Having been very satisfied with the previous crab course, I decided to visit the restaurant again. I made a reservation for a weekday at 11:30 and arrived just as the restaurant opened. I was shown to a private room, allowing me to enjoy a leisurely lunch with my friend. The room had a door, creating a private atmosphere. The bench seating was great because it provided plenty of space for our bags. The drink menu also had a wide selection of non-alcoholic options. Since I had driven there, I was disappointed I couldn't enjoy alcohol, but decided to savor the atmosphere with non-alcoholic drinks. The staff suggested a grape juice that was reminiscent of wine, so my friend and I ordered both white and red to share. We received two glasses of each, and they also brought us sparkling water, which was a thoughtful touch.
We started with a beautifully arranged platter of three appetizers. Each dish had a delicate flavor that was comforting and nourishing. Following that, we enjoyed a small bowl of egg tofu topped with crab sauce, which was delightful. Next, we were served sashimi consisting of fish and fresh snow crab. I was thrilled to discover how sweet and creamy the fresh crab was; I found myself wanting more after the first few bites. The sashimi was fluffy and burst in flavor in my mouth.
Then came the highlight, the crab served in its shell. The shell was packed with an abundance of crab meat, accompanied by some salmon roe. I enjoyed it plain to savor the natural flavor, occasionally adding crab vinegar to enhance the taste. Since the crab was so carefully prepared beforehand, it was easy and enjoyable to eat a lot of it. My friend and I discussed how it was the perfect lunch as we savored each bite.
Next up were the freshly fried tempura. The crispy vegetables were delicious, but the snow crab tempura was exceptional. You could really taste the crab, and it was served with pink salt and dipping sauce for added flavor. After that, we were treated to the star of the meal: mini crab chirashi sushi. It was piled high with crab, sushi rice, crab flakes, finely cut seaweed, eggs, and luxurious salmon roe. The generous portion left us full.
The soup was a soothing taste of Japanese cuisine, and the pickles even came in the shape of a gourd, which was adorable. We ended with a perfectly portioned matcha panna cotta to refresh our palates, enjoying a delightful moment together.
Overall, this course offered a careful preparation of crab, allowing for various ways to enjoy it. The value for the quality was excellent, making it a paradise for crab lovers. Dining in a peaceful private room is also recommended for those who want to have a nice conversation. The restaurant staff mentioned that crab dishes take time to prepare, so making a reservation is suggested.
