On January 8, 2023 (Sunday), I purchased two cakes at Takeout Hankyu Umeda. I chose "Truffle Torte" and "Schwarz Zarte Schokola". "Truffle Torte" offers a rich chocolate taste that chocolate lovers will enjoy. "Schwarz Zarte Schokola" is a chocolate mousse cake made with Earl Grey mousse, creating a perfect match of flavors. The Earl Grey mousse is particularly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I have never bought cakes at Hankyu before. I tried the Schwarztee Chocola (648 yen) and Sachertorte (702 yen) at this shop. I wanted to try the Zacher torte de Mel chocolate cake after seeing it recommended as an unforgettable gift on TikTok. I have purchased their chocolates for Valentine's before, but this was my first time trying their cake. The cake comes in a 3.5 size (approximately 10.5cm in diameter) for 2,160 yen, and it is packaged in a luxurious paper bag with a ribbon and a cute wooden box with gold hinges. However, it was a bit difficult to take out of the bag. The cake consists of chocolate sponge with apricot jam on top, all coated in chocolate. The chocolate was crispy, which I liked, but the apricot jam tasted like alcohol, which I didn't enjoy. It wasn't well-received by my family either.

I craved chocolate, so I went to Demel. I have tried Sachertorte before, but this time I bought Truffe Chocolat. The box is very cute and lovely. With the family crest of the Habsburg family, who ruled the Holy Roman Empire, as its logo, it has become a special confectionery shop in Vienna that has been with the royal family for a long period of time. Truffles (3 pieces) - Mandel: Enjoyed the crispy texture and almond flavor. - Demelbitter: A sophisticated chocolate for adults. - Himbeer: The most delicious of the three this time. A single piece with the characteristic sweet and sourness of raspberry puree. It went exceptionally well with the chocolate. Kirschtorte: Tart pastry with vanilla cream, dark cherries, and sour cherries. The combination of the sweetness of the pastry and the freshness of the cherries was delicious.
