One of the highlights of my trip to Osaka was having lunch at Naniwa Soba! I had tried their soba shabu-shabu for dinner last time and loved both the taste and atmosphere, so I wanted to come for lunch this time. This restaurant is also a favorite of a popular Korean star who visits when in Japan. Today, I ordered the Naniwa Soba specialty meat tsuke soba (with yuzu pepper) and the sudachi soba (hot version). It was a rainy and humid day, so I opted for the refreshing sudachi soba. The sudachi soba arrived first. I had to quickly squeeze the sudachi over it. Towards the end, the sourness and bitterness of the sudachi were a bit strong. The specialty meat tsuke soba was quite filling. The staff explained how to eat it, with fried burdock and raw egg as toppings to be added later to change the flavor and enjoy it differently. The meat tsuke sauce was a bit sweet and very delicious! I added the raw egg halfway through, making it smoother, but I personally could do without it. For this portion size, I was very satisfied with the meal for only 950 yen. I definitely want to eat here again when I return to Osaka!

On a Saturday lunchtime, I wandered around the side streets of Shinsaibashi shopping district with no particular craving in mind. I ended up entering this place without much thought. Although the recommended dish seemed to be the meat dipping soba, I felt like having tempura, so I ordered the "Inari Tempura Zaru Soba" for 1078 yen. The soba noodles tasted like something you could find at a regular supermarket, nothing special. The dipping sauce was also average. The tempura, however, was delicious as it was freshly fried. The large and flavorful inari was a pleasant surprise. It seems like this place is quite popular, but I didn't find it particularly appealing, so I don't think I'll be visiting again. Soba-yan is a great place to go with family! The soba hot pot is famous, but I've never ordered it because other menu items are delicious and filling enough for me! The soba menu is also tasty, but my favorite is the mixed rice bowl! They have a good variety of dishes, so you can enjoy snacking while drinking. The staff said that about 80% of the customers are tourists, and at first, they mistook me for a foreigner and brought me an English menu haha. The staff is polite, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is like a traditional Japanese house, which is nice. I will definitely go back! Thank you for the meal!

This is a revisit. I wanted to eat something refreshing, but I didn't want to deal with crowds, so I chose this place with a large capacity. Last time, I sat on the second floor, and the atmosphere was relaxed, and the food was delicious and served quickly. This time, I wanted soba while my friend wanted a rice dish. I had the seasonal tempura set with mixed grain rice, and my friend had the chicken and egg rice bowl with soba noodles on the side. My friend was having trouble deciding on a rice bowl, but the staff explained the options well, so they were able to make a decision smoothly. The soba noodles were cooked to our liking, and the tempura was hot and delicious. The staff also kindly refilled our tea, which was appreciated. The only downside was that there was a couple who seemed to have a delay in their order, and the husband was being rude to the staff. It made me feel uncomfortable. Osaka people really can't wait, huh? It wasn't even that big of a delay for the order to be forgotten. It's not the restaurant's fault. I will come back again. Thank you for the meal.

Strolling in Shinsaibashi✨️ Searched for a place to eat soba with my companion‼️ Found a calm restaurant that feels like a warp from the crowded streets of Shinsaibashi. Ordered the Sudachi Soba and Duck Donburi. The soba noodles seemed to be freshly made in the shop. The noodles had a good texture and tasted refreshing with the Sudachi citrus floating in the broth. The Duck Donburi had a nicely sweet sauce and was delicious.

This is a great place even in the late afternoon, perfect for when you missed lunch. The soba noodles had a lot of meat and were very satisfying! The dipping sauce was delicious too. The mixed rice was not exactly to my taste, but still enjoyable. The portions were quite generous, so I think even men would be satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

While wandering around Osaka, I stumbled upon a restaurant called Naniwa Sobashabu Sohonten in Shinsaibashi. The exterior looked fancy and traditional Japanese. The lunch menu caught my eye, especially the Meat Tsukedon Lunch - a generous portion of meat and soba with rice included. The restaurant was almost full, but I was lucky to get a seat right away. I ordered the lunch set for 1200 yen. It took a bit of time, but when the meal arrived, it was worth the wait. The soba was firm and delicious, and the dipping sauce had plenty of meat and onions. There was also rice, pickles, and a raw egg. I was worried about finishing it all, but it was so tasty that I devoured it all. The fried burdock on the side was a nice touch for flavor variation. I even mixed the leftover rice with the sauce and meat, creating a makeshift sukiyaki. By the time I finished eating and left, the restaurant was full. It's definitely a popular spot, and I would love to visit again when I'm back in Osaka. Delicious food, generous portions - thank you for the meal!

Great atmosphere, good service, decent taste. Just wish there was a bit more soba noodles. But for this price, the service is polite and the soba broth is served well, so I would come back again. It might be pricy at night though. The duck meat was tasty. The eggplant was so-so. I might try the raw water eggplant next time.

First of all, the cost performance is excellent! Not only the taste, but also the customer service is polite and calming. The seasonal menu is very rich, with dishes like eel, pike conger, sudachi, eggplant in summer, matsutake mushrooms in autumn, oysters in winter, and mountain vegetables in spring. The tempura is also delicious, with a refined broth. It is suitable for dining alone, and there are private rooms available for lunch meetings, so it is not a problem.

I visited the restaurant about 10 minutes after it opened, and it was already almost full. It's really popular! I ended up in a cramped seat today. I ordered the "meat dipping soba" for around 1,100 yen with yuzu pepper. The large portion is free, but the regular size is already about 1.5 times the usual amount, so it's more than enough. There was a lot of meat in it. It's nice that you can add burdock and egg to change the flavor. I always go for yuzu pepper, but apparently the most popular is chili oil. It's not something you see everywhere, so I feel like having it occasionally. However, I wish the tea was self-serve. The tea cups are small and it's hard to get a refill.

I tried sudachi soba for the first time in my life! I thought sudachi would just be a decoration, but its rich flavor was amazing and I finished it in no time. The aroma was so nice that I even drank up all the broth! I would love to have a large serving, but it's a classy restaurant so it might not be possible... Unless you have a small appetite, getting the set meal might be more satisfying. There were many people dining alone for lunch, so it's a good place for solo diners.

Tempura soba and sashimi set for 1400 yen. The price is reasonable and the portion size is just right. The retro atmosphere makes you feel like you've traveled back in time. Next time, I want to try their famous dish, "niku-tsuke soba".

I visited around 13:20 on a regular day and there was only one group waiting, so I was seated in about 5 minutes. I wanted to try the "Tempura Set Meal" for 1000 yen, but ended up ordering the "Niku Soba" for 1000 yen. It was delicious with black pepper, green onions, meat, and broth. I finished it in no time. It was tasty!

Visited on May 31, 2023. Yesterday's lunch was at Naniwa Soba. I chose the tempura soba with Hokkaido corn and Awaji Island's new onions, with an additional side of mixed vegetable rice.⁡⁡⁡⁡I was around Shinsaibashi at lunchtime. There are many attractive restaurants in this area, so I always have trouble deciding. However, when I passed by Naniwa Soba after a long time, I found this menu. I was drawn in like a magnet and ended up entering the restaurant. (laughs)⁡⁡⁡⁡Yes, Hokkaido corn and Awaji Island's new onions! With two of my favorite vegetable words included, I couldn't resist.⁡⁡⁡⁡Now, onto the actual meal. The sweetness of the new onions and corn, combined with the crispy tempura, was delicious. No doubt about it! The only regret is that I chose the cold soba, so I think it would taste even better with hot soba.⁡⁡⁡⁡The mixed vegetable rice had a refined taste, and they even served soba-yu (soba water) at the end, making it perfect.⁡⁡⁡⁡It may be a bit pricey for a lunch for a salaryman, but the price is reasonable!⁡⁡⁡⁡It's a seasonal menu, so if you're interested, I recommend trying it soon!⁡⁡⁡⁡Thank you for the meal!

We ordered the "kamosuki" hot pot and a few appetizers a la carte. We shared one serving of the hot pot between two people, and it was enough for us. The drink prices were neither high nor low. The service was good, and we had a very enjoyable time.

I suddenly felt like eating soba, so I decided to visit this place. There were so many delicious dishes on the menu, including seasonal options, that I had a hard time choosing. In the end, I settled on a set with tempura soba and inari sushi. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even to someone as indecisive as me. My wife and I tried the seasonal soba meal for 2,618 yen (including tax) for the first time. We had soba sushi, which is made by rolling cucumbers in soba instead of rice and then wrapping it in seaweed. It had a light taste. The new onion miso dish was the most delicious. The soba was all-you-can-eat, and we had 2 extra servings, but it took time because they boiled it each time, which was a bit inconvenient. However, the smooth soba was delicious and had a good texture.

<First Visit> I visited for dinner. The staff in the warm atmosphere were busy but the food came quickly after ordering. The dishes were so beautiful that it made my mouth water. It was cold outside, so the food warmed me up. The meat soba had delicious broth and lots of green onions, which was great. The fried burdock was so tasty, it became addictive! Good value for money.
