During a business trip to Anping Town, I stopped by a restaurant called "Omeshokujo Aoba" for lunch. It's a quaint little place with only one other group of customers. I quickly ordered the "Anpe Don" (750 yen). You might be wondering what Anpe Don is, right? It's a dish where beef is mixed with spinach and bean sprouts, similar to bibimbap. It was delicious! Refreshing and perfect for summer.

Anping Town Oiwake in Chasing is a dining place♪ The parking lot is very spacious, with room for about 20 cars to park. It's like a drive-in. I've visited here a few times before, and they used to have dishes like hamburgers, tonkatsu, curry rice on the menu, but now they have boldly restructured to only offer "ramen" and "donburi"! The variety has decreased, and the glass showcase looks a bit empty, with the samples looking a little lonely...◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎◎I'm currently on a rice-free diet, so I tried the Miso Ramen for 600 yen. The outside sign says "Oiwake Ramen," but I wonder if this naming is unique to this shop? I've never heard of "Oiwake Ramen" anywhere else. I tried it without expecting much...but it's actually quite good!! It's authentic ramen!! The soup has a rich flavor, and the chashu pork is tender and delicious. It's really tasty for 600 yen. The quality of this "Oiwake Ramen" is amazing! I recommend the Miso Ramen (^^)/

Located along National Route 234 in Anping Town, there is a restaurant with a big sign that reads "Oshokusho Aoba Oiwake Ramen." Today, I tried the following dish: - Large Ebi Tempura Rice Bowl (980 yen): Among the many menu options including ramen, soba, udon, donburi, and set meals, I chose this dish. I saw the words "Large Ebi Tempura Rice Bowl" written on the wall of the garage under the big sign outside, so I thought this must be the recommended dish. Also, since today is my birthday, the word "ebi" (shrimp) sounded auspicious to me, so I chose this dish. The "Large Ebi Tempura Rice Bowl" that arrived was honestly not that large in terms of shrimp size, more like a "not small Tempura Rice Bowl." However, the tempura coating was crispy and delicious. I was satisfied enough. Thank you for the meal. Looking at the menu in the photo, you can see that this restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes. I definitely want to come back to "Aoba."

The sign and exterior of the restaurant are colorful and eye-catching, and there are many customers dining in their cars. I entered with some expectations and decided to try the miso ramen, which seemed to be recommended. The soup was on the rich side, but a bit too salty for my taste. The noodles were surprisingly soggy and clumped together. It made me wonder if they were cooked improperly or if the kitchen was too busy to pay attention. I finished my meal while feeling disappointed as it didn't meet my expectations.

This place is located in Anping-cho, Oibun, along National Route 234, but for more detailed location information, please check on the map on Tabelog as usual. This restaurant has caught my attention for a while, and I finally visited it for the first time. I parked my car in the large parking lot where even large vehicles can park, and then I entered the restaurant while looking at the sign for Anping-yaki. Inside the windbreak room, there were food sample menus that are now nostalgic, and even inside the restaurant, there were food sample menus displayed. I sat at a table for four as I proceeded further inside. I checked the menu as usual, and there was a general menu and a separate menu for ramen, but I ordered the "Shio Ramen" as usual. It arrived in 6-7 minutes, and it was a "Shio Ramen" with chicken chashu, which is not often seen. First, I tried the soup, which was a double soup of fish stock and chicken bone broth, giving a complex and slightly salty taste. Next was the noodles, which were slightly thicker and higher in water content than the commonly seen medium-thick curly noodles. Lastly, the toppings included 4 slices of chicken chashu, menma, wakame, sheet seaweed, and slightly thicker green onions. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nostalgic, reminiscent of a traditional drive-in. What caught my attention was the "Anping-yaki," which was not on the menu, but there was something called "Anpe-don," so I would like to try it next time I pass by during lunchtime.

The other day when I went to play park golf in Anping/Yunihou, I had "shrimp bowl" for lunch. The menu photo showed a very large shrimp, but when it actually came out, I was a bit disappointed to see a smaller shrimp. You could see the rice underneath... A little disappointing. But the taste was good. Both the rice and shrimp were delicious.

On October 16, 2011, I revisited the restaurant "Aoba" with my wife after missing lunch. We arrived around 2 pm at this restaurant, which is like a drive-in with a variety of dishes. Although they have a local specialty called Anpei yaki, I chose the special miso ramen, while my wife went for the tempura rice bowl. Despite the late hour, there were two families enjoying their meals, indicating that the place might be popular. The dishes arrived after a 10-minute wait. The ramen had a generous amount of pork, resembling braised pork rather than traditional chashu. The tempura rice bowl looked as expected. The ramen tasted ordinary, like a typical miso ramen you would find at a casual eatery. The noodles were firm and satisfying, but the pork didn't suit my taste. Overall, it was a decent but unremarkable ramen. The issue arose with the tempura rice bowl my wife had. She looked disappointed from the start and later handed me the bowl, complaining about the overly salty sauce. It was perhaps the saltiest tempura rice bowl she had ever tasted. This experience left us feeling underwhelmed, and we couldn't find a compelling reason to return to this restaurant. While there may be other delicious items on the menu, it's essential to consider more common taste preferences. Thank you for the meal!

The sign for "Anpei Yaki" in Oshu Town, along Route 234, caught my eye and I decided to check it out. The interior of the restaurant had a nostalgic Showa era atmosphere. The glass case at the entrance displayed food samples (so nostalgic!). I decided to order the Anpei Yaki, as it seemed to be the specialty here. I imagined it would be like sukiyaki. After a wait of about ten minutes, the Anpei Yaki arrived! It sizzled on the ceramic plate, similar to Genghis Khan style. Thinly sliced beef, seafood, and vegetables were served, and the portion was generous. It was enjoyed with a sauce similar to Genghis Khan. The beef didn't have a strong smell and tasted delicious. Perhaps beef is a specialty of this area? The set meal included salad, chawanmushi, rice, miso soup, and pickles, all for 1260 yen, which I thought was a good deal. I was full and satisfied. The Gyuujuu Teishoku that I ordered along with it was even more substantial. It featured beef seasoned in a sukiyaki style, with spinach, thinly cooked egg, and more, providing a satisfying meal even for men. It cost 1360 yen. If you're intrigued by the sign, why not give it a try? The staff also recommended their ramen.
