Despite the unfortunate rain, you can reach OKUROJI without getting wet. It’s conveniently accessible from Ginza, Shimbashi, and Hibiya, allowing you to arrive almost entirely indoors. This restaurant just opened last October. The casual atmosphere inside offers enough space between tables, making for a comfortable dining experience. We started with a toast over beers and lemon sours, and after asking the staff for recommendations, we ordered the luxurious yukhoe made with high-quality "Kainomi" cut of beef. It was incredibly tender with no gamey taste and a subtle sweetness. The "Choregi Salad" features fresh spring vegetables picked that morning by the head chef from Kanagawa, complemented by a unique sudachi citrus dressing. This was unlike any Choregi Salad I’ve had before. The avocado kimchi was also delicious—mild without any unpleasant spiciness, making it easy to enjoy. I had to hold back, though, to avoid filling up before the main event: the yakiniku. We began with thickly sliced "tan" (beef tongue) that had a delightful crunch. Even though it was substantial, it cut easily and had a rich flavor. We enjoyed it with sudachi instead of lemon, which made it milder and easier to eat. The "harami" (skirt steak) was surprisingly juicy and fatty—this was an unexpected delight. I sampled it with wasabi soy sauce and bamboo grass miso. The liver was fresh; I resisted the urge to eat it raw and made sure to grill it thoroughly on both sides, resulting in a soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture with no distinctive liver odor, needing no extra seasoning. The "Aonagi Mil feuille" is likely a signature dish here. Thinly sliced meat is coated in sauce, arranged in a circle on the grill, and topped generously with green onions. This dish was undoubtedly delicious. Nowadays, many dishes prioritize appearance, but this one excelled in both looks and flavor, with the green onions adding a perfect textural contrast. The "kalbi" (short ribs) were exceptionally indulgent, delicately fatty, sweet, tender, and rich—truly the essence of yakiniku. "Rosu" (loin) featured fine marbling and a velvety texture with no sinew. I learned that this is a premium cut called "ribu shin." The "shimachiyou" (intestines) were rich and deep in flavor, with a sweetness that became apparent as you chewed, yet surprisingly not overwhelming. We ended the meal with cold noodles, which were light and perfectly balanced in flavor—not too sour for my taste. While the quality of the meat was exceptional with no complaints, I also appreciated the thoughtfulness in the dressings and condiments. The restaurant name may suggest a traditional approach, but they have a commendable attitude toward incorporating new and high-quality elements into their offerings.

The meat is relatively expensive, but the quality definitely exceeds the price, which makes for a satisfying experience. I especially recommend the thick-cut beef tongue and the premium liver. I was a bit disappointed that the grill was small for three people, but I appreciated that they changed the grill mesh quite regularly. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal!

I visited Mame Daifuku at Hibiya Okuroji! The atmosphere was calm, and the grilled meat was carefully prepared! The homemade kimchi had a moderate spiciness and was refreshing! The choryeok salad featured seasonal vegetables, allowing me to feel the seasons in this dish! With a pleasant acidity, it served as a great palate cleanser! The yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) was served in a way that you could wrap it in seaweed and dip it in sauce, allowing for a custom flavor intensity! The kalbi (short ribs) showcased a sweet richness from the fat, providing a classic deliciousness that made every bite delightful! The harami (skirt steak) was juicy and tender, bursting with a robust flavor in my mouth! The rosu (loin) had a rich red meat taste and a moist texture that was truly appealing! Each item changed in flavor with the grilling time, making it enjoyable until the very last bite! The rare duck meat was provided simply grilled with salt, standing out with its unique flavor among the grilled meat options! The cold noodles were carefully prepared with eggplant, green onions, and okra, blending perfectly with the broth, resulting in an outstanding dish! The cozy and stylish space made for a great experience!

It was a delicious and satisfying yakiniku experience! The homemade kimchi, yukhoe, and salad were also very tasty, clearly made with care. Each type of meat came with its own dipping sauce, allowing us to enjoy a variety without getting bored. The specially selected thick-cut beef tongue and the mille-feuille grilled beef were especially exquisite! I highly recommend it, so definitely give it a try!

This was my first experience at OKUROJI. It's a charming area with many interesting shops, and the atmosphere is lovely despite the rain. Today, I went to a restaurant called Mame Daifuku for some barbecue. They served a unique course menu, bringing out different types of meat one after another, and everything was delicious! From the creative appetizers to the cold noodles at the end, it was all great. Thank you for the meal! And don't forget the QR code when you go to the restroom!

I made a reservation and visited on a weekday evening. I noticed a significant difference between the bustling restaurants and the quieter ones in OKUOJI, and this place was definitely one of the busy ones. Making a reservation was a good choice. There were two types of menus offered: the daily specials and the regular menu. - **Kyo-kamo Autumn Grilled Duck with Shiitake Mushrooms (¥1078)**: The duck meat was thickly cut, accompanied by shiitake mushrooms. There were eight pieces, and the flavor was already present, though you could add shichimi pepper to taste. The meat had a firm texture and required some chewing, while thinner slices would have been easier to eat. The shiitake mushrooms were delicious. - **Special Thick-cut Salted Beef Tongue (¥2178)**: Four thick slices of tongue were served. They are enjoyed with sudachi (a type of citrus), and even when grilled by myself, they were very tasty. Despite the thickness, they were tender, juicy, and flavorful. - **Harami (¥1848)**: It was so tender and fatty that it could easily be mistaken for kalbi (short ribs). Absolutely delicious! - **Avocado Kimchi (¥748)**: The combination of avocado and kimchi was fantastic—definitely a must-order dish. - **Gomtang Kuppa (¥1078)**: This was served pre-portioned for each person, and the quantity was quite satisfying. It had a lot of vegetables, including burdock, purple cabbage, and shiitake mushrooms, which added a seasonal touch. The spiciness was mild and easy to eat. The staff was attentive, frequently changing the grill and offering guidance on cooking. During my previous visit, the restaurant had only recently opened, but I still felt it was a great place. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal! The site rating at the time of posting was 3.53.

Tonight's feast took place under the railway bridge between Yurakucho and Shimbashi stations at the recommended yakiniku restaurant, Yaki Niku Mame Daifuku, located in Hibiya OKUROJI. We started with a round of draft beer and All-Free, cheers! The manager explained the menu, and the seasonal specials looked so enticing that we decided to order mostly from the recommendations. - **Namul (seasoned vegetables)**: Featuring seasonal vegetables like the rare Yamagata's Funagata mushrooms, Hiroshima's Megahira fragrant maitake, and romanesco. Each ingredient had a delicate aroma and umami, with the fragrant aroma of yam delightfully wafting through. - **Avocado Kimchi**: This was also unusual. The kimchi brought out the natural sweetness of the avocado, making it almost devoid of spiciness, which felt like magic. - **Special Thick-cut Beef Tongue**: Despite being thick, the texture was perfectly tender. It paired wonderfully with the vibrant acidity of Kochi's Sudachi citrus, making a delightful combination. - **Salad of Seasonal Vegetables**: The thoughtful service of portioning individual servings was appreciated. The crispy texture of the jumbo beans from Ibusuki in Kagoshima and the purple cabbage was enjoyable. - **Grilled Kyoto Duck**: The dish that really caught our attention from the recommended menu. The nicely grilled duck paired with Kujo green onions in white dashi and enjoyed with the dipping sauce was heavenly. - **Red Meat Roast (Uwamisuji)**: This was mentioned casually, but it's a rare cut! The concentrated umami of the meat was complemented by its low fat content, giving it a light feel. Comparing the refreshing soy sauce dip and the slightly rich miso dip, the miso dip won this round! - **Harami (skirt steak)**: It had excellent fat marbling and rich flavors. Here again, the light soy sauce dip was the winner! - **Kalbi (beef short rib)**: Wait, is this just regular kalbi? It was incredibly delicious! Even with fat, it had a clean finish. Here, it was tough to choose between the miso and soy sauce dips! Throughout the meal, they kindly changed the grill every time we switched to a different meat. - **Cold Noodles**: The harmony of flavors from the duck broth, mushroom broth, and clam broth was mesmerizing. I’ve never experienced such a rich cold noodle soup. Every ingredient, like the grilled green onions and eggplant, was superb. What I felt in this yakiniku restaurant was something unique—this is "yakiniku that celebrates the seasons." The exquisite selection of ingredients and delicate cooking was a sensory delight. The attentive service from the staff made for a comfortable dining experience. It was incredibly delicious! Thank you very much!!

I visited a yakiniku restaurant located in OKUROJI in Hibiya. It opened just last October, and I was looking forward to it because of its great reputation! Here's what I ordered: - **Avocado Kimchi:** Made with a homemade seasoning, it paired perfectly with the avocado! I really liked the flavor. - **Kimchi Assortment:** Since the avocado kimchi was delicious, I decided to try this as well. The napa cabbage was excellent, but I particularly loved the long yam kimchi. - **Premium Thick-Sliced Tongue:** Instead of lemon, they served this with sudachi (a type of citrus). It was refreshing and great. - **Premium Thick-Sliced Harami (Skirt Steak):** You can tell it’s good meat just by looking at it, and it definitely lived up to my expectations! Juicy and thick, it had a satisfying bite. Highly recommended! - **Kalbi Marinade:** The marinade was tasty, and the meat had no unpleasant odor, making it easy to eat. - **Lean Roast with Ginger Sauce:** The ginger-infused sauce was exquisite! It complemented the rice well without feeling too heavy. - **Negi Shio Millefeuille Yaki:** Just looking at it made my appetite surge. It was incredibly delicious—so much green onion! - **Choregi Salad with Fresh Vegetables:** Made with seasonal vegetables, it was fresh and delicious. - **Premium Liver:** Rich in sesame oil fragrance, it was thick and had a nice chewy texture. - **Kyoto Duck with Kujo Green Onion and Dashi Soy Sauce:** I don't often get the chance to eat duck, but it was very easy to eat with no gamey taste that I worried about. - **Seasonal Vegetable Cold Noodles:** The vegetables were incredibly fresh, colorful, and beautiful. The sudachi and dashi sauce made it a lovely dish. Everything I ordered was delicious, and the cost performance was excellent, so I want to go back again! The staff was very polite and provided thorough explanations. They frequently replaced the grill for us, showing they really care about their customers.

I heard that the restaurant just opened last October, and after reading great reviews, I decided to check it out. Located in the OKUROJI area of Hibiya, it’s conveniently close to the station, making it a great spot. Since it’s run by a butcher, all the meat we ordered was delicious. The sauces were also tasty. Here are my top recommendations from what I tried: - **Avocado Kimchi**: The homemade seasoning is delightful! It pairs perfectly with avocado. - **Special Thick Cut Harami**: The thickness is impressive, and you can really taste the quality of the meat. It was very satisfying. - **Red Meat Roast**: The roast marinated in sauce is mouthwatering. It goes perfectly with white rice. - **Negi Salt Millefeuille Grill**: Topped generously with green onions, this dish was also delicious. It’s a must-try with rice. - **Farm Fresh Choregi Salad**: Made with plenty of seasonal vegetables, it’s very fresh and lightened up with sudachi dressing. **Overall**: This yakiniku restaurant offers tasty dishes no matter what you order. Everything we had was delicious and reasonably priced. The owner’s warm and attentive service was also a big plus.

I thought the price, atmosphere, and overall service were well balanced, and I would like to visit again! I think it's a great place for a casual date, even for women. The harami, tongue, chadol-bagi (short rib), gom-tang soup, and sweet potato ice cream were especially delicious.

I ordered the following: premium beef tongue, sliced beef belly, short ribs, lean beef, some kind of offal, a four-kind namul (seasoned vegetable), avocado kimchi, cold noodles, highball, sudachi sour, lemon sour, red wine, tomato sour, and umeboshi (plum) sour. The beef tongue can be upgraded to include lots of green onions for an extra 200 yen, and that's highly recommended. Normally, you would use lemon, but here they serve it with sudachi. For the beef belly, rib eye, and short ribs, you can choose between salt or sauce, but the main idea is that the sauce is delicious, so I opted for sauce on everything. Everything was tasty, the restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly, so I would definitely like to come back if I get the chance. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the newly opened Hibiya OKUROJI for the first time. The atmosphere was calm, and there weren’t many tourists around. The interior was a bit dim and elegant, which made me understand why many people say it’s a hidden gem. This time, I ordered the Choregi Salad, grilled beef tongue, prime kalbi, duck meat millefeuille, sukiyaki with egg, and cold noodles. With this amount, we were quite full. The cold noodles were thick and felt a bit like ramen, so they were a bit heavy for my taste as a final dish. However, everything else, including the quality of the meat, the restaurant's atmosphere, and the service, was great, so I would love to visit again! ^ ^

Just a 5-minute walk from Yurakucho Station, there is a renowned yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant located within "Hibiya OKUROJI," which has a rating of 3.53 during my visit. The restaurant opened in October 2023 and has already received that rating on Tabelog as of October 2024. Recommended by a yakiniku-loving friend for its great cost-performance and quality of meat, I decided to visit! First, we ordered the must-have homemade napa cabbage kimchi (680 yen), which had a pleasantly spicy flavor. The assorted namul (680 yen) included classic items like bean sprouts and spinach, along with a stylish brigasu made from mushrooms! The signature dish, "Mame Daifuku Yukhoe" featuring the Kainomi cut (1,280 yen), is best enjoyed wrapped in Korean seaweed; the light seasoning means that adding a little dipping sauce boosts the flavor nicely. The house special, thick-cut seasoned beef tongue (1,980 yen), is a must-order! After grilling it to a perfect crisp, instead of lemon, they serve it with a sauce made from Kochi’s sudachi citrus, which adds a refreshing taste—truly delightful. I also ordered Kyoto-style duck grilled with Kujo green onions and dipping soy sauce (1,280 yen), which paired wonderfully with the sweetness of the sauce, showcasing a distinctive Kyoto flavor. For the grilled meats, we had the superior short rib (1,680 yen), red meat loin (1,280 yen), and wagyu flank (1,680 yen)—perfectly complemented by rice, which disappeared in no time! To finish off, we tried the recommended seasonal cold noodles (980 yen) served in a blend of duck, mushroom, and clam broth, topped with okra, eggplant, and grilled green onions. The noodles had a smooth texture and blended beautifully with the flavorful broth. Our total bill for two came to about 17,000 yen, averaging around 8,500 yen per person, which is great value! The staff provided attentive and friendly service, making for a pleasant dining experience. Since it was a weekend, the place was nearly always packed, so it's best to make a reservation before visiting. Thank you for the meal! Definitely check it out! Also, please follow my Instagram @mickey_foodie99! Rating at the time of the review: 3.53 with 83 reviews.

I found a stylish yakiniku restaurant in Toranomon Yokocho! They use only wagyu for their meat, and the balance of lean and fatty cuts was just perfect and delicious! The yukhoe and tongue were especially tasty! Besides the meat, they also had various dishes like kimchi, cold noodles, and ice cream, all of which were super delicious, so I highly recommend it!

The cost-performance is excellent, and the millefeuille grilled meat is a must-order. The sukiyaki style is popular, and I ordered that, but I should have also tried the one with green onions. The chuck eye roll with wasabi soy sauce was delicious! Overall, the staff frequently changed the grill, and their presence around the restaurant made for a stress-free experience. The atmosphere, price, and quality were all just right, making it a very user-friendly place.

I heard great reviews about the cost performance, so I decided to visit with a friend. The meat was delicious, especially the sukiyaki, which was outstanding. We ate and drank to our hearts' content at such a reasonable price, so I’m very satisfied.

I made a reservation for 4 PM on a weekday and arrived right as they opened! Since they opened at 4 PM, there were no other customers, which allowed me to enjoy my barbecue in peace. The quality of the meat wasn't outstanding, but considering the price, I was very satisfied with the overall experience!

Located just a 4-minute walk from Shimbashi Station, "Hibiya OKUROJI," which connects Shimbashi and Yurakucho, features a stylish town barbecue restaurant called Odo Yakiniku Mame Daifuku. Here’s what to expect from this place: - Exceptional sauce, high-quality meat, and reasonable prices. - Must-try dishes include the special tongue, green onion mille-feuille, and kalbi. Having opened less than a year ago, it’s a relatively new establishment that attracts many female customers with its chic interior. To cut to the chase, this place is a hidden gem! The meat quality is excellent, and the seasoning is top-notch. The restaurant also puts effort into side dishes like kimchi and salads; the chef personally selects vegetables from local farms for the salads, and the kimchi is made using seasonal vegetables pickled in-house. **This is a must-order.** - The green onion mille-feuille is a classic yet creative dish that tastes fantastic. - The special salt-grilled tongue, using a rare part from the tongue, is so tender that you can feel the softness just by using tongs. It’s simply exquisite. - Jumbo mushrooms change with the seasons, and that day featured large mushrooms paired with a refreshing salsa verde sauce. - The kalbi, with its flavorful tare sauce, is a must-try since the restaurant comes from a barbecue region, combining a junky taste with fruity acidity—this is a dish you can't miss with rice. Shimbashi is the go-to spot for barbecue, and the value for the variety and quality is remarkable! Thank you for the meal. I ordered a three-type kimchi platter, Mame Daifuku's yukhoe, cheoregi salad, special tongue salt, green onion mille-feuille, jumbo mushroom, kalbi, wagyu harami, and a small bowl of rice as well as cold noodles.

Hello! This time, I visited "Oudou Yakiniku Mame Daifuku," located about a 5-minute walk from Shimbashi Station, in a corner of "Hibiya OKUROJI." There are many great restaurants in Hibiya OKUROJI, and I've been there several times, but this was my first visit to this particular place! The interior and the atmosphere of the elevated street are really nice, which got me quite excited! Here’s what I ordered: - Mille-Feuille Yaki (Negi Salt) - Premium Tongue Salt - Special Thick Cut Tongue Salt - Kalbi - Sauce - Premium Loins - Sauce - White Mino - Avocado Kimchi - Farm Vegetable Cholegi Salad - Cold Noodle Upon entering, the staff kindly asked for my first drink order and explained the day’s recommendations in detail! They shared interesting details that sparked my curiosity, so I decided to order some of their recommended items. ◉ Farm Vegetable Cholegi Salad They use freshly harvested seasonal vegetables! That day’s selection included green beans, cherry tomatoes, edamame, lotus root, and white corn! The taste was reminiscent of nature’s bounty, with the lotus root and white corn being particularly outstanding. They kindly offered to serve it in portions if requested! ◉ Avocado Kimchi This dish intrigued me from the name. Fresh avocado chunks paired excellently with kimchi. I was amazed at how well avocado could work as kimchi. I couldn't stop eating it with my chopsticks and enjoyed some drinks too! ◉ Special Thick Cut Tongue Salt Even though it was thickly cut, it melted in my mouth effortlessly. The texture and flavor were top-notch! I enjoyed it with a citrus sauce made from Kochi Prefecture’s direct 7 suzuki, which was also fantastic! ◉ Mille-Feuille Yaki (Negi Salt) As the restaurant’s recommended dish, I had a choice between sukiyaki or negi salt, and I opted for negi salt! It looked stunning before cooking, and it was delicious! Everything about it—the appearance, taste, and portion—was impeccable. The staff cooked it for me, which was really helpful. ◉ Kalbi and Premium Loins For these two, I could choose between salt sauce, regular sauce, or salt pepper, so I went with sauce for both! The loins were from the sirloin section! The cost performance for the sauce meats was impressive—it was hard to believe that such great taste could be had for this price! ◉ White Mino Whenever I go to a yakiniku place, I always order some offal, and this time I chose white mino. I could select from miso sauce, salt sauce, or spicy sauce, and I swiftly chose spicy! The texture and quality were superb! Just a slight change in the cooking time altered the taste of the fresh white mino! It’s a must-order. ◉ Cold Noodle I couldn't finish a yakiniku meal without cold noodles. This dish also used seasonal vegetables, and the broth was made from mushrooms, duck, and clams. The toppings included okra, shiitake mushrooms, eggplant, and white leek. To summarize, both the broth and vegetables were outstanding. I couldn't choose a favorite among the veggies—everything was exceptional! The noodles were also delicious, but the flavors from the vegetables and broth alone were enough to make a great cold noodle dish. They also offered to serve it in portions! I was completely full. The calm atmosphere, high-quality meat, and fresh vegetables made for a very satisfying experience. The service was exceptional, making for a comfortable environment that encouraged me to enjoy my drinks. I could casually indulge in high-quality meat without breaking the bank. I was genuinely impressed to find such great yakiniku beneath the elevated tracks. I was moved by the vegetables! The restaurant suits a wide range of occasions, so I’ll definitely visit again! Located under the elevated tracks between Yurakucho and Shinbashi, "Hibiya OKUROJI" is a stylish dining area featuring a popular yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant. True to its claim of being a classic, the atmosphere and menu of the restaurant provide a reassuring familiarity, and the meat is outstandingly delicious! Opened in October 2023, it’s still a relatively new place, and I suspect its Tabelog score is steadily rising. I had saved this place based on high ratings from my followers, and this time, three of us men decided to visit. There’s no set course; instead, we ordered a la carte. The prices for each dish are quite reasonable. We simply ordered drinks and the meats we wanted, grilling them on the small roaster right in front of us. ◇ Kimchi trio (1,078 yen) ◆ Premium salted tongue (1,628 yen) ◆ Wagyu harami (1,848 yen) ◆ Premium kalbi (1,848 yen) ◆ Special three-piece assorted platter (2,178 yen) ● Misuji ● Sirloin ● Ichibo ◆ Mille-feuille grilled sukiyaki (1,738 yen) ◆ Mille-feuille grilled with green onion salt (1,738 yen) ◆ Shimachou (858 yen) ◇ Comtan soup (red, 968 yen) ◇ Cold noodles (968 yen) I was wondering what "classic yakiniku" could possibly mean, but after seeing the menu, it made sense. Forgetting about complex cuts of meat, the concept is to enjoy a straightforward and classic menu featuring only tongue, kalbi, harami, and loin! Everything was incredibly tasty! In the end, even though it strays from the "classic yakiniku" definition, we also tried the "special three-piece assorted platter," which was recommended outside of the main menu. The marbling was beautiful, with just the right thickness, delivering a level of exquisite flavor that truly stood out. The restaurant also promotes the "mille-feuille grilled" option. You lay thinly sliced meat generously on the roaster, creating a fluffy steaming effect as it cooks, allowing everyone to share and enjoy. Out of the three types, the "sukiyaki" was exceptional in flavor, especially when dipped in egg yolk. It was so delicious that we also tried the "green onion salt" version. Since we were ordering mainly the "premium" items and each of us had four drinks, the bill came out to just about 8,000 yen per person. Given how much we drank and ate, that's quite a reasonable price. The location is convenient, the atmosphere is great, and the prices are budget-friendly, so I definitely want to come back!
