In Hokkaido, you have to try Genghis Khan (grilled lamb)! Hokkaido Genghis Khan Honten Hakodate Ekimae is located in the Ekimae Yokocho. Since it's in Hokkaido, you can't miss out on Sapporo beer and Genghis Khan. I had made a reservation in advance, so I entered the restaurant right away. They offer a budget-friendly all-you-can-eat option, but I decided to go with a la carte. I started with a toast with beer - Sapporo, of course! They offer raw lamb in different flavors such as salt and miso, but I opted for lamb chops. I grilled them carefully on both sides, as they tend to splatter due to the lack of vegetables to absorb the oil. Once cooked, the lamb was delicious on its own, with a natural sweetness. I tried all three types of raw lamb, but personally, I preferred the plain one. Each person has their own preference. Overall, it was a great dining experience!

Hakodate's best cost-effective Genghis Khan restaurant, Hakodate Genghis Khan Honten, is located just a 1-minute walk from Hakodate Station. They offer all-you-can-eat Genghis Khan for ¥3980 (tax included) for 90 minutes. All-you-can-drink alcohol is available for an additional ¥2000, or soft drinks for ¥600. The menu includes two types of lamb meat, skirt meat, pork belly, a vegetable platter, rice, and miso soup, all for this price! It's wallet-friendly and the raw lamb meat is delicious and tender. The interior of the restaurant is clean and the service from the staff is pleasant. Best cost performance! I'm full and satisfied! Thank you for the meal.

I used to avoid eating lamb because it had a strong taste, but the lamb here was delicious and I enjoyed it. The lunch buffet was fast in terms of ordering and serving, and the price was relatively reasonable for a tourist spot. However, it was a bit of a downside that they didn't provide a list of items included in the buffet. I ended up just ordering the same thing repeatedly because I didn't know what was included. I wish they would provide a clear buffet menu. Also, they didn't bring chopsticks until I asked, which was another negative point. Taking these into consideration, I would rate this experience as ⭐️4.

I visited the restaurant for dinner on a holiday night. They seemed to only accept reservations, probably because it was a holiday, and the location was good, so it was quite busy. I ordered the all-you-can-eat course that included lamb, chicken, pork, vegetables, rice, and miso soup. The lamb meat was delicious, especially with the rich sauce, and I recommend it. The miso soup also helped to settle my stomach after eating a lot of meat. I was worried about the smell of grilling meat sticking to my clothes, but the ventilation was good, so I didn't end up smelling like sheep.

I visited during my trip to Hakodate! I had never really eaten Genghis Khan before, so I was a bit hesitant to try it, but it was delicious without any strong smell! Especially the premium lamb was very tasty! However, it was quite fatty so I didn't need a lot of it haha. I would love to go back if I have the chance!

I visited Hakodate for the first time in many years! When it comes to Hokkaido, you think of seafood! And of course, Genghis Khan (grilled lamb)! So, I decided to start by enjoying a Genghis Khan meal by myself. This restaurant is located about a 2-minute walk to the left from Hakodate Station in a restaurant district. It seemed quite crowded, but I was able to get in quickly because it was early. I was seated at a table for one (technically for two), facing the wall, which seems to be a common style for solo diners. I ordered a few premium Genghis Khan dishes, and the beer was okay. It didn't quite live up to the Genghis Khan I had in Asahikawa, it felt more like a touristy quality. But it wasn't bad either.

This popular restaurant is located right near Hakodate Station, in a great location. You can enjoy authentic Genghis Khan at a reasonable price. The lamb meat is fresh and doesn't have a strong taste, so even those who are not fans of it can enjoy it. (Please note that taste preferences vary from person to person). It is recommended to make a reservation before visiting as there can be long wait times depending on the time of day.

This is a yakiniku restaurant located about a 2-minute walk from Hakodate Station, just a stone's throw away. We stopped by on our way back from seeing the ropeway, feeling very hungry. It was April, but in Hakodate it felt like December with a cold snap. The hot meat and fresh grilled vegetables warmed our chilled bodies and comforted us. The portion felt generous, so I would recommend it to hungry salarymen and students. When you need a power boost, nothing beats meat! Meat is a must for happy travel memories!

In front of Hakodate Station, there is the Hakodate Jingisukan Honten. The sought-after Suffolk lamb is not available, so I ordered the following: premium raw lamb 3 kinds platter, premium raw miso lamb, grilled lamb tongue, and assorted grilled vegetables. All were safe and delicious, but they didn't seem to specialize in anything specific.

I visited during my trip to Hakodate, Hokkaido. When it comes to Hokkaido, I think of Jingisukan, so I chose it. The restaurant is located right next to Hakodate Station in a small dining area. I ordered Jingisukan, of course. The meat was delicious and had no unpleasant smell. And for the drink, I went with Sapporo Classic beer.

Located in Hakodate Ekimae Yokocho, there is a Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue) restaurant. For those who want to eat a lot, the all-you-can-eat Genghis Khan (90 minutes: 3,938 yen) is a great deal. However, if you specifically want to try the raw lamb and rolled lamb, then you must go for the a la carte option. I ordered the premium raw lamb trio (2,398 yen) which included raw lamb, salted lamb, and miso lamb. They were delicious! I also ordered the lamb chop with bone (1,078 yen) but was surprised by its smaller size compared to the picture. I wanted to dig into it more! Since it was very cold in Hakodate, I also had Yukgaejang soup (638 yen) and Bibimbap (748 yen) with rice. I originally wanted the stone-grilled Bibimbap (968 yen) but was told it would take a while, so I opted for the regular one. If you want to try Genghis Khan in Hakodate, I recommend this place as it was delicious! They have private counter seats, so even if you are dining alone, you can enjoy your meal comfortably. I had Genghis Khan by myself and it was fantastic. Operating hours are from 11:00 to 23:00 (Last order at 22:00).

I made a reservation to eat Genghis Khan in Hakodate during my trip to Hokkaido! I have been trying various Genghis Khan dishes in Tokyo, but honestly, I think the quality of the meat is higher in Tokyo. The vegetables were indeed fresh! They were all juicy and crunchy, and delicious.

Weekends and holidays 11:00-23:00 (Last Order 22:00)

During my trip to Hokkaido, I couldn't miss trying Jingisukan, so I had it at the final destination of Hakodate. It's located inside Hakobiba near Hakodate Station. The lamb meat here is not too gamey and not too fatty, making it a healthy option. This place also serves yakiniku, so it's a bit different from the typical Jingisukan hotpot, but still delicious. Even though you can find it in Tokyo, there's just something special about having it in Hokkaido. #HakodateJingisukan #Hakodate #Hokkaido #Jingisukan #HokkaidoTravel #HokkaidoGourmet #HakodateGourmet #HakodateSightseeing #HakodateTravel #Hakobiba #HakodateStation #HakodateStationYokocho

I felt like having Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) so I went to this restaurant. The service was smooth, but I found it disappointing that they didn't bring the Genghis Khan sauce unless I specifically asked for it. The taste was good, but I wished they were more attentive to details.

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy delicious Jingisukan made with fresh lamb. Unlike the Jingisukan you usually eat in Tokyo, the meat here is tender and very easy to eat. We waited for about 1.5 hours with a same-day reservation, so I recommend making a reservation in advance.

Located in Hakodate Station front "Hakobiba". I want to eat Genghis Khan to my heart's content!!! I had the all-you-can-eat option. Genghis Khan All-You-Can-Eat 90 minutes for 3,278 yen (tax included). First, a meat set (raw lamb, lamb rolls, chicken tenderloin, pork kalbi, vegetable assortment), rice, and miso soup are served. Then, you can order your favorite menu items. I recommend the raw lamb. Personally, I find the chicken tenderloin delicious! The chicken is tender and juicy. I kept eating these two types endlessly, occasionally ordering the vegetable assortment before it ran out. When it was about to run out, they would ask if I wanted more. They brought the order quickly, and their generous attitude was pleasant!!! The young male staff, probably part-time workers, are very attentive. It feels good to eat, delicious, and satisfying (●'◡'●), and I left with a full stomach. Yakiniku is the best~

I traveled to Hakodate! When I think of Hokkaido, I think of Genghis Khan! So, I tried to find a Genghis Khan restaurant at night, but there weren't many in Hakodate. The first place I called couldn't take a reservation, but I was able to make a reservation at this restaurant. It was a beautiful restaurant in front of the station. When I entered, I was seated at a spacious table. It was reassuring for families with children. In Tokyo, I had the image of Genghis Khan being all-you-can-eat, so I ordered the all-you-can-eat course. However, this was bad. Instead of Genghis Khan, there was an excessive amount of pork belly, chicken tenderloin, rolled Genghis Khan, and they kept coming without us ordering. We had to finish eating them before we could order anything else. It felt like a punishment. I didn't want to eat chicken, and the rolled Genghis Khan was too strong in flavor. The pork loin was delicious though... It wasn't like the image I had from Tokyo, where only pork loin and vegetables were served. I was really disappointed. The staff were kind and I appreciated that.

We had fish for dinner with the gang, so for the second round, we decided to go for some meat! We headed to this popular Hakodate Jingisukan spot. We arrived around 8 PM and had to wait for about 20 minutes because it was super crowded. ★Raw lamb had no strong taste and was refreshing. They had two types of sauce, sweet and spicy. It was so delicious that we ordered seconds. ★Tokata Roll for 1200 yen was the number one popular dish, so we had to try it. It tended to fall apart when grilled, but it was definitely tasty with lots of fat. There were only 6 pieces, so we shared and enjoyed them together. Overall, it was a delicious Jingisukan experience. Thank you for the meal! ★With this review, I have now collected medals from 1600 restaurants in Hokkaido! Since Hokkaido is so vast, I'll probably need another year or two to reach 2000 and become a Master...

Opened in front of Hakodate Station. All-you-can-eat for 90 minutes, including tax, for 3,278 yen per person! They also have tables for individual grilling, which is nice. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and well-maintained. The all-you-can-eat options include rice, miso soup, vegetables, chicken, pork belly, jingisukan (grilled lamb), and two other types of meat. The cost performance is honestly not great, but the restaurant is very clean and the staff provide excellent service, making it a great place to dine. As for the taste, since it's all-you-can-eat meat, I'll leave it to your imagination. Enjoy!

When staying in Hakodate for a long period for work, eating seafood every day can get a bit much. You start craving delicious meat. However, going to a yakiniku restaurant alone can feel lonely. This restaurant has booths for two people with a wall in front, so you can enjoy Genghis Khan and yakiniku without feeling awkward even when dining alone. They also have the king of lamb meat, Suffolk. If you're not a fan of lamb, they also have delicious wagyu beef. You can also enjoy plenty of grilled vegetables, which can be hard to get when eating out frequently. Additionally, the roaster produces minimal smoke, so your clothes won't smell like barbecue afterwards.
