On Thursday at 12:00, I went to "Yudezou" at Kashiwa Station. I ordered the "Meat Curry Udon (980 yen)". I chose 1 serving of udon out of the options of 1 serving or 1.5 servings. It arrived in 8 minutes. I took a bite. Delicious. The curry soup has a strong thickness and a rich dashi flavor. It has basic ingredients like leeks, onions, and fried tofu with plenty of beef. The udon has a good chewiness even in the hot soup, and it is great for both texture and throat. The curry has a hint of spices but is not too spicy. So, I asked for some ichimi pepper to add more spiciness. It has a stable flavor that everyone would like. I was a bit concerned about the curtain being hung upside down. Thank you for the meal.

Zou-san under the station is crowded because the food court at Shouya Mall is closed for renovation. I happened to go there and found many customers flowing in. I ordered the "Understanding Set" which allows you to freely combine dishes - 1.5 times the amount of kitsune udon for the price of 1, a mini chicken nanban donburi with chunky tartar sauce and pickled radish instead of onions. Even though it's a mini size, there's a lot of rice. The katsudon with mini udon set has a thick cutlet that takes 15 minutes to fry. It's delicious but has a huge portion. The cold udon comes with tempura, seaweed, grated daikon radish, and ginger, all well-prepared. It's an interesting restaurant.

Oyster and vegetable tempura udon at Udon restaurant Yudezou in Kusaba Station. I ordered the lunch set which included 3 oyster tempura, vegetable tempura with pumpkin, oba, and enoki mushrooms, and a dish called "kamatama gohan" which is rice topped with a soft-boiled egg. The udon noodles were thick and had a nice chewy texture. It was my first time trying oyster tempura on udon, and it was surprisingly delicious.

I wasn't very hungry, but I decided to have a light meal, so I chose udon noodles. It was around 12:30 pm and the restaurant was almost full. I didn't want a heavy lunch like curry udon, so I ordered the cold duck and spicy udon noodles. I opted for 1.5 times the regular portion for an extra charge. I felt a bit guilty for not sticking to my plan. The noodles arrived after a few minutes, served with a generous amount of green onions and what seemed like black pepper sprinkled on top. The noodles had a nice chewy texture and a hint of sweetness from the wheat. The dipping sauce had duck fat floating on top, which paired well with the green onions. The duck meat was not too fatty and had a good flavor. I thought 1.5 portions would be too much, but I managed to finish it easily. I was advised to mix the dipping sauce with ginger broth, which enhanced the flavor. Overall, it was a delicious meal and I even received a 50 yen discount coupon. This counter seat-focused restaurant is perfect for small groups looking to enjoy some udon. This time, I ordered the popular spicy beef tendon and eggplant bukkake udon. The cold bukkake broth, perfect for summer, had a spicy kick to it and paired excellently with the fatty beef tendon and crispy grilled eggplant. The udon itself, made with firm Sanuki udon, was delicious. I highly recommend visiting this place. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I came here. It's an udon restaurant located in "El Kuzuha", directly connected to Keihan Kuzuha Station. There are several branches of this restaurant when I looked it up. I arrived around 1 o'clock and the cozy interior with jazz music playing had a small kitchen in the back right, counter seats for 8 in the front, and 4 small tables for 2-4 people on the left. The place is run by 4 veteran staff, both men and women. The menu offers a variety of udon dishes as well as a lot of sake options, giving it a bit of a pub-like atmosphere targeting salarymen on their way home from work. Today, I ordered the most popular item, the "Meat Curry Udon & Rice Set". They told me, "You can have 1.5 to 2 servings of udon for free♪", but I didn't have much of an appetite so I declined. After a while, my order arrived. The curry-colored broth was rich with a good dashi flavor, not too thick, and had a slightly spicy kick probably from the spices. The medium-thick udon had a weighty feel to it, lacking in stretchiness and firmness, giving it a somewhat mediocre texture that wasn't particularly outstanding in terms of udon taste. Inside, there were meat pieces, tempura, onions, and green onions. As I ate, I started to sweat a bit... I finished when the rice was gone. If it had been deliciously spicy, I would have had no problem finishing it, but it was just excessively spicy. With a price exceeding 1000 yen including tax, it's not very cost-effective without the extra udon. Overall, the service was good. Thank you for the meal. Personal perspective: Prices displayed exclude tax, no wheelchair access, restrooms are inside "El Kuzuha", and there is no parking available.

Recently, maybe it's because I'm getting older, but when it's cold, I start craving udon more than ramen. I had some work in the area, and normally I would go to the big Kuzuha Mall to eat, but there's a common place in a run-down building near the station with a variety of eateries. Why is it so crowded on a weekday?! I couldn't resist and ended up trying the horumon udon. There were mixed reviews about the horumon udon, with some saying the soup is delicious but the horumon itself is tough and smelly. I cautiously ordered the tsukemen style and while waiting in line, I heard someone raving about the curry udon at this place. When I sat down, the person next to me was also having the curry udon and it looked so appetizing. But finally, my udon arrived! The lunch special allows you to have up to 2 servings of noodles for the same price, but that was too much for me to handle. It was delicious! It was described as spicy, but it wasn't too overwhelming so I added extra shichimi pepper. The rumored horumon was surprisingly good, with chunks of flavorful meat. It was a cold day, so I ordered hot noodles, but I think cold noodles would have been better with a firmer texture. Through this udon experience, I realized that I prefer bold flavors, and I also discovered that I can't handle the thick, brothy ramen styles that are popular nowadays. Overall, the price was a bit on the higher side for the vibe of the place, but I would like to try the curry udon someday! Though, I don't have any plans to visit Kuzuha anytime soon...

Visited the restaurant with a friend at noon on a regular day. Finally ordered the curry udon that I had been looking forward to. Added a pork cutlet as a topping. When asked about the number of noodle servings, I was told that up to 2 servings were free, so I requested 2 servings. The dish arrived after a short wait, and the plate was huge! I briefly wondered if I could finish it. The curry had a strong broth flavor, and it reminded me of one of the two types of curry broth I had imagined. It was delicious. The pork cutlet was crispy and maintained its texture even when soaked in the curry broth. Next time, I want to try a portion with about 1.5 servings and enjoy it to the fullest. Looking at the menu, I saw that there were many other types of curry udon available, so I feel like I can continue to enjoy this restaurant. Three missiles, three stars.

I visited the restaurant alone during the daytime. The place was packed, everyone around the Kasuga station area seems to love udon. Since the people at both ends were eating curry udon, I decided to try the A lunch set instead. It came with rice and was very filling. The texture of the noodles was unique, thick and chewy, filling my mouth with every bite. Maybe this type of noodle goes better with a curry-like thick sauce rather than a regular broth. Both the udon and rice were delicious. Next time, even if the people at both ends are having curry udon, I want to order the curry udon. I give it 3 missiles out of 5 stars.

Located near the Kashiwa station gate, across from Ganko Sushi, this place used to be a udon shop in the past. I ordered the beef tripe udon, which was on the pricier side at almost 1000 yen. The udon took a bit of time to be served, but when it arrived, it had a rich soy sauce-based broth with plenty of green onions and beef tripe. The noodles were average, lacking a strong texture possibly due to the soup base. The beef tripe was tender but difficult to chew, despite having good flavor. The soup was flavorful with a slightly salty punch, complemented by the beef tripe essence. The hot soup made it challenging to eat, but the portion of noodles was generous. The restaurant offers a variety of drink options, including mini udon and appetizers for those looking to enjoy a quick drink at the counter. The smoking policy may not be ideal for non-smokers, but the convenient location, extensive menu, and decent taste make it worth another visit.

I had lunch at "Yudezou" in "El Kuzuha" at Keihan Kuzuhara. The menu is extensive. I was interested in the tsukemen and ordered the "Cold Beef Tendon Tsukemen" with "Double Noodles". You can get free extra noodles up to two servings. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the dish arrived! The generous amount of dipping sauce was the best part (^○^). The noodles had a nice chewiness and a smooth texture. There were plenty of beef tendons and white leeks as well. After finishing the noodles, I ordered ginger soup and added it to the dipping sauce. Since the original flavor is strong, it's better to dilute it quite a bit. I finished everything completely (^-^)v. Thank you for the meal (^人^). I received a 50 yen discount coupon for the next visit at the register.

It's a small shop, but even during busy times, the kitchen staff work efficiently so the turnover is good. They also have a great selection of snacks to go with drinks, which is much appreciated.

It may take a bit longer as it is made to order. The udon has a nice chewy texture. Even with 1.5 servings, it is quite filling. The hormone topping has a good flavor when chewed. Although it is a bit pricey, at just over 1000 yen, the cost performance is good! Will definitely come back!
