What about doing weird things... that's a eccentric performer, just kidding! A yellow child cow... that's a yellow calf, just kidding! Okay, that's enough jokes! Now, onto the review. This time, it's about "Miyadaya Higashinaeho Store." It was during Golden Week when I asked my mother what she wanted for Mother's Day, and for once, she clearly said, "I want drip coffee." It's so much easier when they tell you what they want, right? So, I decided to get some for her as a gift. I also bought a special blend from Miyadaya for myself, which cost 580 yen for 100g. The label mentioned it's slightly bitter, and indeed, it had a strong bitterness with a good depth of flavor. I had heard Miyadaya's coffee is great value for money, and I agree.

Located in the Higashinaoho area, this cafe chain is situated along the Sankakuten-dori. I have visited a few times in the past, but it has been a while since my last visit as I did not have a food blog back then. The cafe has plenty of parking space, making it convenient to visit. The building is a renovated stone warehouse, with a stylish interior featuring dim lighting. There are seats available on the second floor as well, more than what you might expect from the outside. They offer a variety of coffee and drink options, as well as a selection of food items, making it suitable for meals as well. During my recent visit for a break after lunch, I ordered the "Miyadaya Special Blend (580 yen)" from the coffee menu. The Miyadaya Special Blend had low acidity, a good depth of flavor, and was easy to drink, making it quite enjoyable. While the prices are slightly higher compared to major cafe chains, I think it's a good choice when you want to spend time in a calm atmosphere.

Today, I spent the whole day consuming cold things and I wanted to warm up with a hot coffee, so I went to Miyadaya for the first time in a while. I really like the atmosphere of this place. The seating is spacious, although the chairs can be a bit hard depending on where you sit. - Pumpkin Tart (seasonal item) There are plenty of Sweet Lady Jane's tarts available, but I decided on the seasonal pumpkin tart because it looked delicious. The tart crust here is moist and easy to cut with a fork, yet still has a crispy texture thanks to the craftsmanship. It's rare to find a tart that is so easy to eat. And the pumpkin is incredibly sweet. A complete dessert. It has a moist and terrine-like texture rather than being chunky. The pumpkin is delicious. They really know how to use it. - Wiener Coffee I wanted some milky sweetness, so I ordered the Wiener Coffee. The cream on top is incredibly delicious. I want to have it on its own. It's really delicious. Maybe they serve it with a Gâteau au Chocolat (I wonder if they have Gâteau au Chocolat). The coffee has a good balance of bitterness and a refreshing aftertaste, making it easy to drink. It's nice that there is no acidity. And it's not too bitter, so it's easy to drink at any time. I ordered a strong coffee and a walnut cake. The coffee had a rich European flavor that I enjoyed. The walnut cake was clearly made for adults, with plenty of nuts mixed in. It had a mild sweetness and the texture and flavor of the nuts added a nice touch. Overall, it was a delicious treat. I paired my coffee with a historical novel by Yuichi Sasaki, "The Targeted Hatamoto," from the Samurai Nobles series. Currently on a strict weight loss plan, I resisted the temptation of sweets like parfaits, but the Coffee Parfait caught my eye. Once I achieve my weight loss goals, I will definitely indulge in one.

Since this cafe specializes in coffee, I wanted to have coffee, but due to my stomach not feeling well, I chose grape juice instead. I selected a fruit cake from the options available, and both the doria and cake were delicious. The lunch is not very cheap, but it's worth it once in a while. As I entered the restaurant, I noticed that they sell coffee beans by weight near the register. They also have coffee-related goods like iced coffee and coffee pots for sale. The spacious interior had a rustic feel with a high ceiling that gave a sense of history. We were told to choose our seats, so we picked a large table. It was lunchtime, and the staff seemed a bit busy, so we took a look at the menu while waiting. They had sandwich and gratin sets that seemed satisfying enough. I ordered the classic three-mix sandwich as a hot sandwich, along with the Miyata-ya Special coffee. My companion ordered the Caramel Vienna Coffee. The staff seemed a bit short-handed, as they were rushing around and it was a bit unsettling. Despite the rush, the service was surprisingly quick. The sandwich was thin and disappeared quickly, but it was a reasonable price for a light meal at a café. A few hours later, I was hungry again (laughs). The coffee had a strong aroma, as expected from a coffee shop. They had a variety of coffee beans to choose from, so coffee lovers would enjoy it. I also bought a bottled iced coffee on my way out, and it was delicious, living up to its higher price.

There is a coffee-related shop next to the entrance where you can also take away sandwiches and cakes. The first floor is non-smoking, while the second floor allows smoking. I sat at a table on the first floor. On this day, I arrived on a Saturday morning around 11 am and had a set of 4 sandwiches and a cafe latte for 1,130 yen. I couldn't take a picture of the menu, so it's not very accurate, but the set included shrimp cutlet, chicken tartare, potato salad, and raw vegetable sandwiches. I was told that I could have the bread toasted, so I asked for that. The basic set with regular coffee is 1,010 yen, but with a cafe latte, it's an additional 120 yen. Both the sandwiches and cafe latte were delicious. I had planned to order the cheaper sandwich set for breakfast that I had checked on Tabelog, but unfortunately, the morning sandwich set was no longer available on the menu. The morning set is only available from 10 to 11:30 am. Instead, I had to order the more expensive sandwich set from the regular menu. I was a bit disappointed because I was in the mood for sandwiches that day, not toast. Authentic coffee shops tend to be a bit more expensive even in a set. I usually go to places where the drink after a meal is only around 100-250 yen more, so I was a bit hesitant about the higher drink prices at this cafe. When I think of a dimly lit stone warehouse cafe, it reminds me of the North One Hall at Kitaichi Glass in Otaru, where I used to go often in the past. I haven't been there in a while, but now I feel like going back. The pricing is a bit tough for someone on a budget, so it's not easy to come here often, but next time, I might come specifically for the morning set when I'm in the mood for toast. I had a simple pancake. It had maple syrup on it, but I felt like there was too much syrup and I couldn't taste the pancake itself. It was too sweet for my liking. The pancake was fluffy. The Berry Herb pancake had a strong herb flavor that made it hard to drink. The seasonal strawberry and fruit pancake had sour strawberries and was also very sweet with lots of maple syrup, so I couldn't taste the original flavor of the pancake. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. The Orange Pekoe (Ceylon) black tea was delicious.

It's crowded because it's Sunday. The bike parking lot is full. The inside of the store is also crowded, but for some reason, it feels like a calm space. Maybe it's because of the stone interior. I like the Strong Blend -> More Strong Blend please. It was very warm and comforting.

It's been a long time since I visited Miyadaya. I used to come here often, but due to job transfers and other reasons, I haven't been here in over 10 years. Today, I'm taking a break with some business associates. The first floor is non-smoking, and the second floor is for smokers, but there are quite a few heavy smokers here, so you can still smell smoke on the non-smoking floor. I ordered the original blend A for 500 yen. It's smooth with a bit of bitterness, just right for me. I could also taste a hint of burnt flavor in the distance. Thanks for the delicious coffee. My friend had the American coffee and the fruit cake. The Miyadaya blend coffee has a nice balance of bitterness. It's easier to drink compared to the previous strong blend. The berry tart has a rich flavor. It's also delicious. Pointless chatter, delicious coffee, and delicious cake. Before you know it, you lose track of time.

"Miyauchi Coffee," a coffee bean specialty store founded in Sapporo in 1989. I visited the "Miyauchi Coffee Higashinaeho Store," a favorite of my coffee-loving friend. The shop is spacious and rare, with two floors. You can choose your favorite seat. The dimly lit interior has a lovely atmosphere with calm JAZZ music playing, creating an adult space. We went to the second floor. Going up the large staircase, you can see that the inside of the shop is more spacious than it looks from the outside. The triangular ceiling design reveals thick beams, and the light coming in from the skylight creates a gentle atmosphere. The well-worn charm over the years makes it a comfortable and cozy space. The tables are well spaced apart, and there are partitions, so you hardly notice the presence of nearby customers, which is great! Miyauchi Coffee's special blend coffee is carefully brewed one cup at a time with beans roasted at their own factory. The recommended special blend was rich and aromatic, making it delicious.
