After Soup Curry Double, I was looking for a nice place to have some bread since you can eat it later. I came across a stylish bakery with parking right in front of the store. The interior was cozy and the owner, who seemed to be a woman, was watching over everything. The selection of bread was all charming and cute, making it hard to choose. I ended up getting the Winnie the Pooh French toast because it was just too adorable to resist. They packed it nicely in a paper bag for me. I also tried the tea muffin, which was light and not too sweet. Even though it felt hard to the touch when I got home a few hours later, the inside was soft and delicious. It seems like slicing and toasting the bread at home would be the best way to enjoy it. Each bread looked like it was made with care. The woman at the store was very friendly and her personality seemed to reflect in the food she made. She even saw me off as I left, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a cozy and heartwarming experience. Thank you for the meal.

I had dinner at "Paon" for the next day's bread. I always thought it was pronounced "Pao," but it's actually "Paon"! It seems like this is the only branch now, despite being called "Maruyama Store." I wonder if there were other branches in the past. I ordered the following bread: Yuzu Anpan (¥180) and Herb Bread (¥340, limited to weekends). The Yuzu Anpan has white bean paste with yuzu peel mixed in. It was a seasonal limited edition item, and I heard they were sold out on the day of my visit, so I had to get it! The subtle sweetness of the white bean paste with the refreshing taste of yuzu peel spreads in your mouth with just a light bite. The texture of the bean paste is irresistible, and the soft dough with a gentle wheat flavor is also impressive. The Herb Bread is made with basil and parsley mixed into the bread dough made with Shirakami Kodama yeast, and olive oil on the surface. It starts off almost odorless when opened, but the aroma emerges with the help of a toaster oven. It has a crispy outer texture with a fragrant and chewy interior. The right amount of olive oil adds a light flavor, and the sweetness you taste with each bite showcases the charm of Shirakami Kodama yeast. Next time, I'll try the bagel. If I visit from afar, I'll have to eat the French toast right away. They also sell accessories and cookies, so it seems like a place you can enjoy in various ways. Thank you for the meal.

Chocolate bagel - It's delicious.
Melon pan - It's delicious.
Bacon epi - Lacks bacon and pepper flavor, more like just bread.
Croque-monsieur - Not enough filling, too much bread.
Potato quiche - Good balance of fluffy filling and solid crust, but could use more flavor.
French toast - It's delicious.
Baked curry bread - Lacks curry filling, more like curry-flavored bread.
You can buy a single slice of bread.
Good customer service.
There is a stamp card for 500 yen.

I visited around 15:40 on a regular day.
- Tandoori chicken calzone for 260 yen: It had plenty of cabbage and a good amount of chicken, making it a well-balanced and nutritious bread! And it was delicious too!
- Baked curry bread: Since it's baked and not fried, it's light and healthy. It may not have the same appeal as fried bread, but it was enjoyable. The curry was of the keema variety.
- Corn bagel for 220 yen: A rare find, a corn bagel that I had never seen before. I bought it out of curiosity and it turned out to be delicious as expected.

I visited around 17:40 on Saturday.
- Cinnamon bread 360 yen: It was fluffy, moist, and filling. The cinnamon flavor was just right, not too strong or too weak.
- Plain bagel 170 yen: It felt amazing when picked up with tongs! It was chewy, fluffy, and had a unique texture. They seem to have a variety of bagels I haven't tried before. I would like to try ordering in advance next time.

I had a matcha bagel. The dough had a hint of red bean paste mixed in, and the sweetness was just right and delicious. I also bought a freshly baked curry bun, but I forgot to take a picture... a common mistake. The filling of the curry bun was not too spicy, so it seems good for those who don't like spicy food.

There is a cute bear-shaped French toast at a certain shop. There is also a cash register line on weekends. The French toast is filled with strawberry jam inside, making it cute and delicious. Inside the shop, there are also handmade accessories by artists.

I happened to see a sign and decided to stop by. I ended up purchasing some items. The "Baked Curry Bread" for 237 yen was slightly crispy with breadcrumbs. It tasted relatively fresh and the homemade curry was delicious and well-received by everyone. It might have had corn in it. The "Mushroom & Bacon Quiche" for 345 yen was still good even after some time had passed. The base crust was crispy, which I liked. The combination of mushrooms and bacon was excellent, making it a tasty quiche. The "Fruit & Nut Cake" for 313 yen caught my eye instantly. It was packed with raisins, cranberries, figs, blueberries, almonds, and more. It was so dense that you might wonder where the flour was. I would love to try more items from this bakery. That's how my experience was at this bakery.

Recently, I've been exploring bakeries in the Maruyama area (it's a perfect distance for traveling by bicycle). The bakeries mostly specialize in soft bread. Here are my thoughts on a couple of items I tried:
- Walnut and Raisin Bread: This bread had a strong rum-flavored raisin with large pieces, which is great for raisin lovers! The texture of the bread is similar to a bagel, dense and chewy. I debated whether to reheat it in the toaster, but ended up enjoying it as is. However, toasting it did make the walnuts more fragrant and the outside crispy while the inside remained fluffy. Both ways of eating it were good, but I personally prefer the chewy texture as it is.
- Fruit & Nut Cake: I saw this cake on Instagram and it looked delicious! It was a bit pricier than the other bread on display, but I couldn't resist the visual appeal. Although it's a single slice size, it's incredibly dense. The first ingredient listed is Hokkaido wheat, but the cake is packed with various ingredients. It's almost like a nut bar (in a good way). It's loaded with raisins, figs, cashews, cranberries, almonds, and blueberries, providing a satisfying eating experience. The large figs add a delightful chewiness. Even though it's from a bakery, I found this fruit cake more satisfying than those from regular cake shops. I highly recommend trying it if you come across it at the counter. I might just become a repeat customer if they have it again.

The other day, during a regular check-up at the university hospital, I visited a small and cozy bakery where cute breads were lined up. The store had a bright and adorable atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and allowed me to take photos. I ended up purchasing three items after some deliberation!
- "French Toast" (140 yen including tax): A cute bread shaped like Winnie the Pooh, with a strawberry jam filling that was not too sweet and easy to eat.
- "Keronpa" (240 yen including tax): A seasonal bread available only in June, filled with homemade chocolate cream that delighted my friend who loves sweet treats.
- "Herb Tomato" (345 yen including tax): A bread with basil kneaded into the dough, providing a chewy texture and a satisfying taste with plenty of dried tomatoes.
I really enjoyed the "Herb Tomato" bread and would love to visit again to try more of their offerings. Thank you, "Paon" bakery!

Located in the Maruyama area, this bakery is situated along a back street. There are a few parking spaces in front of the shop. The interior is small, with limited space for displaying products. When I arrived after noon, many of the breads were already sold out, but I purchased the bread shown in the photo. Although mostly prepared breads were on display, everything I bought was delicious. Not only were the breads tasty, but the staff's polite service was also great, making me want to visit again. Next time, I will go earlier to ensure they have a full selection of products.

During my shopping trip, I stopped by Bakery Pao Maruyama store. I was drawn in by the look of the Tandoori Chicken Calzone displayed inside. I decided to go in and ended up buying the Tandoori Chicken Calzone, Cinnamon Bretzel, and the weekend limited Bacon Cheese Quiche. The Tandoori Chicken had a delicious slightly spicy flavor that went well with the chewy dough. The Cinnamon Bretzel could use a bit more sweetness.

On a day off, I decided to look up a bakery to have some bread for breakfast. I found this place and decided to give it a try. I arrived at the shop about 30 minutes after it opened and parked my car in the front parking lot. A friendly staff member came out from the back to assist me. The shelves displayed a variety of delicious-looking bread, and I picked out a few items that caught my eye. The French toast, shaped like a cute bear, was fluffy and had a layer of strawberry jam between the slices, adding a nice balance of sweetness and tartness. The freshly baked melon pan had a soft and gentle sweetness to its cookie-like outer layer. The bacon quiche, available only on weekends, had a crispy crust and a moist, flavorful filling with the perfect combination of egg, bacon, and onion. It was delicious and one of my favorite quiches. The tandoori chicken calzone had a chewy crust filled with well-seasoned chicken and crunchy cabbage, providing a nice contrast of flavors and textures. All the items were tasty and reasonably priced, and the staff's service was excellent. I look forward to visiting again and trying out more of their offerings. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I visited during the daytime on a weekday in September, and it was a nice time with a wide variety of options. It was probably my 5th or 6th visit, and it has become one of my favorite bakeries recently. I didn't take a photo this time because I was in a hurry, but I bought chestnut bread, chestnut scones, and potato bread. I toasted them over the next few days and they were delicious. I will definitely go back again. Thank you for the meal!

In late August 2019, I walked from Tanukikoji Street to the Maruyama area and discovered a bakery called Pão that was open late. I bought rusk, 2 bagels, Winnie the Pooh French toast, and got a bonus item called Mya. I got the rusk, bagels, and French toast to enjoy at the hotel. The rusk was thinly sliced bagel with tomato seasoning, recommended by a running friend. The French toast had a moderate sweetness with strawberry jam (not too sweet). I think the bagels were blueberry and tomato, but I forgot. They would have been better if reheated. When I mentioned I was participating in a race the next day, they gave me a scone as a bonus, which would have been nice with tea. I hope to visit again next year. Thank you for the delicious meal. On a certain holiday, I took a leisurely walk from the Subway Miyanozawa Station and stopped by a small bakery located along the back approach to Maruyama area, which I had always wanted to visit. The shop was not very spacious, with a few carefully selected breads displayed. When I arrived in the evening, most of the breads were already sold out. However, I decided to try some of the remaining items from the menu. I chose the "2.1cm thick sliced bread (56 yen per slice + tax)" and was pleasantly surprised when the staff kindly offered to sell me just one slice. When I got home and tried it, I found the bread to be moist, soft, and with a strong wheat flavor. The crust had a nice elasticity, which I liked. I also tried the "Sakura sweet bean paste bread (150 yen + tax)" which had salted cherry blossom petals on top. The gentle flavor of the bread paired well with the perfectly balanced sweet bean paste, making it delicious even without the cherry blossom flavor. Lastly, I tried the "Earl Grey bagel (190 yen + tax)" which had small black specks in the white dough, giving it a hint of Earl Grey tea flavor. The bagel had a good chewy texture typical of bagels. Despite the limited selection due to the late hour of my visit, I could feel the kindness emanating from the staff and the bread. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

This is the path behind Maruyama Park. I came to a new bakery nearby, but once again, it was closed due to being sold out! I had anticipated this, so I had registered to visit this bakery called Paon. It's a small shop, but it always seems to be popular with lots of customers coming in. I'm planning to go to a cafe later, so I'll just buy a little bit of bread for now. First, I'm aiming for the French toast! Pooh's bread! And the Tandoori Chicken bread! Tandoori Chicken Calzone - 220 yen French Toast - 130 yen I'll have them for lunch at work. Pooh's French toast is made by sandwiching strawberry jam between French toast in the shape of Pooh. It's only 130 yen, which is cheap! It's quite sweet and dense. Definitely more suited for kids! One of these would be enough for a small child. Not for adults! Haha. The Tandoori Chicken Calzone is filled with curry and tender chicken, offering a more mature taste. It's quite filling! At 220 yen, it's a great deal! I only got two this time, but I recommend this bakery for its cheap and delicious bread. I definitely want to come back here! Thank you for the meal!

Used for breakfast. Visited with family. Some thoughts:
- Located near Nishi 18-chome Station.
- Bought mini French bread.
- Overall, many simple bread options.
- However, they have deep flavors.
- Very delicious.
- The person who seemed to be the manager was very kind to the children.
