Dessert after a meal. It's convenient to have soft serve from the Yuki Parlor at the food court. Chitose Airport is bustling with foreigners and Japanese people. The food court is very good. It's not too sweet, has a rich flavor, and is undeniably delicious.

It's 2:50 PM on July 11, 2023. I'm at the food court in Chitose Airport. Oh, hello, it's Kamen! I couldn't kill much time at the first shop, so I moved to the food court. It's so empty here. I visited Snow Brand Parlor for the first time in a while. I used to always stop by Snow Brand Parlor near Sapporo Station or at the airport, but I drifted away after some trouble with Snow Brand. I visited after a long time this time. I ordered a coffee float, and the soft serve is still delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I held a personal whirlwind tour of Sapporo for food tasting and while exploring New Chitose Airport before my flight, I decided to try the famous Airport Soft Serve at the Snow Brand Parlor in the food court for 420 yen. Made with fresh Hokkaido milk, the Airport Soft Serve was rich, creamy, and delicious. It was clear that a lot of love went into making it. Seriously delicious.

The highlight of returning from Sapporo is Snow Brand Parlor at New Chitose Airport, and of course, the "Snow Royal" ice cream! Compared to regular high-end ice cream, Snow Royal has a refreshing taste and a strong milk flavor with a rich taste. Strangely, when you eat it, it melts in your mouth easily, making it easy to eat. Soft serve is good too, but Snow Royal is the best, right? Thank you for the meal.

There is a Snow Brand Parlor in the food court on the 3rd floor of New Chitose Airport. It is an ice cream and soft serve shop. There is also a Snow Brand Parlor in the area with many souvenir shops on the 2nd floor, but this one in the food court allows you to sit and enjoy your treat. Surprisingly a hidden gem? I ordered the Snow Royal (390 yen) Single. The rich vanilla ice cream was delicious.

In Hokkaido, we ended our meal with a toast with ice cream with the children. We ate a variety of foods over the week. I was torn between airport soft serve and the original Snow Royal, but I ended up choosing the latter. It was said to have been made for Emperor Showa, but it had a strong milk flavor and was delicious. It tasted like the milk soft serve that has been around since the Showa era. I enjoyed dessert for a week's worth of meals and now it's time to leave Hokkaido.

When you come to New Chitose Airport, you have to try the soft serve ice cream. This time, I went to Yuki Jirushi Parlor at the airport. There are several Yuki Jirushi Parlor locations within the airport, and each one has slightly different menus. I wanted to try the chocolate soft serve, so I ordered a cup at the food court location. It was generously topped with chocolate soft serve. The best part of the soft serve is the pointed top, so I started from there. The flavor that spread in my mouth was a bitter cocoa, like a rich, slightly sweet cocoa. It had a dense and creamy texture, but it wasn't hard, and it melted smoothly on my tongue. This cost 390 yen, but it was worth it. The soft serve machine seemed to be from Sanyo. It was really delicious. Thank you for the meal!

After visiting around 16:30, the food court was filled with people having an early dinner, but not too crowded. Surprisingly, there were not many people getting soft serve ice cream at this time, so I was able to buy it smoothly. The Airport Soft Serve costs ¥390 and has a perfect balance. It has the classic soft serve taste with a strong milk flavor, a refreshing aftertaste, and just the right amount of sweetness. It's great as a snack or as a dessert after eating ramen. It's not as rich as whipped cream, so I finished it easily. It might be a bit pricier compared to others, but the portion size is just right for a quick bite. It's convenient to grab and eat at the food court.

Around 6:00 PM on October 6, 2022 (Thursday) in Hokkaido, I missed out on trying the trendy "ending parfait," so I wandered around the airport in search of a place to try it. Since there were no shops nearby that seemed to offer the parfait, I decided to go for Snow Brand soft serve ice cream instead, which was available in the food court. While ramen as a meal ending has become a cultural norm, it's surprising that there aren't many specialty shops offering sweet treats as an ending. I usually just settle for convenience store cream puffs, so the idea of an ending parfait seemed innovative. I hope this trend catches on in Tokyo as well, maybe even in Kabukicho. [Accepts cashless payments][Mont Blanc Parfait] ¥800 - A parfait made with Hokkaido milk soft serve and chestnuts. The soft serve was rich and smooth, without any graininess. The Mont Blanc wasn't overly sweet, and it paired well with the soft serve. [Chocolate Soft Serve] ¥390 - Simple soft serve with chocolate sauce. Smooth texture and pleasant on the palate. While I didn't get to try the ending parfait, I did get to experience Hokkaido milk soft serve at this shop.

I visited Snow Brand Parlor at New Chitose Airport during the waiting time before departure. I ordered a Milk Float (600 yen) that caught my eye, although I was originally there for the soft serve ice cream. The soft serve ice cream had a rich milk flavor, with a good balance of sweetness. It was delicious and well-balanced. The soft serve was placed on top of ice, so the milk part was like regular milk. It might have been better if I had mixed it a little after it melted. As expected from Snow Brand, there was no disappointment in the taste. It was delicious!

Snow Royal is a historic ice cream that was created as a gift for the Emperor and Empress of Japan by the Imperial Household Agency. In addition to parfaits and floats, there is also the famous New Chitose Airport soft serve ice cream for 390 yen. It is not too sweet, with a refreshing aftertaste and a strong milk flavor. Made with carefully selected Hokkaido milk and cream, it is produced in a factory within the airport for freshness and richness. I would love to try the rich and indulgent Snow Royal next time. Thank you for the delicious treat!

I stopped by New Chitose Airport to quickly enjoy some Hokkaido-style ice cream. There is a well-established brand shop conveniently located in the casual food court. They offer seasonal limited-time menus, and this time I chose the Spring Sundae.
- Sakura and Berry Millefeuille Sundae for 850 yen
The staff swiftly prepared it for me. At the top, they used fresh Hokkaido milk and cream to make the "Airport Soft Serve" that is made on-site at the airport. It stands tall with a red strawberry sauce drizzled over it, giving it a fancy appearance. It is delicious on its own, but on top of that, you can enjoy sakura ice cream with sakura leaves, along with two other flavors of ice cream. Additionally, on the left side, there is a crispy millefeuille with berries and custard cream, and on the right side, there are chewy white mochi balls. This combination is unbeatable. Thank you for the delicious meal.

When you come to Hokkaido, soft serve ice cream is a must. This time, I had it at Snow Brand Parlor. It's milky and delicious, just like everywhere else. It must be because of the original milk. The chocolate sauce paired perfectly with it.

Everything was delicious and enjoyable, but I'm starting to say goodbye to Sapporo as my departure time approaches. To pass the time before boarding, I took a break and bought souvenirs at the 3rd floor food court at New Chitose Airport. My mouth still felt oily, so I decided to soothe it with some ice cream. I would have loved to visit the main store in Sapporo, but it was already past closing time. So, at the 3rd floor food court at New Chitose Airport, I enjoyed the ice cream loved by the people of Hokkaido. On the left was Citrus Mix for 375 yen, and on the right was Airport Ice Cream (Vanilla) for 390 yen. Since I wasn't very hungry, I shared both flavors. The Airport Ice Cream (Vanilla) was milky, not too sweet, and had a rich and delicious taste that made me think, "Hokkaido never disappoints!" The Citrus Mix had a good melt-in-your-mouth texture and a refreshing taste. This time, I flew from Kansai Airport, which felt quiet and disappointing, while New Chitose Airport was bustling with many tourists, larger with more shops, and stylish.

Located inside the food court, it's wonderful that you can enjoy limited edition products made in the airport. This is a great system for families with children. The airport-exclusive soft serve ice cream costs 390 yen. It is quite sweet with a good amount of milk fat, but there is a lot of ice making it more like sorbet, which is refreshing to eat.

I ate ice cream at a food court with a view of the ski slope. The one on the left is Snow Royal and the one on the right is Airport Ice Cream. The Royal one is rich and sweet, while the Airport one is lighter. I wanted to compare them so I bought both, but ended up eating almost all by myself, so it was a bit too much. I personally preferred the Airport one, but my daughter liked the richness of the Royal one!

In the end, I was planning to eat something at New Chitose Airport but ran out of time. I hurried to a familiar place to have some ice cream. The airport soft serve ice cream, made with plenty of Hokkaido milk and fresh cream, is popular. They also have limited edition fall menu items, and I ordered the Chestnut Chocolate Float for 650 yen. The staff quickly made it and handed it to me. It was a delicious chestnut milk drink with a generous serving of soft serve ice cream on top, topped with chocolate. A harmonious trio of flavors that I enjoyed. Though small, it had the taste of a traditional Hokkaido sweet. Until next year! Thank you for the meal.

After having two meals in a short period of time, I was craving something sweet and wanted to take a break. I explored the third floor area and found many attractive shops, almost getting drawn into them again. Eventually, I ended up at the food court area. All the seats had acrylic boards for social distancing measures. I found a famous shop from Hokkaido. One item on the menu caught my eye, the Airport Soft Serve for 390 yen (tax included), a limited item from New Chitose Airport. Although Snow Brand Parlor is known for their Royal Ice Cream, being a huge soft serve lover, I had to try this one. I ordered, paid, and it was served right away. I quickly sat at a nearby table. It looked like it would melt fast, so I ate it promptly. As expected, the flavor was rich! It's hard to describe, but it's different from the soft serve you find at family restaurants for all-you-can-eat. That one is delicious in its own way, but this one is definitely unique. Thanks to the intense flavor, I finished it in no time. Since there are many soft serve shops at New Chitose Airport, I thought I'd try others as well to savor different flavors. Thank you for the meal.

On the final day in Hokkaido, I visited New Chitose Airport before boarding the plane back home. I had some time before boarding, so I had a bowl of ramen at the Hokkaido Ramen Dojo, a ramen complex within the airport. Still feeling a bit hungry and with 40 minutes until boarding, I decided to head to the food court for another meal. There, I noticed a shop called "Yukijirushi Parlor Food Court Store," which is a cafe specializing in ice cream and dairy products by Yukijirushi Megmilk. I quickly decided to try their "Chocolate Fair Cup Chocolate Chocola" for ¥550. Although I would have liked to try their Snow Royal soft serve if I had more time, I opted for the quicker option this time. The ice cream was served promptly, and I enjoyed it before my ramen pager went off, signaling it was time to finish my meal. The ice cream cup consisted of chocolate soft serve, cocoa biscuits, chocolate sauce, a macaron, and crushed corn for a nice balance of flavors. Overall, it was a satisfying dessert before heading to the security checkpoint with 20 minutes to spare after finishing my ramen and ice cream.

Right after the New Year, I'm at New Chitose Airport to see someone off. Despite it being New Year's Day, there are significantly fewer people compared to usual. The outside temperature is -8°C, very cold, but inside the airport, the heating is on full blast, making it quite warm. I had some soft serve ice cream to cool down! I chose the "Airport Soft Serve" from Yuki Jirushi Parlor (tax included 418 yen). This is what soft serve ice cream should be like - the sweetness, smoothness, and creaminess were just right. A classic milk soft serve that was delicious. Thank you, Yuki Jirushi!
