When passing by this restaurant, you can see them searing chicken thighs with flames through the window. I thought it would be even more impressive to watch from the counter seats. I visited for the first time during a long weekend when my daughter came to Fukuoka to visit. We ordered daikon salad, charcoal-grilled chicken thighs, Umakacchan, Toritama, fried potatoes, and mentaiko rice. The daikon salad was generous in portion and perfect for refreshing the palate. The charcoal-grilled chicken thighs were cooked with the bones on and then cut into easy-to-eat pieces before serving. The firm chicken meat with the smoky charcoal flavor was very delicious. It goes well with yuzu pepper. Umakacchan had crispy skin on the outside. Toritama is where you mix chicken meat with lettuce, sweet sauce, and egg yolk. The fried potatoes were thin and my daughter and I fought over them. It's a great restaurant to enjoy chicken in various flavors. From the counter seats, you can't see the flames of the charcoal-grilled chicken thighs unless you stand up due to the height of the wall in front. It would be a good marketing strategy if the flames were visible to the customers inside the restaurant.

As soon as I arrived in Hakata, I was able to make a reservation at this restaurant. I was happy to see they had chicken sashimi available. I had been wanting to try authentic Mizutaki while in Hakata, but other places were fully booked. The Mizutaki here was delicious.

I went on a one night, two day trip to Fukuoka looking for delicious chicken dishes, and made a reservation based on other reviews. Due to a delay in my flight, I had to push back my reservation time and when I called, they kindly agreed to accommodate the change. The restaurant was located about a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station where my hotel was. It was crowded with locals, which got me excited. My son and I enjoyed the Mizutaki course and all-you-can-drink option. We even joked around while sharing the food. We finished every last drop of the Champon noodles soup and were surprised when we got change back from a 10,000 yen bill using a coupon. Thank you for the delicious meal. I may not be able to visit often, but I will definitely recommend it to friends and acquaintances going to Fukuoka.

There were various things going on, and I slipped in just before closing time for a second round, a hot pot party! It was so delicious~ I'd love to come back to this place when things are less rushed and try out more dishes. There were other things I wanted to order, but due to time constraints, I'll have to save them for next time. Thank you for the meal! \(^o^)/

I had sukiyaki and it was delicious as always. I tried various chu-hai drinks and got pleasantly drunk. However, it was a bit disappointing that there were no sweet desserts after the meal. The staff was polite and kind, thank you very much.

I added sesame mackerel to the popular sukiyaki course with all-you-can-drink for 5500 yen including tax. I enjoyed drinking for a solid 2 hours. The dishes that came out were full of Hakata specialties. There was also mentaiko, and the service from the staff was very good. It was a course that I could be very satisfied with.

This day, we stayed in the Hakata Gion area on a family trip, and the restaurant we used for dinner was here. This restaurant serves Mizutaki (chicken hot pot) and has a high rating of over 3.5 stars on Tabelog, with relatively reasonable prices suitable for families with children. It was the only restaurant that met such unreasonable conditions. The restaurant has a casual izakaya atmosphere and service, with tatami seating available for families with children. We ordered the most popular "Hakata Mizutaki Course" for adults, which was discounted from 4300 yen to 3200 yen per person with a Tabelog coupon, plus an additional 1650 yen for all-you-can-drink. The course included various dishes such as appetizers, grilled chicken, special fried chicken, daikon salad, Mizutaki, and Champon (or rice porridge or udon). The grilled chicken was cooked to a medium-rare level, very fragrant and delicious. The special fried chicken was juicy and tasty. The Mizutaki, with a rich and flavorful chicken broth, was delicious, especially the bone-in chicken which was tender and flavorful. We also ordered the restaurant's specialty "Umakachan," which is grilled chicken with crispy skin seasoned with a garlic and pepper soy sauce. The restaurant also served a sweet-tasting oyakodon, ultra-thin French fries, and a variety of shochu drinks for the all-you-can-drink option. Overall, we were satisfied with the taste and prices of the restaurant, but the slow service for food delivery was quite concerning.

We went to eat Mizutaki as a family. We ordered individual dishes instead of a course, so we ordered various items like chicken carpaccio, grilled chicken, and fried chicken to eat before the hot pot. The chicken skin appetizer was very tough to chew. The carpaccio was delicious. The grilled chicken had a nice aroma and tasted good. The grilled stingray fin was tough and hard to eat. As for the Mizutaki we were looking forward to, the soup was...hmm. It tasted kind of like milk. We had high hopes for the Mizutaki, so it was a bit disappointing.

My friend from Hiroshima came to visit and said they wanted to eat motsunabe, live squid sashimi, and sukiyaki. We decided to start with sukiyaki, so we went to "Yamato" restaurant. Before having sukiyaki, we enjoyed charcoal-grilled local chicken, edamame, and fried chicken. We also ordered a dish called "Umakacchan," which turned out to be a grilled chicken dish, not ramen. The sukiyaki we ordered had a lighter taste than it looked. Thank you for the meal!

I visited for the first time and had the water stew course. I was seated at a sunken hearth table and was able to relax. The timing of the dishes being served was perfect, not rushed or too slow, just right. The seasoning of the water stew soup was well-balanced, not too salty or heavy, just right. The chicken was flavorful, not too tough or too soft, and the portion was just right. It was just as good as other restaurants in the same area that charge double the price. I wish it had a bit more depth of flavor, but for this price, the quality was impressive. My companion tried water stew for the first time and was impressed. They also had a decent selection of drinks, including famous ones like Dassai and Hakkaisan. I had the Koimari "zen" and it paired well with the water stew, just as described in the menu. I will definitely be coming back.

Business trip to Kyushu. We reserved a course for Mizutaki at Jidoriya Yamato in Hakata and went there with everyone. That cloudy soup Mizutaki in Hakata is so delicious. Before the Mizutaki, various side dishes were served, and they were all really well made. I made my own shochu highball and drank it. It was amazing. Kyushu is all about shochu. And then Mizutaki. It was so good, I was impressed (laughs). We kept adding chicken and vegetables until the restaurant was about to close...♪

The review said it was a chicken dish restaurant, so I made a reservation and went. It just seemed like a regular izakaya. Some of the menu items listed on Tabelog were not actually available. I think part of the problem was that I went after 8 pm, but even when I ordered, I was told that they were sold out for the day. It was disappointing! There were also some items that I ordered but never received. Overall, I was a bit let down. However, all the staff at the restaurant were friendly and provided good service.

I visited on a regular night and there was no parking available. It seems to be a restaurant chain with several locations in Hakata. The taxi driver didn't know about it. The restaurant was full at the end of the year, so I think reservations are necessary. The seating is on one floor with tables in a sunken kotatsu style, allowing for a relaxing atmosphere. The all-you-can-drink option started with beer! We ordered a variety of dishes such as grilled chicken, vegetable salad, and hot pot to finish with a delicious Hakata-style rice porridge. Hakata's hot pot is so tasty, right? Thank you for the meal!

I wanted to eat Mizutaki, so I searched online, made a reservation, and visited the restaurant. It was a festival night, so there were a lot of people outside. Making a reservation was the right choice! Since it was my first time and I didn't know what to order, I reserved a course. The Hakata Mizutaki Course includes 6 items for ¥3,996 (tax included), but with a coupon, it was ¥3,200 (tax included). The course included: appetizer, daikon salad, grilled chicken thigh with just the right amount of salt, special fried chicken with a crispy outside and flavorful inside, rich and creamy Mizutaki soup, and a filling porridge. The portion was generous, so I asked for less rice. They took the pot away and cooked it separately, then brought it back. It was so delicious that I finished every last bite. The yuzu pepper was also tasty, so I bought some at the airport before leaving. Kyushu has so many delicious foods. It was a delightful meal. Thank you for the feast.

I accidentally arrived close to closing time due to a mistake in the reservation date, but they kindly welcomed me. We had the sukiyaki course, which had more than enough food and was very delicious. I would love to visit again!

The restaurant recommended by a friend was amazing, the charcoal-grilled dishes, fried chicken, and hot pot were all incredibly delicious. I ended up ordering multiple rounds of Kin-Kuro and Kuro Kirishima sweet potato shochu on the rocks. The staff's service was also excellent. Highly recommended!

Visited the restaurant with my boss and colleagues. Chose it because they serve local chicken dishes! Forgot to take a picture, but Umakacchan and local chicken charcoal grill were delicious! Also had a hot pot, which was average. The staff and atmosphere of the restaurant were great, making me want to come back again.
