I received this as a souvenir. I love Basque cheesecake and have been curious about it for a while, so I am really happy! It comes in a solid white box. When you open it, the cake is nicely baked and there is fluffy wrapping material (I don't know the name) commonly used for gifts. It was frozen, so I thawed it in the refrigerator. I cut the whole cake into 8 pieces at home. The characteristic burnt crust of Basque cheesecake is nice, and while it has a substantial weight, it melts smoothly in your mouth. It is rich and incredibly delicious. I cut it into 8 pieces, but before I knew it, I had eaten 3 pieces haha. It costs around 5000 yen for a whole cake, so it may seem quite expensive, but if you cut it into 8 pieces, it's about 600 yen per slice. It's not expensive at all, and the taste is totally worth it! I would be very happy to receive this as a souvenir. However, it might be more convenient if they sold pre-cut slices. Although the brand of this Basque cheesecake is not disclosed, it is said to be supervised by a certain famous patissier. I'm excited to eat it again at home today. Thank you for the meal!

We let it thaw for about 4 hours and it had the perfect level of firmness. You can adjust the thawing time to get your preferred texture.
