateful that I could walk in without a reservation. Thank you for the meal!

I hope the coronavirus will end soon and not continue indefinitely. It's scary to think that this might just be the beginning and not the peak. I don't want to imagine going back to square one when the company's economy is slowly recovering. But I guess I should try to stay optimistic, considering that there are things we know and things we don't know. Being flexible and adaptable might be more advantageous in the long run than sticking to detailed plans. I apologize for the long rambling. I am currently enjoying my vacation before things get busy next month. I have been visiting various restaurants and having a great time. Although it's difficult to make reservations at some places and travel out of town, I am still managing to enjoy myself. I recently visited a sushi restaurant where the sushi rice was a bit loose for my liking, but overall the sushi was good. My child was not very interested in the food, but I shared some dishes with him. The course meal started off a bit underwhelming with the appetizer, but the duck meat and sushi that followed were delicious. I even had seconds of the duck meat and sushi, and ended the meal feeling satisfied. Surprisingly, I ended up going to a ramen shop for a second meal. Overall, it was a fun date with my child. Thank you for the meal!

I visited this restaurant for the first time. I really wanted to eat fresh sashimi and sushi!! Unfortunately, I made a mistake and accidentally called another restaurant to make a reservation. But they handled it kindly and I sat at the counter. I quickly ordered a sashimi platter. Ahh, the happiness of being able to eat what you want when you want. It's a luxury, isn't it? I enjoyed some Yamazaki highball while moving on to the sushi. My partner and I shared an 8-piece sushi set. We also added a cucumber roll. The sushi pieces were small and just right for me! Each piece was made with great care! The atmosphere in the restaurant was calm and cozy. I've decided to come back again! Thank you for the delicious meal!

On this day, I had a dinner with an old friend. We decided to treat ourselves to something nice, so we headed to "Sushi Suiuo" for our meal. Located in Haruyoshi 3-chome, a little off the main street, this restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. We ordered the Hanashoubu course with all-you-can-drink option, which costs ¥10,000. With tax included, it came to ¥10,800. Let's start with a highball. We began with some appetizers before moving on to sushi. The first dish was sesame tofu topped with sea urchin, which was delicious. Then we had a healthy assortment of small dishes including wasabi flowers, shallot mayonnaise, asparagus with sesame mayo, caprese salad, and brown mushrooms. They were all light and tasty. Next, we enjoyed a dish of swordfish with vinegar and carrots, followed by a sashimi platter with four types of fish. Each fish had its own unique flavor and was very fresh. We then had a steamed dish of foie gras chawanmushi, which was rich and flavorful. We switched to sake and tried a fruity one called Kama. It was good, but by this point, we were already feeling a bit tipsy. The hot pot dish with tilefish, carrots, and perilla was excellent, with tender fish and crunchy vegetables. Then came the sushi, which included striped jack, chicken breast, bonito, and marinated yellowtail. Each piece was delicious and well-prepared. Finally, we had medium fatty tuna, marinated horse mackerel, dessert of black tea panna cotta, and tamago (egg). Everything was excellent, especially the marinated horse mackerel, which was a unique and tasty dish. The black tea panna cotta was also delicious, with a strong tea flavor. The tamago was perfectly cooked and had a rich taste. Overall, it was a satisfying and delicious meal. Highly recommended for authentic yet affordable sushi. Total cost for dinner today: ¥10,800.

We made a reservation for 4 people, but 2 of the women don't drink alcohol, so the menu was changed to focus on sushi. In addition to the Uni and Toro sushi in the photo, we also had Toro Tekka and Kampyo rolls. We enjoyed drinking Tachiyama sake, and the total cost was under 5,000 yen per person.

My junior colleague and I went to Sushisuiuou for a year-end party! We ordered the 5000 yen course and the all-you-can-drink sake for 2300 yen, and we had 12 cups of sake together (lol). The dishes showed great attention to detail. My favorite sushi, the sea urchin, and the grunt were all stolen by my junior colleague (;_;) The sea urchin was sweet. My junior colleague kept saying everything was delicious, while I particularly enjoyed the foie gras chawanmushi. I got too drunk and don't remember much (lol). I think it's a good place for dates or entertaining guests! Thank you for the meal!

I requested to go to "Sushi Mizuo" for a dinner meeting with the manufacturer. The only sign of the restaurant is a wooden sign. I climbed up a narrow staircase in the alley and found the old Western-style wooden door at the end of the corridor. When I opened the dark door, I suddenly entered a different world. The interior was decorated with dazzling decorative tiles on the wall, giving off a luxurious atmosphere. I ordered beer and a 3000 yen course, and also ordered additional items like Tekka Maki. The young chef was kind and welcoming, and the total payment was around 6000 yen per person. There are also table seats available, making it a recommended restaurant to bring guests.

We had a course meal with 10 dishes for 4 people at a stylish and calm restaurant. The menu included appetizers, sashimi, and sushi rolls, all of which were delicious. The chef prepared a private table for us, creating a quiet environment where we could enjoy our meal and chat leisurely. We also enjoyed an all-you-can-drink sake option with 8 different kinds, allowing us to try a variety of flavors. Even though we ordered one cup of sake per person at a time, it felt like we were drinking around 2 cups each. Despite this, the all-you-can-drink option for 2650 yen was quite a good deal. We all agreed that we would love to come back to this restaurant for a private dining experience.

I used it for a business dinner with a client. It was my second time using it, and I was very satisfied with the 12,100 yen sushi kaiseki meal, as I was able to enjoy the food and drink alcohol. The staff's service was also good, making it a cost-effective restaurant.

Today I had sushi! It's located in a quiet alley on the way from Haruyoshi to Sumiyoshi, and I wouldn't have found it without being brought here. Prices start at 3000 yen for nigiri and 5000 yen for kaiseki course, which is a great deal (although today I was treated!). I had the kaiseki course, which included seasonal vegetables, grilled ayu fish, myoga salad, pumpkin, fresh corn, and more. The chawanmushi had foie gras sauce on top, which was interesting. After getting quite full, I had 5 pieces of sushi which were delicious. The tamagoyaki was like pudding, with a caramelized surface. It was my first time having something like that, and it was so good! Sushi really does make people happy. I hope more young people will visit this great restaurant. Their selection of sake is moderate, but they pour generously into the glass. I can't wait to come back and just eat sushi next time. Thank you for the wonderful meal!
