The first installment of the "Single Nobleman Club" for 30-something single members of the company, where we try drinking at a slightly upscale restaurant! For the first round, we decided on the restaurant "Shin Yuuki" as it is close by and frequently mentioned in reviews on Tabelog. Our budget was around 10,000 to 15,000 yen. We made a reservation a week in advance and managed to secure a table. Upon arrival, we found the restaurant to have a calm and sophisticated atmosphere, not too formal but just right. By 7 pm, all tables were full except for the one we reserved. The set course was priced at 7,500 yen, and there were plenty of tempting a la carte options as well. We decided to go with the course for our first visit. The appetizers were elegant and delicious, followed by a unique dish resembling a brulee with salmon roe and sea urchin. The soup, featuring abalone and sea cucumber, had a luxurious taste. The sashimi was fresh and tasty, while the grilled fish, including horse mackerel, silver whiting, and sablefish, was exceptionally delicious. The steamed dish with red snapper and shrimp was also delightful. The fried lotus root was crispy and flavorful, although slightly fibrous. The main meat dish, likely Saga beef with onion skewers, was of high quality. We debated whether to end with the recommended chilled soba with sudachi, which was refreshing and a perfect conclusion to the meal. We enjoyed about 4.5 drinks per person, resulting in a bill of over 35,000 yen for three people, averaging around 12,000 yen per person. The food was enjoyable, high-quality, and worth the price. We look forward to trying a la carte options next time. The three-hour dining experience flew by, with the attentive service and pleasant ambiance making it a memorable evening. The owner even escorted us to the door and gave us a business card. It's definitely a place we'd like to visit again!
