In May 2022, a new soba restaurant called "Sokatsu" opened on the main street of Kitashinchi. It is said to be supervised by Chef Ayumi Sato, who was behind the popular but unfortunately closed restaurant "Contoir Fou". The aim is to serve soba that you can enjoy every day without getting tired of it. The restaurant is located on the basement floor of the Shin-Nihon Shinchi Building East Wing. The menu includes options like cold soba (1000 yen), cold soba with clam broth (1200 yen), and seasonal limited hot dipping soba (1200 yen). Toppings are also available for the soba. The reviewer tried the cold soba with recommended natural seri topping (400 yen) and found the soba to be delicious with a strong buckwheat aroma and firm texture. The broth was gentle and refreshing, with condiments like homemade yuzu pepper, mountain wasabi, white onions, and tempura crumbs for added flavor. The reviewer also mentioned that the lunch menu includes dishes like "Curry Dipping Soba" which comes with curry, pork cutlet, and rice for a great value at 1000 yen. Overall, the reviewer highly recommends Sokatsu for its delicious soba and plans to visit again to try the warm soba as well. Great experience!

From JR Kitashinchi Station, walk east and you should find a soba restaurant called TOP5000 on the B1F of this building. It looks like a snack street, but it's quiet during the day. It's a bit eerie, but probably quiet at night as well. I heard some noise coming from over there... Is it here? Around 12:40, about 40% of the seats were filled. I sat at the end of the counter and ordered the curry dipping soba, which seems to be a popular lunch menu item. The soba noodles are very thin and dipping them in curry broth is a bit unusual, but it's delicious. The rice is average, and the pork cutlet is tasty. I paid with a card and left.

There is a hidden soba restaurant operating quietly in the basement of a building with many clubs in Kitashinchi. They have a special touch and attention to detail when it comes to their soba, making it worth a visit. The cold soba comes with a mini katsu curry, which helps satisfy your hunger in addition to the soba. Next time, I might try the dashi curry dipping soba. Check out my YouTube channel for Moroccan cuisine recipe videos: https://youtube.com/@user-cc7ov6ke6f You can search for "世界の料理をご自宅で モロッコ" to find it.

I visited at 11:30 on a regular day. There was no wait, but since there was no sign out until they opened, I was worried if I was at the right place. I ordered the cold soba noodles and pork cutlet curry bowl set for 1,000 yen. The soba noodles were delicious, but the rice was too soft and the portion was a bit small.

I visited this restaurant for the first time on a Friday night after 11 PM, exploring the basement of a building. I was able to enter without any issues. I sat at the counter and carefully studied the menu. I ordered my favorite, quail eggs marinated in dashi, without hesitation and even ordered a second serving. It was delicious. The Wiener egg salad and asparagus with karasumi are also must-try dishes. After enjoying these two dishes in just the right amount, I had the Morekawa soba as the final dish. It looked delicious, but I suddenly felt sleepy and forgot to take a photo. It was the perfect third restaurant for the night.

On a holiday in 2030, I visited this restaurant which was a top hit on Tabelog. I had the cold beef Soba noodles (¥1,600) and the duck dipping Soba noodles (limited time only) (¥1,800) with a warm boiled egg (¥200). The restaurant was a bit hard to find as the sign was not very visible on the building, but I eventually found it on the basement floor. Since it was a hot day, I opted for the cold Soba noodles. The visual presentation of the Soba noodles was impressive and you could tell they were delicious just by looking at them. The texture and taste of the noodles were excellent, making it a truly delicious meal. The cold beef Soba had a light broth with a hint of citrus flavor, giving it a refreshing taste. The duck dipping Soba had a slightly sweet sauce, which paired well with the high-quality noodles. The sauce was a bit too hot, so a slightly lower temperature would have made it easier to eat. I also noticed they had curry dipping Soba available only during lunch, so I would like to come back again for that.

I visited here to eat soba noodles. It was at night, so I was able to enter without waiting. They had collaboration and supervised menus, but since the lingering summer heat, I ordered cold soba noodles. While waiting for the noodles, I also ordered a side dish. The noodles were firm and delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Cold soba noodles for 1,000 yen, with a mini katsu curry rice bowl. It's nice that it's not just a katsu bowl or a curry bowl, but a katsu curry bowl. The cold soba noodles are literally cold, but what's even more delightful is the thoughtfulness put into it. The citrus aroma of the soba noodles is great, and they taste delicious. The restaurant is located on the basement floor of a building in the dining district where clubs line up in Kita-Shinchi, creating a slightly mysterious atmosphere.

Second visit. I finally decided on the cold soba noodles at the last minute. There was a round object on top of the soba... a little taste of dashi sherbet!? Delicious. I mixed it with the soba and ate it. This was a new level of deliciousness. I'm hooked! Next time, I'll try the meat dipping soba!

This is a soba restaurant located in Sonezaki Shindo, Kita-ku, Osaka. It is extremely difficult to make a reservation, and the legendary restaurant "Contoir Fu" has won the Foodlog Award GOLD. I visited this place with the desire to experience even a little bit of the legendary restaurant's essence that I had never encountered before. The entrance is a shuttered sliding door on the basement floor. If you are not aware of the information beforehand, you might think it is closed. The interior of the restaurant is quite small. I ordered the cold soba (with a mini pork cutlet curry bowl) for 1,000 yen including tax. Inside the chilled bowl, there was thin 80/20 soba noodles with a good texture, sherbet-like broth, perfect for hot weather. The curry, however, had a strange sweetness and acidity that I didn't particularly like, but I appreciated the gentle pricing of 1,000 yen for both dishes. It seems you can also pay with electronic money, but since there was no signal in the basement, I paid in cash.

This is a highly recommended restaurant in Osaka where you can enjoy delicious soba noodles. I was impressed by the fact that a little extra effort makes a big difference in the taste. They also serve Okinawan beer. I believe this will be a restaurant I will continue to visit in the future.

I was recommended by an acquaintance to visit this place! It was a bit tricky to find because it's underground and the entrance seemed closed, but I managed to find it in the end. The interior is a bit small with only counter seats. The chef was very friendly and gave a thorough explanation of the menu. The cold curry soba was a first for me, but it was delicious with its thin noodles that mixed well with the curry. I devoured it in no time, it was so good! The mini donburi with beef was also amazing, I wanted to have three more servings of it. I left the place feeling very satisfied with the soba. I would like to try the warm curry soba next time for lunch.

Visit time: 11:25 on a weekday Wait time: 5 minutes (waiting for the restaurant to open) Menu: Cold Soba (with a mini Katsu Curry Don) for 1,000 yen I arrived a little before the opening time. Until the time came, there were no lanterns outside and the building itself was pitch dark. There was a sign saying "Sold out today" in front of the shop, so I was quite anxious about whether the shop was actually open or not. I ordered the cold soba. I realized after ordering that there was an option for a large serving for an additional 300 yen. The cold soba had a sherbet of broth on top, and the broth was ice-cold. It was nice to cool down my body in the hot weather. It had a strong yuzu flavor and was delicious. The soba was a bit firmer with less moisture compared to regular soba. The curry bowl had a strong acidity rather than spiciness, so it might be a hit or miss for some people. The tonkatsu was crispy and very tasty. Spiciness level: ★★☆☆☆ There was hardly any spiciness, so I added the free spiciness powder myself. Thank you for the meal.

Ah, today I drank quite a bit again. It's so hot though. How about finishing with some soba with my friend? We'll go to a hidden soba shop located underground. It's like a secret hideout. The interior has a central counter. Due to the heat, I ordered the chilled Oroshi Soba for 1300 yen with an extra serving for 300 yen! The order came quickly, which was great. The soba had ice in the dipping sauce, making it nice and cold. The soba itself was also chilled, giving it a firm texture with a good bite. It's even more delicious today because it's so hot outside. I'll definitely visit again!

Due to the impact of the Shinkansen, we had to extend our stay for two more days and decided to have soba noodles as our final meal. We ordered the "Sarashina" and the cold soba noodles. The Sarashina was delicious as expected, but the cold soba noodles with ice-cold broth and hot noodles was perfect for the sweltering summer. This restaurant has become a place we would like to visit again at a leisurely pace.

It feels more like a Japanese noodle shop than a soba restaurant. The atmosphere is simple, focusing on enjoying the broth and the texture of the noodles. It's a bit hard to find the location, and the door design looks like a shutter, so I almost left thinking it was closed haha.

Visited the popular soba restaurant "Sokatsu" in Kitashinchi. Before relocating, it was the renowned French restaurant "Contoir Fou" in Kitashinchi that also won the Tabelog Award Gold. Tried the Cold Soba (¥1000) - Soba from "Contoir Fou" in Kitashinchi at this price? And it comes with pork cutlet curry? What a deal. The presentation looks great. And it tastes amazing. The broth is delicious. The soba is thin but perfectly chilled and has a nice texture. The pork cutlet coating is a bit disappointing, but the curry has a flavorful Japanese taste. It was delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone.

I visited around 1:30 pm and they were sold out of meat dipping soba, so I ordered curry dipping soba. The soba is delicious even when eaten on its own, and I felt like it could use some salt with the condiments. The curry is spicy, but you can also taste the umami of the broth.

First, finding the restaurant was quite difficult. Especially when exposed to the intense summer sunlight, my attention was scattered... The shop was quietly operating in the back of the basement floor of a building. The interior of the shop was small, with only about 8-9 seats at the counter. It was mostly women customers, by chance or due to their teamwork, the service was quick and efficient, with orders taken while waiting in line and food served within 5 minutes of seating. In my personal opinion, the meat tsukemen was delicious. I wonder if they offer large portions for anything other than the meat tsukemen. Thank you for the meal.

I was in the Kitashinchi area around lunchtime, so I decided to stop by and was able to get in without waiting. Lucky me. The entrance door was almost closed to keep the air conditioning on, so I briefly thought they were closed. (The door design looks like a shutter, so I think some people might make the same mistake.) Today, I tried the "Niku-tsuke Soba." It's cold soba noodles with chunks of pork belly-like meat in a warm broth to dip them in. There's also a hot spring egg included, which I added to the broth. Instead of sudachi, lime was served with the soba. I recommend trying the refreshing Niku-tsuke Soba.

The restaurant lived up to its reputation, the food was delicious. The noodles were amazing as expected, and the curry dipping sauce was also excellent. The portion size was a bit small, but leaving some to mix with rice was a good idea. The bonus pork cutlet was also delicious. I alternated between dipping in salt and curry. I am very satisfied with the quality at this price.
