Halfway, a yakiniku restaurant located a 5-7 minute walk from Nishiohashi Station. A longstanding yakiniku restaurant where you can enjoy rare Iga beef yakiniku and sukiyaki. Selected as one of the top 100 yakiniku restaurants in 2022 by Yakiniku West. Reservations are made by phone, where you must choose between yakiniku or sukiyaki in advance, along with specifying the number of people. The menu is limited, with choices mainly revolving around types of meat, accompanied by grilled vegetables, rice, miso soup, and pickles. This time, we tried the Grilled Fillet Course. The course started with a healthy leaf vegetable appetizer and a salad filled with paprika and sunny lettuce. A generous amount of fillet meat was served, alongside grilled vegetables. The meat and vegetables were cooked in a special sauce that enhanced their flavors. The fillet meat was incredibly tender, easily cut with chopsticks. The unique taste of Iga beef was impressive, leaving a satisfying impression. The meat was perfectly cooked, allowing us to fully enjoy its quality. The combination of slightly spicy sauce with the meat was excellent, making us crave more beer and rice. When making a reservation, ordering meat is required. On this day, there were two of us visiting, so we ordered the Filet and Sirloin when making the reservation. It's a bit pricey, but it comes with side dishes, salad, rice, miso soup, and grilled vegetables. The meat, with plenty of marbling, is dipped in sauce and grilled. It's tender and delicious. They also provide salt, but they recommend grilling the vegetables in the sauce as well. The shiitake mushrooms are thick and tasty. Finally, we ordered an additional Chuck Flap. The quality of the meat was excellent, and all the meats were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

If it's meat, our favorite restaurant in Japan is the best. Whenever we come to Osaka, we always request to be taken to Hanzo-san. This day, we made a reservation for 6 people. It was a long time since we last visited Hanzo-san. The cheerful owner personally grilled the meat for us, and we savored the joy of meeting him again while watching the meat being cooked. The original dipping sauce here is so popular that my friend who always goes with me says, "I wish they sold this." On this day, he chose a rich Shiraz from South Africa. I really love this restaurant.

At a restaurant where you can eat rare "Iga beef" that is not commonly available in most of the top 100 stores in 2022, grilling on a net, it is common to have brand beef grilled in Mie Prefecture, but probably in Osaka there are only one or two places like Hanzo. Grilling on a net means placing a net on charcoal and grilling meat marinated in garlic sweet soy sauce on the far infrared rays of charcoal. Although there are menu options like sirloin, loin, and ribeye, overwhelmingly the fillet (even though it's Osaka, it's annoying that they don't call it tenderloin out of respect for Mie) is delicious. In Kansai, there is a famous place called "〇〇" where you split it with a fork, but at Hanzo, it is so tender that even elementary school students can easily cut it with chopsticks and eat it endlessly. If you get carried away and order more, you may be shocked at the bill, but it is a popular long-established restaurant that has been operating for over 30 years in a hard-to-find location. It is often difficult to make a reservation in one go, and regular customers are so addicted that they make a reservation for the next visit before leaving. The dishes I received were appetizer salad, grilled fillet roast, sirloin steak, grilled vegetables, sukiyaki with tomatoes, pickles, oatmeal, bottled beer, highball. The dipping sauce was flavorful and the high-quality meat grilled over charcoal was exquisite. The tomato sukiyaki was also excellent. For the finishing touch, you can choose between oatmeal and udon. The oatmeal with a rich flavor was a perfect way to end the meal. Definitely coming back for more delicious grilled meat!

Visited the restaurant for a business dinner with a client. We chose grilled meat over sukiyaki and shabu-shabu, and ordered the fillet. The meat was cooked on the grill with sauce, and it was incredibly tender and not greasy at all. The best part was that it was so delicious that we couldn't stop eating. We even ordered additional ribeye because we couldn't get enough. Despite being a bit fattier, it was still not greasy at all. It was a great experience of enjoying delicious grilled meat without feeling heavy afterwards. It was so tasty!

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for a long time. This time, I visited with 6 members of my foodie group. The menu is simple, with options like grilled dishes, sukiyaki, and shabu-shabu. Recently, my favorite restaurant in the meat genre is located in Shinmachi. It has been around for many years and offers sukiyaki, grilled dishes, and the rare Iga beef that is hard to find in Osaka. There are table seats and tatami rooms, and I prefer the tatami room where there is a charcoal bed in the middle of the table, giving it a hearth-like atmosphere. The meal includes spinach ohitashi, salad, ichibo tataki, and thick fillet portions that are dipped in a garlic sauce before grilling. The vegetables are also grilled after being dipped in the garlic sauce. The meat is so tender that you don't even need chopsticks to eat it. The moment it enters your mouth, you will be impressed. The rice set outside of the course includes rice, miso soup, and pickles, which are a must-order as the variety of pickles is impressive. I highly recommend this place.

One of my favorite yakiniku restaurants in Osaka is Hanzo in Yotsubashi, Shimmachi, Nishi Ohashi. The unique feature of this place is that they only serve Iga beef, which you can enjoy in yakiniku, sukiyaki, or shabu-shabu courses. I always go for the yakiniku course, where you can grill the meat on the hearth's grill. The quality of the upper loin and upper sirloin beef is incredibly tender and delicious. It's a special place where you can truly savor the quality of Iga beef.

This is my favorite meat shop in Osaka. This time, I requested to be taken to Hanzo-san again. The impact of the pandemic has made it difficult to secure Iga beef supply, even for specialty stores, as the proprietress mentioned. After the meal, we will go drinking, so this time we only ordered one bottle of South African Shiraz for ¥8000. The wine cellar is filled with wines that go well with meat. This time, the appetizer included delicious water eggplants. I heard that Izumi in Osaka is a water eggplant producing area. As usual, I marinated the meat that can be cut with chopsticks in the original garlic sauce and grilled it... I was thrilled with the Iga beef at Hanzo-san that I had been longing for. When I come to Osaka again, I will have them take me here.

I decided to have a small year-end party and called the restaurant at 7:00 pm on the day of the event, hoping to make a reservation for 2 people starting at 8:00 pm. Surprisingly, the owner agreed even though it was just 2 people. We decided to go to Hanzo due to the late hour and the need to consider the quantity and content of the food. We ordered two servings of fillet. The price seems to have gone up again, maybe around 11,000 yen per serving? We also ordered bottled beer and oolong tea. When the meat and vegetables arrived, the fillet looked very dignified with 4 slices for 2 servings. We quickly grilled them on the net, dipped them in sauce, and grilled them lightly again. The fillet was incredibly tender, with the garlic punch in the sauce enhancing the flavor of the meat. Oh no, I forgot to take a picture and hastily snapped one. The food is always delicious whenever I come here. We finished our meal and still had room in our stomachs for the second year-end party at another place. Thank you for the meal.

When I came to Osaka, I was taken to my favorite Iga beef specialty restaurant, Hanzo, which I would definitely regret not going to. This time, I chose a full bottle of Cabernet from the many wines in the cellar. The dressing for the salad here is also very delicious, I love it so much that I want to buy it and take it home. For the finale, I had noodles with egg. I was very satisfied once again this time.
